I was excited to get my glam bag by IPSY but dissatisfied with the tiny sizes. My daughters Birch Box was much better. Birch had 3-4 more samples and larger sizes. I'll give them another month and see if this was just a fluke.
We never order anything from this company and they keep sending bags and making unauthorized withdrawals from my checking. Our bank is good at giving us the necessary credit but its a pain in the but to constantly deal with this crap.
I signed up for Ipsy thinking it would be like any other subscription service. You pay and you get your product. NO - They put you on a wait list with no end date. You can skip the wait list if you use every social media platform in the universe to say that you signed up with Ipsy. If you don't then you can go F*** yourself. Once I discovered their messed up business practice I decided to cancel. To get cancel you have to email their "care" team then wait another 2 DAYS. Garbage. Ipsy is garbage.
I love this company. I've never had a makeup subscription and I've gotten 5 bags that I have very satisfied with.
I moved over two months ago and I've been trying to get my address changed and I've emailed several times and I have not received an email back and I do not know where my product is going that I am paying for.
Don't be so rash to think that 10$ a month is going to get you top of the line products that will knock your socks off. I've subscribed to Ipsy now for 7 months and I love it, my mom loves it, and my best friend loves it. You still get your money's worth and I for one like the fact that I get a surprise event month. I don't always get Exactly what I want but that's okay I'll give it to someone who would and press on. I have not heard one negative review in person from anyone I have known to use this site. I think anyone who bashes this site for not getting what they want every time is delusional.
I ordered the bag about a month ago (mid-november) I e-mailed them about the waitlist and they took me off. They answered both times (within 24 hrs) I reached out to them about issues I had, and fixed them. I got two (TWO) full size products in my first bag, (lipstick, Pacifica, and Eyeliner from Be a Bombshell) plus a sample size mascara (I never can finish one so the small size is awesome) and then two sample size skincare things, which I don't need (I've been blessed with AMAZING skin) They ship the bags out in batches, so depending where one is, they will get it at different times of month.
UPDATE
It's now may 10th. Since the initial review, every bag I've gotten has been amazing. In my may bag, which I have not received yet, there Is nothing I do not like, and the value of each bag is insane!
They tie you in with all this bull $#*! about being "personalized," and "you get what you want," but they don't even look at the test you take and see what product you want or don't want. I specifically put that I don't want anything that has to do with lips (lipstick, gloss, liner, etc.) or eyeshadow BUT THATS ALL THEYVE SENT ME. WTH. I've been signed up for four months and I already have accumulated around 6 products just from that category. AND THEYRE USELESS TO ME! They show the other products that you could have received and they show insta pictures from some of the recipients of glam bags and the products that seemed more name brand and expensive never showed up in any of the instagrams. The glam bag is complete bull $#*!
This month bag is the worst of them all. I am tired of getting products that is clearly not worth it. I have becom just a collector of bags. The lipstick shades suck. I have decided I am going to opt out of this mess. See yah on the other side.
I don't understand why people gave such negative reviews, what did you expect? Sure the products aren't full sized, and not all something I would buy, but that's the point! If you're looking for something specific to what you want with full sized samples of well known brands, then no, this is not for you. Just go to the store and buy your own stuff then. The products I got were nice and useful, not any brands that I'm familiar with, but still good. Definitely worth $10. Luckily my bag and products came on time and weren't damaged in any way. I gave 3 stars because it came on time with all 5 products in good shape, but the products weren't that great for me. They do change every month though so maybe next month I'll get some better ones.
Ipsy claims to "personalize" every bag please explain why I get the same things as people with completely different profiles then me, for example I received a blonde eyebrow pencil... I have dark brown hair. (this wasn't the only thing that was incorrect). As well as the horrible service. I had three glam bags get shipped too me almost a month late as well as a few broken products that I emailed them about several times with no replies... I finally cancelled my subscription there is so many other better options out there for monthly beauty bags this is too much trouble to bother with every month.
Very poor customer service. Was charged for a bag that I did not receive. I emailed them 4 times, no response. Tried to use their website to cancel which I could not do, so cancelled credit card. Stay away.
I signed up expecting full size items, but it turned out that they were samples. Not ll were brand name as stated, so that was also a disappointment. I have a hard time paying get for samples you can walk into most major department store, call company on phone or email to get free samples. I'd rather pay a higher price for full size items than same of the same.
Do not get tricked to subscribe. You can NOT cancel if you do not like it. They said "it was in the fine print" that you HAVE to spend 10 for 6 months. They are scam artists using your personal social media contacts stating that you will be taken off the "wait list'. What a crock. I hope they get sued.
"They personalize your bags"
Then tell me why a girl who has a completely different profile have the same items I do.
"Only $10 a month"
Lol, not for Canadians!
"Skip the wait list!"
And then spend the next three weeks wondering if your bag will ever leave Harrisburg NC, sending multiple customer service requests, getting pretty much the same answer.
"Amazing brands"
That you can get at a dollar store, or online for cheap.
I am very very very disappointed with this. They use YouTubers to draw you in, when of course they would never use the products you get in YOUR bag because why would they want to use a 4 dollar lipstick or a tiny sampler of eye primer.
Stay away from this company!
Ipsy is really bad when it comes to delivering your subscription. It took over 2 weeks for them to process and send out my bag from IL to where I live in MN. None of the stuff is really anything of what I would actually use. Don't waste your money.
I received my first bag, and was very disappointed. Small sample sizes and not worth the money I paid. I proceeded to cancel the subscription, and was informed I was still going to receive the rest of the 11 bags!
Which subscription service does that? After ONE MONTH, I am not able to get my money back. Ludicrous service plan.
They are not truly customizing the bag to what you put on your profile. I complained about this by contacting their customer service, and got a generic answer that basically said they cannot really control what goes in your bag. A lot of my bags had cosmetics that I would never buy or use. Not worth the money.
After long few weeks if work. My first ipsy bag was such a nice surprise. I too was on wait list as well but super happy when it came. Now I have a few things to enhance my beauty!
My daughter got me hooked on Ipsy, now I don't know how I did without it, haven't been unhappy with anything I've gotten so far, but November's bag has definitely been my favorite

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped
Answer: We offer email support (help.ipsy.com), but if you'd prefer to call, you can leave a voicemail at (888) 769-4526 and a representative will call you back as soon as possible!
Answer: I want to cancel ipsy but my password doesnt work.
Answer: I don't want to use glam bag anymore can y'all please cancel it for me please. Thanks
Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
