I ordered from Mr.Cod estimated delivery time 25 to 30 minutes one hour later estimate still said 35 to 50 minutes constantly changing. I rang the restaurant who barely spoke English said not their problem. Ring Just Eat obviously there is no way to contact Just Eat just ridiculous round the houses questions that don't answer anything or helping in anyway after two hours I gave up and just cooked my own dinner assuming my order would just be cancelled and I would be refunded. I ordered at 5:45 pm and just after 9 pm a knock at the door the courier was there and said are you joking? It's been over three and a quarter hours he apologised and said just take the order and complain they'll give you money back. I said I don't want it. I've eaten he left it anyway obviously I complained to Just Eat who first of all offer me a refund of £6 I said are you joking? I've already eaten. I want a full refund. The food is in the bin. I escalated the complaint which then came back and said I accepted the order therefore they wouldn't be giving me anything. I then complained again whether they then offer me £3 as a goodwill gesture. I told them to forget it I spent hours complaining getting nowhere. They're quite happy to take the money instantly but when it comes to a problem there's no resolve. There's no contact number or contact to email to complain. You have to go through their ridiculous system which is designed to make you give up because it's so ridiculous and then when they feel like it they may reply so I spent £18 on food which I received over 3 1/4 hours after it was supposed to be stone cold which went into the bin, I expected more from a big company like Just Eat especially as I am a JustEat+ customer which means I pay a premium for free and better delivery well what a joke I will never be ordering from this place again absolute rip off they put pounds on top of the menu prices in store then charge you for a delivery then service charge and pay the illegal immigrants to deliver it for a pittance a disgrace of a company roll on digital ID where they'll have no way of employing illegal immigrants goodbye Just Eat
If it were possible to give zero stars I would but sadly this Sonia allows a minimum of one Star not even worth it. They've only got 1.4 star rating because you are forced to give them one star if zero star was possible their rating would be zero disgraceful company appalling customer service. Just don't bother guys it's not worth it. You're getting scammed from start to finish. Hiking the menu prices to make more money then charging new service charge when you don't get service charging you begging fee when all you get if you're lucky is a cheap plastic carrier bag costing about one pence mine came in a paper bag costing about the same yellow. I got charged nearly £2 bagging fee God I'm so angry with this company I put in a complaint with my bank and will be applying to the small claims court. I know it's a trivial matter but it's principle these companies can't be allowed to get away with this. They're making millions of legal immigrants and scamming the customers.

Food arrived 45 minutes late after waiting 2 hours from a restaurant 10 miles away, it was stone cold, only edible thing was the salad, reviewed restaurant with one star and just eat changed it to two stars. Contracted just eat via email, no refund, poor customer service, wish I had read the poor reviews for this company before I used them, won't use this dishonest company again.
I received an incorrect item that I could not eat. I followed the in-app process, sent the photo they asked for, and expected a quick fix - instead I got templated replies and a final decision pointing me to the FAQ. No one addressed what actually happened. No refund. If this is how clear, evidenced issues are handled, avoid Just Eat and spend your money elsewhere.
After placing hundreds of successful orders with Just Eat over the years, I made a simple mistake and placed a collection order instead of delivery. The store itself was immediately willing to refund me, confirming the items were simply put back on the shelves and not wasted. Just Eat, however, refused any form of refund or goodwill gesture, hiding behind rigid policies and showing zero flexibility or loyalty towards a long-standing customer. Their customer service is slow, outdated, and offers no live chat – something many other apps already provide. Instead, I received canned responses and no real willingness to help. They've lost a loyal customer over pennies, and it says a lot about how little they value the people who use their platform.
Good never got here and apparently it's my fault. £100 con. Don't use. There are apps that actually work
Our order never arrived. Delivery driver never entered my property, did not knock or ring my video doorbell, and did not contact us on the phone number we provided. The driver managed to mark the order as delivered regardless of not receiving the 4 digit security code. Just Eat has no contact phone number, forcing you to go through their in app feedback form. We got a clearly automated/scripted reply stating that the driver had delivered, and yet could not provide me with proof of this. They have therefore refused us a refund. Please avoid this company, their security measures are corrupt!

Drivers are rude, telling me to hurry up and be quick about it, even shouting aggressively at me Ringling multiple door bells on the system. Absolute joke, I gave him the wrong dorr code by mistake as i was distraught at this point, he screamed "NO! WRONG CODE!" at me, was basically having a shouting match with this driver because i decided i dint deserve to be spoken to like a piece of rubbish in his way, he backed off after he realised I wasn't going to stand there and be spoken to like this, incredibly rude, I deal with the general public during work hours, i wound n t dare speak like this, disgrace Date of experience: 06 April 2025
The worst customer service I have ever experienced do not use this site ordered a pizza it was burnt to a crisp uneatable complained and just eat refused to do anything about it
I ordered food from McDonald's for over £20. When the courier arrived, he had someone else's order in his hand. I told him it wasn't mine and gave it back.
