I received an email stating my ipsy was delivered but I have yet to receive it. How do I cancel all together and get me money back?
Ipsy sure does draft my account on time the 1st every month but here it is August 19th and I get an email this morning stating my Ipsy bag SHOULD arrive on August 25th... Really? 25 days after you take my money... seems like it's taking longer each month. I'm done with them and no more referrals either
I was initially very excited with my Ipsy bag(s). Had ordered one but it too so long to come I thought my order hadn't been processed so did another. Again, initially didn't mind. Then started to notice I was getting almost the exact same things over and over. Multiple brushes I never use, all of these too dark bronzers, Lord knows how many black eyeliners and the same color blushes. All things I don't care about and are piling up. The most disappointing part is they rep all of these name brand items... maybe in the past year I've received two of those. The rest are straight leveled "Made in China" or in "PRC"... which is uh... also China. If I wanted Chinese products I could get Multiple full sized at the local Asian mart for much less than $10. Don't sink your business. You had a good model and concept. Don't get cheap now. I'm checking out Birchbox and Meme next. Will cancel these subscriptions if the next bag sucks too.
AND, I forgot but read what someone else said and that part is correct too. For the first 6 months or so, my order was in my mailbox by the 10th... then it started arriving on the 12th or 13th, now it's maybe the 14th to the 15th... yet they still take my money out on the 1st? Why? Was that to impress up front but then after you are no longer a brand new customer, you are moved down the priority list after they realize they've got you? Not sure but they seem to be slipping.
I have used ipsy for about 6 months now. I took the quiz and it seems like they have given me just about every product that I DONT want. I'm sure they just find what is cheapest and give the good products to the beauty bloggers. I emailed and complained (considering that I am paying for these products, I want to make sure I am getting ones I will use) and they responded and told me sorry but we want you to try new things so you will be getting the same products. Not impressed. I will give them one more month and then probably switch over to birchbox.
I've had IPSY for the months of July and August. My July bag was missing an item. I contacted the IPSY support line twice over the span of 2 weeks and didn't hear back.
Then in my August bag I got a highlighter that comes in bronze and pearl, although my profile says I'm very fair skinned I was still sent the, close-to-orange, highlighter.
Contacted IPSY again to no avail.
Canceled my subscription.
I use high end cosmetics on a daily basis... usually i adore my ipsy bag! My Tartiest mascara SUCKED... I use high end cosmetics and LOVE my ipsy bag... this mascara SUCKED...
My daughter and I did it for 2 years but then cancelled and we miss it. So we are signing right back up! Its like Christmas every month! Between the two of us we use at least 1/2 the products. One product at WalMart is at least $8, so even if we use only one product it is worth it. LOVE IT!
I will tell all of you how to cancel. It worked for me. Threaten them with putting bad reviews all over social media and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. They canceled and refunded me my $10 pronto. It works!
I been with ipsy since they started as I have been a Michelle Phan fan for years now. Ipsy is meant to try new things and many of those items may be out of your preferences or comfort zone. The point is to try new products that you may not have used before but actually may come to like. That is the feeling I always got from her videos as well when I started watching them didn't even used to wear makeup and now I am facinated with the art. I also like the fact that at a budget they try as a company to place all different types of items not just makeup. Honestly it's a mix with the glam bags some months you'll get high end products others you may get drug store brands however that's been her style all along she caters to the makeup users that are at a budget as well as those who can splurge. Honestly I enjoy the contrast and many times I'm happy to see that I don't have to shell out 30 bucks for an eyeshadow color that I really like and if I have to buy it again, which I never do because these items are usually full size, that it can cost under 10 dollars. Thank you and in Michelle Phans words good luck!
I have very much enjoyed receiving my ipsy every month. Not always to my profile but most products are high end and fun to try. What i dont use i just give to a girlfriend or one of my daughters.
Ive been a subscriber to Ipsy for 6 mos now and I absolutely LOVE this. Its $10.00 per month which is perfect. I've stopped spending tons at Ulta and Sephora because with Ipsy I get a makeup bag with 5 different sample sizes of products. Which is just enough. These consist of cosmetics, skin care products and sometimes brushes are in the mix.
If you're thinking, Oh, I don't need brushes,
Then when you sign up you will answer a short questionaire profile, don't check off brushes.
I definitely recommend trying them out. It's become my new splurge.
