I am personally 10, in 4th grade. I have had to use IXL multiple times. I absolutely hate it. I would delete the website with no extra thought. IXL can be extremely hard and unforgiving. Let's say you're at 99.3 questions later, 80. Then this process can repeat a few times. You can probably see my point. If you are a teacher, I would not recommend IXL.

IXL's point system is painful. In the later stages of tasks, when you get a question right your 'smartscore' (which I think is a pretty stupid name. It suggests that your intelligence revolves around this one revolutionary task that you'll forget about in 5 minutes) Increases by 1 or 2, but if you get a question wrong it decreases by 7 or 8, putting you back as much as 8 questions. I hate it. Do not recommend. If your teacher is putting you through this, file a court case for child abuse. I send my prayers.

IXL Is a very unfair and extremely time-wasting app for kids/teens because if they were at, let's say 96 and they get one wrong *BOOM* have fun being at 72 kid and i legit broke about 3 mouses from using the IXL program so I personally don't recommend. Another problem with it is that it will never tell you what went wrong with your answer and will proceed to take almost 17 points from you no matter where you were. I could write a novel on how terrible and raging IXL makes me, but I don't want to waste your time the way IXL does so take it from me guys go burn your device if it has IXL on it.

It is a bad experience and they say "fun math and language arts games with prizes and learning games! It is the perfect resource!" but it is boring and uninteresting, and misleading. And it does not help with tests. Our average grade percentage in my class is 80% but on our tests on IXL was about 65%.

Be better make it more fun please the website is trash if it was a food it'd be in the trash where it belongs

If I could give this a 0 star review I WOULD. IXL Is very very stressful. It is just hurtful and this point. I dont learn anything but depression from IXL anymore. Whenever my teachers assign IXL I have to restrain myself from bursting out into tears. My father is a teacher and he thinks that IXL is absolutely horrible as well. Please, everyone who has had to deal with the utter stress and dismay of IXL, please we need to come together as a people, to shut down IXL.

Ixl do too much it makes u go back so far when u miss one answer and if u at 95 its pushes u back to 83 it make me mad cause i been working on ixl forn 2 hrs they need to be banned or re make this betta when u at 93 it pushes u back to 85 thats just not right

I've used this so many times in math. And the prizes they give out IF you succeed are just Japanese paper folding. What can you do with paper?! Considering that it's a school program is unreal. I cried too many times trying to get a 100, but even if I did, I still wouldn't be motivated to learn. And get this, the challenge zone is just for a sick joke. It basically forces you to use a calculator. And the SmartScore? Horrible, broken, and RIGGED. I could go into the Challenge Zone and get 1 or 2 points earned, but if I get a question wrong I get 10+ points taken off my SmartScore. I think that the people who wrote the good reviews are forced to do this because the program told them to because is it that good? Nope. Read this review I found from a site. It says IXL is an "excellent" practice tool that is best used to "supplement learning". Don't you mean terrible and make kids break their school computers? My advice? Use iReady. It was better than the garbage that is IXL.

The point system is garbge u have 99 points and if u get one wrong ur back to 81 it is so annoying and stressful

THIS CRAPPY WEBSITE ALMOST MADE ME PAY $500 TO FIX MY COMPUTER BECAUSE I HAD 99% AD GOT ONE WRONG AND WENT TO 86%. THIS IS THE WORST EVER. MY MOM IS A MATH TEACHER AND SHE HATES IXL. IXL SHOULD GO BANKRUPT AND NEVER SHOULD OF BEEN A THING!

I guess it is ok, it barely grasps on the learning side tho, yes you learn some that's the entire point of the website but it doesn't grasp on learning on the fun bit it was created for children to have fun while learning and they have overly terrible on that, wouldn't recommend to your child unless they wanna just learn basic things.

I'm a student and my teachers force this website on students and think it's helping. There are so many students that have their grades down to low Fs. If you are a teacher, I would not recommend relying on this website to help students. It has gotten me bawling on my bed while the questions are sitting in front of me and the smart score is totally messed up and has students failing classes. 100% absolutely do not recommend.

I have seen so many children hate this. They say it does not help, it just cements it into their brain and doesn't make a difference. For the districts, you are paying for something kids aren't doing, so why bother? Little origami swans won't motivate children, so why are you giving these awards? They are only good for flexing them, and NO child will do that. This is beyond horrible, to make it fun, you must redo it!

I would give this a 0 but I can't so I give it a 1. This is my worst nightmare and I want it to be over. I hate this so much. This causes so much stress. I've learned nothing from this. I want it to not exist anymore.

All I can say is WOW. This stupid website that I'm forced into using EVERY DAY is the cause of every single second wasted in my lifetime. The precious seconds which I could be spending with my friends and family, or doing something nice for myself. Isn't is just so unfortunate that I'm instead learning to calculate 3+2 in the 5th grade? Don't I deserve to learn something new, just for once? The little amount of time left before my childhood ends is very special, and I simply wish I could be spending it on something better than this worthless site.

Bffr who likes ixl anyway tbh the teachers dont even like it. No one likes it. For real tho why. They created this and thought wow?

I would advise all educators and parents to stay far, far away from IXL. The "curriculum," if you could call it that, is stressful for the kids and has led to self-harm and harm to others before. It is ranked 650th of teacher-helping apps, so if you really need something like IXL to contribute to your teaching effectiveness, there are at least 649 better options overall. It would be in anybody's best interest to not download this app from hell and subjugate your pupils or children to it.
