I received a customer quality survey from Joesav today. I was honest and rated them a 1 for poor service, delays, lying, etc. and they then took my survey, changed all the ratings and indicated I gave them 4.5 + and a great rating- though my narrative reflects their lies. The narrative isn't made public by them. They continue to be fraudulent- how dare they ask me for a review, change my ratings to the positive and then send me a copy of their rewrite. Wow- time for New Jersey and California Department of Consumer affairs to get a letter from me.
I ordered a new receiver on 9/4 and was promised upgraded delivery. No shipment as of 10/2- despite multiple calls prior to that date to shipping company (One Way). Each time they said next week. On 10/2 I threatened to file a fraud report on Joes as they were not friendly, or helpful, nor apologetic. On 10/3 I received a UPS notice of delivery for 10/4 and finally received the item. I'll never buy from Joes again. They lied and then they didn't even care to explain what happened...
Reasonable price, shipping took a while, and the upscale price was good, but not great. There was not much communication from vendor, but it was delivered as stated in great shape and was as good as hoped.
My title says it all. Placed an order in August and still no delivery after 2.5 months. Will never order from them again. Dont recommend at all.
By shopping here I was able to save about half of what the same item would have cost from the other retailers. This is not the 1st item I have purchased from Joe's and I have always had a good experience. Easy shopping and quick delivery.
Not too bad for NJ to CA.
After place a order I'm asked to call Joe's and they offer me another tv a new model, more expensive off course, despite long time delivery I didn't receive the HDMI cable that is suposed comes with, disapointed!
It took quite a while to get here after ordered but it was worth waiting for! I asked the delivery guys where the wall mount was, he responded that they didn't have anything else to gove me.
I read the reviews and was a little worried. It did take a few weeks to get my new 82" Samsung TV and we love it. When ever I had to email them they always answered, when it was on the way tracking let me know. I would buy from them again - Len
On the contrary of a lot of people here, everything is taken care of by them any issues that arise they immediately take care of it, returns are no problem exchanges are no problem, they give me credit cash or put it back on my card without any hesitations. I'm a happy customer of Joe's AV
Liars. Promise to send the TV over and over and over and over. Cannot be trusted. Don't understand their business model to advertise and then not deliver?
10/10/17: I Just spoke with "George" to confirm my order that I placed 10/6/17 with my credit card security code. Seeing how they had shipping issues, I clarified shipping time with him and he said it could take up 90 Business days/6 months before I could receive it that is contrary to their website showing that it could take "up to" 10 business days (https://www.joesav.com/help_answer.asp?ID=11#256). I tried to clarify if they had it in stock and he said yes, "in stock" in China, that they were a wholesale buyer and that's why it would take so long to receive it. Oddly, during the time I was talking to him, even in the middle of talking, he would just put me on hold. Price is fantastic and if I find a good price in the meantime, will guarantee that I'll be cancelling my order. Luckily I'm in no rush. We shall see!
Update 11/5/17: Called to cancel my order (found it for more expensive and shipped to me for $3200 but at least they had it - was in Dallas, shipped to Houston). Waited 5 minutes, some guy name "Pier", when I asked him to spell his name, he spelled it out but was about 7-8 letters instead. When I asked him to spell it again, he refused and said that he would e-mail his name to me. Well, I received the order cancellation confirmation but, no name. So, at least, I hope it was truly cancelled but, yeah, definitely a shifty operation. They certainly aim quite low. I wonder if they take your credit card number and sell it overseas. Now I have to be hyper-vigilant about my credit card charges.
I placed an order for a supposedly in stock item. Now more than a month later, the item still hasn't shipped and the prices is $190 less. Every time I call, I get told, we'll tell customer service to call you. They never do - because there isn't any.
Good service, good price. Was able to talk to someone about my order and keep track of the shipping. Shipping was on time as promised and the guys brought the TV in the house unpacked it, plugged it in and made sure it worked.
This type of business used to advertise in the back of photography magazines. They always had the best prices, but when you went to the store you had to stick to your model number and you would be fine.
Joes did not try to bait and switch me at all but it took 5 weeks to get the receiver. So they must not have stock - which is why the price is low. It's a trade-off but I would do it again. I got exactly what I wanted at the price I agreed to.
