The K9 Training Institute is a social impact organization that was formed to improve the relationship that dog owners around the world have with their pets.
We teach a large number of dog owners every year on the very best ways to train their dogs based on our own research on animal behavior.
We are especially passionate about training rescued dogs and giving them a second chance at finding a loving and caring family.
The company has garnered a positive reputation for its effective dog training techniques, with many customers noting significant improvements in their pets' behavior through the provided resources. The training methods, emphasizing operant conditioning and practical strategies, resonate well with users, fostering a sense of joy in the training process. However, a recurring concern is the affordability of the programs, as several customers express difficulty in accessing paid resources due to financial constraints. Overall, the company is viewed favorably for its informative content and supportive approach, yet it may benefit from exploring more accessible pricing options to enhance customer satisfaction.

I feel more confident in starting training my puppy after watching the free video. It makes a lot of sense and is very motivating
I listened to the whole training and watched the videos. I am using some of the training I watched with my new dog ( body language) and will practice the way to avoid jumping on people when my kids come to visit with my other dog( not sure how I would do this with strangers- do I tell them to come forward to a jumping dog?!). All in all, I learned a few things I did not understand before ( ex. Operant training using all four quadrants of reinforcements). A good start to understanding the needs of dogs and their training.
I only recently clicked on the Free workshop to just check it out to see if there was something new or different to try with my new puppy & 4 year dog that's behavior has digressed since the new puppy's arrival. I found the information provided very useful and will continuing to learn more from this program moving forward.
I'm still working on this with my dogs but it is much quieter in the house when someone comes to the door
They give awesome information and very informative! Thank you for all the information you gave me.
Easy to follow, great new ideas. My border collie Molly is very cleaver and she follow my commands well very well and she can communicate with us as what she wants, so this extra training will be great.
The K9 Training Institute has been very informative and helping me understand what is going on with my dog, and how I could help him. Their training has helped me understand that I have been, unbeknown to me, promoting my dog's problematic behaviors.
It had great information and something I am interested in.
I just don't have the money nor will I any time soon.
I started using the tips and advice in the workshop and Dolly has become so much more responsive.
The information was sound and would prove invaluable for the first time dog owner.
I dont agree with training dog not to bark when people come to the door. This is after all one of a dog's jobs, to warn the owner of someone approaching. To guard the door of the house. If someone does approach your house with bad intent a barking dog can be a deterrent. Hence the saying 'You dont get a dog and bark yourself'.
The advice on 'Jumping up' is very good. Introducing dog owners to the idea that a dog needs work is excellent. I couldnt agree more with this. Seeing dogs lolling about on the furniture or causing havoc by galloping around the house is just asking for bad habits. Dogs need to learn Non negotiable commands. Like if you are lucky enough to be invited into the house you tuck yourself into a corner and lie quietly until told otherwise.
I never had the pulling on the leash problem as I have taught my dog to 'Get in behind' so she remaines behind me until released. After a while she did this automatically if something happened and waited for me to direct ie someone approached us or another dog appeared etc. But its good to have another option if I am forced to use a leash.
I have learned a lot from the free workshop! It was a great experience taking notes and learning from those who have spent years in the field.
She does sit with hand sign.
Starting walking and she still pulls so working on that area.
This has helped me with training and preparing for the arrival of my pup! Never have I expected to know so much about dogs in such little time. Ver grateful for this website.
Although my puppy has already just started and paid for a training school before I saw this free lesson, I learned some excellent tools that are already working. I appreciate it and if the current puppy training school doesn't work out, I'll sign up for this one.
Enjoyed watching the video. Tried the technique for ignoring doggo and walking toward her when she jumps up. Tova responded quickly. She also responds to laying on her bed, most of the time. She is good on the lead for me, but not so good with the family. So, I need to train the family.
I did the free dog training workshop and it was brilliant. Even if you can't afford the full course there are enough really groundbreaking ideas to change the way you work with your dog.
It was so good I am seriously trying to work out how I can pay for the 10 week program.,
