I bought a fake bag from a auction house on the Invaluable platform. After having it authenticated I was told it was fake. I contacted the auction house who rudely told me that when you leave the auction house with your items the guarantee/refund is over so I couldn't claim anything. Mind you, I had my item shipped! The auction house then stopped replying and I started reading their reviews ( wish I had done that earlier) where it became obvious more people had bought fake designer items. I contacted invaluable and included my authentication report and the reviews on the website. They took NO action, in fact the auction house is still selling fake items on their platform!

Just got the message from the service:
"Invaluable has restricted access to Invaluable.com and related websites by geography this has been implemented as a company decision and unfortunately the site is no longer accessible from your location."
It's strange - I live in a European Union country and used this service often. Each of my questions are answering from Invaluable by the same text, I gave above.

Scams everywhere
December 27, 2020

Total fakes hiding behind their "terms" which is supposed to sell items as authentic. There only claim to fame is that people who buy on here aren't well versed enough to spot a real from a fake.

Unfair business
November 18, 2020

When you buy through Invaluable Aucrions you have to pay 5% extra fee. It is impossible to find that information on their site. The moment you bid you get a small pop up saying you have to pay this fee. Whether you have to pay 5% of the hammer price or the total costs is not clear either. If you want to ask Invaluable about this you can only talk to a chat bot which does not understand your question. You cannot contact the company at all.
This is sneaky business. Be transparant!
Mention any fees CLEARLY on your site, do not surprise customers like this. If you are a decent company it should be possible to reach you for further questions.

Bid on item, won it but then auction house said was Invaluable error. Underbidder claimed item and still no response from Invaluable several days later. Auction house said it's a common issue with Invaluable and not to use them.

I was sold a fake
October 27, 2020

I purchased an autographed album for a lot of money. It came with what looked like a legitimate COA. I hired a top notch authentication company and they confirmed in writing that my item was a total fake. My emails asking for a refund are only answered with "We're busy and we'll get back to you." But, no one does. Best to just assume they have nothing but garbage and save yourselves the money and stress.

The process is definitely fixed to sell items at a certain price. They sell items that don't match the photo and description. They don't care that the auctioneers are scamming people. They don't help resolve issues with their auctioneers. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM INVALUABLE!

Rip off!
June 25, 2020

Buyers premiums are becoming outrageous! Invaluable is the WORST! 10% over auctions buyers premium, and higher than any other online bidding platform. Past auction results available from other sites will cost you a "subscription" It's not surprising they are the lowest rated auction platform out there.

After three different experiences buying through Invaluable, I can confirm and assure that all three pieces of art are fakes. They sell pieces under the name of the original artist and shield themselves in their terms and conditions, but the truth is that after more than five months writing to the support service, I haven't received any answer.

The three auction houses are still repeatedly selling fakes and are doing nothing to stop it. Invaluable is protecting all these auction houses from fraudulent auctions. And this doesn't mean that all the auction houses that use Invaluable are fraudulent, but a VERY high percentage are. Just do a Google search to find hundreds of results on different pages and videos.

It's a shame, this seriously damages the credibility of the industry. Shame! Stay away from Invaluable if you're looking to buy an original piece.

Attached are two examples of clear counterfeits, sold to me for thousands of dollars under the name of the artists Christopher Wool and Toulouse Lautrec.

The names of the auction houses that sell these fakes are:
- 888 Auction
- Black River Auction
- Art Atelier

I have been ok with Invaluables until today. If I bid at an auction house through Invaluables I knew I would pay an increased premium Then, Invaluables went to BID PARITY. This means it is the same premium you pay if you were on the auction floor. This was acceptable. NOW... invaluables. Com is charging for accounts. So, they have now come full circle to the buyer paying the bid price, the auction premium AND a fee to have an account. Today, I was asked to select an account type. ALL choices included "pay for play"! I have bid on their site numerous times. NOW THEY WANT TO CHARGE TOO? A buyer pays the bid; pays the shipping, pays the tax, and now pays invaluable.com for the privilege of bidding on their site. As a result, your bid price can be doubled by the time invaluables.com is finished with you. I recommend every buyer and auctioneer boycott invaluable.com. It is simply too expensive to pay all the fees! I haven't seen liveauctioneers.com do this yet but they would be wise to stay clear of charging for accounts for buyers.

Invaluable is a platform for almost any type of auction.

It is crooked, allows crooked auction houses to operate and could care less if one of its auction houses lies about the items presented, takes money without sending the items, turns a blind eye to complaints, etc., etc., etc.

Invaluable is a crooked organization and many of its auction houses are the same. BUYERS BEWARE!

I purchased an expensive historical poster, advertised as framed under glass, received poster in a tube. Dealer refused to compensate to have framed. Eventually offered to sell the metal frame without glass (located in another country) and send proceeds.

Invaluable was slow to contact dealer when I contacted them to complain, in fact hard to get them to response to my initial emails. After they did, all Invaluable would do is communicate to the dealer that I was not satisfied and ask them to resolve. Despite numerous requests, they refused to tell dealer that future use of Invaluable website would cease if dealer did not rectify the problem. Without any leverage, no surprise that a dishonest dealer would offer an inadequate, bad faith remedy.

I will not use this website again. There are plenty of alternatives for on line purchases of art, jewelry, historical memorabilia. There is no dispute of the facts about the case.