I get items not meant for me based on profile, very disappointed.
At first when I started receiving Ipsy nothing ever came in the bag that matched any of the interest that I had. Then I started receiving the pretty pink envelope completely empty. No bag at all but the never miss charging your account. No customer service phone number to complain to. Total waste of time!
The products are not any brand ever heard of, the quiz they ask you to take does no good, I have gotten several bags and it's always small stuff, cheaply made, and of the same things each time. It's a rip off! Do not fall for it!
They overcharge your account and its extremely difficult to get your money back! First issue I had was I was getting billed twice. They have no phone number which makes it extremely difficult to get in contact with them. When I finally got in contact with them they refused to refund me my money. I didn't want to deal with them so I cancelled my order online. After cancelling they continued sending me bags and charging me. Even though, my account showed as cancel online. I contacted them multiple times always been told that their would cancel my account. After contacting them multiple times, they stop sending my the bags but continue charging my bank account. Finally, I had to file a claim with my bank to stop payment and file a report. If you have a billing issue just go through your bank account and report them. They will just give you the run around and keep charging your card.
Four months so far without transaction problems. They do hit the card a while before they ship. I have had one item missing from a mailer. They use bubble mailers that have self adhesive. The company mailed a replacement. That is good service considering these are inexpensive samples. Not canceling yet as most products are higher quality. I don't participate in the social media they make a big part of earning extra free stuff. The rewards don't tempt me.
Ipsy is terrible. They make you take this no sense quiz and don't send you anything close to your preferences. They also will send you the same products just different brands and different colors. I have no idea hif many times I told them I don't want makeup brushes and they just keep sending them or shades that are no where near my skin tone. They are fast to charge your debit card every month though that's for sure. I have had at least 6 of my friends cancel and I am canceling next. DO NOT GO WITH IPSY you are better of going to the makeup stores and asking for a sample for free.
I was an ipsy member back in late 2014. I got a few bags and realized that they were sending me cheap drugstore BS and I didn't want it. I tried to cancel in January of 2015 but because of their cancellation method, I wasn't really sure if I got it completely cancelled. I'm sure I called and emailed, etc. but never really could get confirmation. I believe they wanted you to fill out a survey and jump through a ton of hoops like a waiting period or something probably illegal. Because I couldn't figure it out, I cancelled my debit card so they wouldn't be able to charge me. I checked for a few months--no charges. Years later, I find out they've been billing my bank account somehow for I'm not sure how long since I cancelled my debit card--I'm 100% sure I never gave them a bank account number. I'm pretty sure it's not even an option when you're signing up.
These people are thieves. You can try to do the right thing and get out of it but they won't let you. I realize I sound like a complete idiot as I thought other reviewers did but these people are horrendous.
Will ipsy contact us if our payment does not go through? I checked last night and on ipsy it said that I would be billed 7/2. So today I go to update my billing under the impression that I'd be billed tomorrow and everything would be all good. But the it shows an updated next billing date of 8/1. So now I'm wondering if I will get July's bag at all. Have they attempted to bill me a day earlier and my payment was declined? Will they try and bill again tomorrow? I have received no email stating any of this. Someone please help!
I was camping and learned my debit card has been charged 29.95 for these glam bags that I didn't buy nor do I know anything about them or have I received any of there products.

Answer: OK well it depends where you live because here in Canada it is $20ish dollars but if you live in the U.S. A then ya it's worth it. The products are really high quality and I havent had any bad products yet. But for me to live in Canada and pay almost $20 dollars, it's kind of pricey. So it really depends on you, where you live and your preferences. Hope this helped

Answer: Rosi, I have been a subscriber for several months. They send samples of many different brands but not Lime Crime. Here are some of the brands: City Color, trestique, NYX, Luxie brushes, Pacifica, star looks, Bella Pierre, Dermelect, be a bombshell, dls, hey honey, Marc Anthony, Eva nyc, MOR hand creme, Clarks botanicals, Avance, epice, belif creme, REN creme, and peek, and Trust Fund. During the ten months I have been a subscriber, I have only received a handful of high end makeup samples: the Balm, tarte, and smashbox. Some people love ipsy, but my experience has shown me that a lot of times they send me products that I don't like or ones that don't match my "beauty profile". So I will probably cancel soon. The products are not counterfeit, though. If I were you, I would not subscribe to ipsy. Hope that helps! -Heather
