At first I was second guessing myself with this site due to all the scams that's going on with these other online sites. I eventually ended up ordering a pair of Versace sneakers and when they came I was so hype and pulse my sneakers arrived within two days. I ordered a D&G devotion bag through them. When I opened the box I noticed that all tags were cut off and just placed next to the bag. But Italist tag itself was still attached to the bag. Then I noticed a very strong perfume smell from the dust bag that came with it. Also it was ripped and had stains all over.
I emailed their customer support right away. The answer I got was "Sorry, we'll send you a new dust bag".
I kept asking about the tags being cut off and they said "Our partners ship bags without tags to avoid damaging the leather in transit"... hmm. But Italist tag is ok? It won't damage the leather?
I've never heard about such practice before. As a matter of fact I've reached out to other sellers and all of them confirmed that is not true at all.
I asked them FIVE times how come they require you to have all tags attached in order to return something but its ok for them to send an item without it. They refused to answer. Instead they said they can no longer send me a new dust bag and I need to return everything ASAP. WHAAAT? But I cut the Italist tag off to which they said I can't return it. Soooo they haven't responded to any of my emails from that point on.
And to summarize: I'm 100% sure that the bag is pre-owned. Yes, it doesn't have any signs of wear but it was pre-owned. Which would be ok IF I was shopping for that kind of bag. They sell luxury items and authenticity and customer service should be something they provide on a higher than Zara and Forever21 level. You CAN NOT trust this seller.

I bought a Balmain skirt from the Italist. Unfortunately, it was too small and had to be returned. I followed the directions and sent the skirt with all tags attached, the next day i have received it. In a couple of weeks, I received an e-mail stating that the skirt had a pulled thread and considered to be damaged. As a result of that, italist denied my refund. I am so upset about the situation. Despite the fact that I was responsible for the return costs, about $120, now they want me to pay for the shipping of the item back to me. I would not recommend using italist to anyone. You might end up loosing money because they will try to deny a refund at any cost.

All products are shipped out quickly and are all authentic. Prices are good, doesn't accept AMEX or discover which can sometimes be annoying. Returns cost money which also is a downside for a luxury retailer but for the price it is well worth it. Constantly an influx of new products which is nice also!

I was apprehensive about using this site for the first time considering that they have designer items at discounted prices (I thought it was too good to be true) but I was very much satisfied. A very, very bad shopping experience! I spent a lot of money to bought bag! But by the time I received it, it was damaged! I immediately took the photos and informed them of the service, and they asked me to send the bag back and get a refund! But a few days later, they received the package and didn't agree to a refund! And mandatory for me to buy this bag! The matter is not resolved, They were ready to send me this damaged bag again! They put consumers at all risks, and consumers don't feel safe shopping here!I don't agree with their behavior very much:
1. They never asked the boutique partners why this is the case? Why don't the boutique partners use any collision prevention measures when packing valuables?!
2. They never asked the courier company, never conducted a survey of the courier company!
3. They never carefully checked and sure the photo and information their partners send them is for the bag they bought for me!They don't know determine that the photos sent to check by the partner were taken before the time of shipment to me! Usually in a boutique the same item will have a lot of inventory, They don't make sure that the boutique partner is not cheating!
4. Usually merchants because of a day's shipments are very large, will not give every items to take pictures! They don't check the boutique partner is acting strangely or not!Why take a picture in before shipping? Why don't to deliberately pack this valuable item for collision measurement? Why don't contact couriers and take no responsibility when consumer receive damaged item? And very quickly disagree with refunds? All things they didn't have to determine!
5. They should apologize and refund when Consumers receive a product that was Damaged! If their boutique partners have problems, they should communicate on their own, rather than letting consumers buy damaged goods and take responsibility