Started with not receiving product I had ordered from Joes. Submitted a claim for the non-shipped 65" Samsung TV.
After being told my claim would need to be reviewed and would take 6-8 days, I went ahead and posted a negative review about Joe's on their site. Within 30 minutes of posting my review I received a phone call from Joes customer support who had seen my review. The agent was apologetic and would ship the tv out immediately. Well this was my first negative experience with Joe's however my faith was restored after that phone call. I have been a Joe's shopper for the past 4 years and will continue to do so. Thanks Joe's!
All the negative reviews are real.
I went through the same experience. Place an order online, received email to call because of high ticket item. Called three times wasted 45 minutes of my time on hold. Im not righting this review because I have nothing to do but because it might help others avoid horrible companies with horrible customer service.
Their website was very good. Easy to find what I wanted and place the order. They sent many emails stating progress of the order & the monitor was shipped quickly & I received within a few days and it was easy to connect and works fine.
I'm a bit shocked to see some negative reviews here... I've been ordering from Joe's for years (I just looked in my order history and it goes back to 2004). I've built several Electronics such as Tvs, Receivers, Home theaters and more.
I can honestly say I don't remember ever having a real problem... EVER. I have had to contact costumer support a few times and have returned a few items over the years and they have always taken care of me.
Purchased a tv online, they immediately sent an email asking me to call in and verify my order. Called, got put on hold, got hung up on. Called again got left on hold for 1/2 hour. Called again same experience. Sent an email no response. Multiple emails from them asking me to call in, kept getting hung up on. Horrible expierience
I have been an online customer for approximately 3 years. I have always had excellent customer service and have received my items quickly and accurately.
Of course when I found the original Samsung 75" flat panel, new, for $1595 I ordered it. I ended up calling them right after placing the order because I forgot to add extended warranty coverage. I then got the "why buy the Asian model etc" Is this bait and switch or up-selling?, is there a difference? Ultimately I'm glad I spent more and got a much better modern set with the latest HDR upscailing tech for $1930. 00. [for what it's worth the delivery man told me he has seen many problems with Samsung, so glad I ended up with an LG]
THE GOOD: Great TV at best possible price, very reasonable cost on 5 YR inhome warranty. Customer service immediately responds to emails and phone calls.
Absolutely stellar delivery service, the first set arrived with cracked screen with no sign of stress on packaging but driver very patiently helped un box and inspect set, found damage and packed up set and returned it right then. The replacement set was delivered in one week!
THE BAD
Somewhat misleading shipping info, yes the set was shipped within three days, but not to me, probably to their warehouse, then shipped on to me. The first set arrived
Exactly 30 days after initial order, the replacement set 7 days later.
THE UGLY
I didn't discover or read these reviews until after I ordered and paid for the set. The negative reviews scared the s**t out of me and I spent a month twisting in the wind wondering whether anything would be delivered? One of the reviews I read stated essentially what I experienced, great price but it takes a long time to arrive.
But I know there has to be some kind of trade off between, price, service and quick delivery, you usually can't have it all, and ultimately I'm happy with my purchase
Answer: Joe's AV is actually is actually run by the same people who own East Coast TVs in Linden, NJ. If you research East Coast TV's, you'll see they have horrific reviews and really bad customer experiences. Since the company had such a horrible reputation, they registered a new business name with the the state of NJ so they could essentially have a fresh new start. Pretty slick, right? Unfortunately, they deliver on the same awful experience as their previous company name did. Do yourself a favor, stick with the big box stores.
Answer: I was waiting on my order for 3 months and never got it so I called them and cancel my order. These guys don't even have in stock what they show in website. Don't believe them, it's bunch of garbage guys.
Answer: They are fake TV's. Shipped from Asia but for another several hundred dollars they will sell you the real one.
Answer: In 6 months if your lucku
Answer: Because Joe's AV will never send you the TV. They can sell things for whatever price they want. Then when you are sitting there for 2 or 3 months waiting for your TV, you will understand. If you are lucky enough to get these scam artists to send a TV to you at all.
Answer: Too late they filed bankruptcy while ago and closed down both sites (eastcoast completely, joes av half working). Lots of people suppliers, shippers and customers got jacked in that final move. You cant change people like that, except by firing squad.