About 15-20 minutes later, he returned with my order, but the bag was open, the burgers were unwrapped, the fries were spilled, and everything was extra cold.
I contacted Just Eat, and they said they would compensate me with £10. I received an email stating that they had processed the refund and that it would arrive in my account within 5-7 days.
It's been 3 weeks, and I still haven't received the refund. When I reached out to them again, they told me that, according to their system, the case is solved.
On a number of occasion's, my order keeps being sent to a different part of town. My address is correct, this is a system error. Which started happening after they updated their site.
On this occasion the, the driver was lovely he looked up where I actually lived and delivered my order. Unfortunately it was stone cold. I requested a cold food refund which was denied.
This isn't fair to me the customer, the driver and the restaurant.
My food was not delivered. I ordered food today from just eat. On checking the app it says food was delivered but I never got the food
I made an order for collection. It was accepted. When I went to pick it up the restaurant didn't exist. Just Eat refused to help or issue a refund 'in alignment with their policies'. Apparently their policy is that it's okay that I blatantly got scammed as long as they get their cut of it.
I am absolutely disgusted with the appalling service from Just Eat. They completely failed to make any attempt to contact me, and I never received my order. They refused to refund.
I urge everyone to avoid using them for delivery. I am currently in the process of claiming a refund through PayPal, and I will be reporting Just Eat to Trading Standards for what I believe is illegal behaviour. Their customer service is a joke. The only way to contact them is through their useless website email, which is no help whatsoever.
Our work ordered £100 worth of food via just eat from MacDonalds after nearly 2 hours we were told they could not fulfill the order we then had to battle to get a refund
Last night I ordered food from KFC and I didn't receive it. They wrote that it was delivered and this is a lie. The children were waiting for dinner. Unfortunately, they went to bed hungry. The children were very sorry.
For years I've been using just eat. It all used to be good experiences however something has changed in the recent months I've had multiple issues where I've ordered food and delivery drivers have refused to accept the order in an attempt to find ones more local or better paying ect well here I am now after ordering my food an hour and a half ago and once again the driver has not yet been assigned if this was a one off id be ok with it however it's too frequent I think this is will be my final time using the app terrible service terrible to get to contact the company to discuss your issues they don't care about the customers anymore avoid…..
Cold food and missing 4 items. No refund or even credit given. Disgraceful customer service. Terrible, do not give you money to these people. Deleting app. Will never deal with them again.
Food is always cold and missing getting sick of it! I have to order my grocerys in as I'm disabled and now been on hold for hours to be cut off multiple times as I'm missing an item in my order and they are refusing to refund it! £3? Accusing me of lying when the shop has admitted they didn't include it, they said "tough" on the phone and hung up! It's disgusting. Apparently I've made too many claims for missing food! How is that the customers fault! You should be checking it! Now I'm getting transcripts and having to go legal on them it's a joke. Avoid using if you want a peaceful life and ITEMS YOU ORDER AND PAY FOR! COMPLETELY ILLEGAL. I'm seeking legal advice and will hold others will join me in reporting them as completely fraudulent. They admitted to not acting within the law and they refuse to give us an contact information or head office information to give to trading standards or the ombudsman, which I believe is blantant avoidance of legal responsibility and non compliance to consumer standards for a company. My husbands even a delivery driver, I don't think he will be anymore because he doesn't ethically agree with what they are doing to customers when he knows allot of the times the order is wrong!
I placed an urgent order with nappies and wet wipes for my disabled son. After i got the confirmation they send me a message saying the nappies arr not in stock and they will send me only the wet wipes. I have tried to cancel the order because i didn't want ony one item and i couldn't. There's no button for complains or cancellation. Poor quality service. I delete my account and never come back!
Ho ordinato che dicesse che l'ordine non era stato verificato e poi, dopo aver contattato l'assistenza, mi hanno letteralmente aiutato con nient'altro che presentare un rapporto, senza inviare nuovamente l'ordine, senza rimborso immediato, nulla e ora ho dovuto comportarmi come un pazzo e pagare due volte perché ho bisogno dell'ordine. Inaccettabile, il mio nuovo ordine dovrebbe arrivare alle 17:00, mentre la scadenza dell'originale era prevista per le 15:17 e ora tutto ciò che posso fare è sperare che il rimborso avvenga effettivamente
Answer: Don't use Just Eat. They don't give you credit when they tell you they have and steal your money.
Answer: Agree. They take your money and lie saying you didn't cancel your order within 5 mins so they've passed your money on to the restaurant even though they sent me an email confirming my order time and another email confirming the time it was cancelled 5 mins later but they said it was 10 mins later. The restaurant told me to cancel the order after a mix up and said they hadn't received my money from Just Eat. This after previously receiving a cheaper item in a seperate order when I paid for a more expensive item and they said they'd sent me a credit which I didn't receive. I will never ever use them again. I would rather starve myself to death!
