Somehow I got signed up for recurring membership with Instacart to the tune of $104.94 a year. I used this outrageously expensive service a few times during Covid, but I never wanted membership. Today I saw the charge to my credit card and called Instacart to cancel the membership and receive a refund. Not only were their off-shore calling center employees rude, they refused to refund my money for a service I don't use. They should be run out of business. Don't use them.
I've been a loyal customer for approximately 2 years. Recently upon placement of an order, my order was immediately cancelled. I then realized I had been locked out of my account. When I contacted their customer service, they told me my account was locked pending an "investigation." The customer service representative sent an email with instructions to verify my account and said I will be contacted in 24-48 hours. I immediately responded with the required info. This was three days ago. I've contacted costumer service multiple times with no positive results. To this day I've received no status or explanation to why my account was abruptly closed.
A shopper messaged me and said that they was having issues with the app! Shortly after they charged my card way more than was said and my food never arrived. I am seeking a legal team because they don't want to refund my money like they said they will do. Be aware of this shopper if you choose to use this service. I know I will not ever again
I used to really like Instacart, but their system has become so secure that it's constantly fraud alerting all of my credit cards and restricting purchases. I called my bank, and the bank said that the problem is with Instacart - not the bank! The system says to "add a new card." After adding several cards that all are fraud alerted, and after hours of calling banks, it is not the banks! It is a new glitch in Instacart. I've given up trying to buy anything. And, there is no customer service - just email! So, no help at all. And, they don't let you cancel even when their system doesn't work, so you've basically paid them for a crappy service that doesn't work with no chance for a refund. Worse yet, they have all my credit card numbers! Do not use!
They just stealing your money
Scamming you of hundreds of dollars and they will shut down your account if you do any reclamation
Then you just struggle getting the customer service based in India who tell you you going to get a feedback from the proper team in the next 48h

I had 5 fraudulant charges on my credit card account today and all Instacart cared to do was tell me to submit a complaint and someone would reach out to me via email. I'm not holding my breath
Today I signed up for a 14-day free trial for FREE delivery. I needed some cat food from PetSmart and didn't feel like going out. After selecting my items and checking out, delivery was NOT free. The "active" order page showed the delivery fee crossed out, with $0 delivery. But at checkout, I was charged a delivery and service fee. Also, please beware of the fine print that states you will be charged a reoccurring $99 membership fee! I was thankful that I caught the deception before giving any payment information. Last, they don't make it easy to cancel your account. Their site states that it takes 30-days, but is vague on the process. I found a CS number on Google, *******822. The CSR said I'd receive an email in 20-minutes with instructions. Of course I am still waiting for it. With all the bad reviews written online about this company I can't help but wonder how they stay in business!
These so called human beings take advantage of vulnerable people. Evil would be too kind of a word to describe these deeply spiritually ugly snakes. They have absolutely no fear of God. They go around doing their dirty deeds,lying to people,stealing from people,hurting people and they laugh to themselves because they actually think that they are going to get away with it. But I'm the one laughing the loudest. Because I know that there is no hope for people like that. These kind of people do not change. They blame God because there is a Hell,But what these people fail to realise is that God does not put people in Hell. People CHOOSE to go to Hell all on their own ;) Good-Bye Instacart! Free At Last! Received an email 2:50 AM asking me to set up an account password. Called the number listed. USELESS people with heavy accents. Gave them my full name. But they need more information. For example, my email address which they must have since they emailed me! I never set up an account with these people.
Forget instacart! Forget publix! All they do is screw-up! They make no effort whatsoever to correct the mistakes! It is absolutely infuriating since this is their business! So much for their "promises" to make it right! WRONG!
I get a request, around 8:00pm I run to the store and start shopping it over an hour and a half to do 70% of the list and then customer canceled. To put it in perspective I would have made $5 an hour at best. You should be ashamed of yourself.disgusting
Today was my last Instacart Order! I have used the service for years because of my health issues and now taking care of another. It helped me out sometimes when I could not go myself. With that being said I have had it. I had a super slow shopper today shopping more than one order. Needless to say it took an hour for her to start shopping my items. Then my order arrived an hour and a hlef late. Gerald from chat did not care and did nothing to help me at all. Then hung up on me. And no I was not abusive or rude to him just so you know. So I happy to free to spend less money on groceries instead of paying the highly inflated Instacart grocery prices. Then you have the added on taxes and fees and tipping the shopper. So congrats to my shopper for loosing Instacart my business. I have spend hundredes of dollars with them but like most comapnies they don't care about you. Treat your customers right!
Pure cheaters, I paid more and I got less quantity. When I raised this with customer support, they didn't even bother to listen. Rotten fruits and less quantity than what I was charged. Receipt- 3 lb mandarin, I received 2 lb mandarins, carrot - paid for 1 lb received 16oz
I was charged a different amount from the original billing.When I questioned thieir ethics,they lied and said,part of the charges are for the company.I was charged for having someone to pick up my case of water.I will not use Insta Cart ever again.
This business is treating customers like they are one of a kind and no one else offers the same type of services. I've been an Instacart+ member since 2021. At first, I enjoyed the app but it was until I started reporting issues with orders which weren't my fault (missing, spoiled or incorrect items). After a couple of issues, they restricted my account so I wasn't able to get a credit on the app and had to email Orderappeals each time I have issues along with order info/pictures. It was annoying but I didn't mind going through an extra step as long as I get a refund (usually I'd ask for credit since I used the app each week). But starting on March 24th they refuse my refunds (from 3 separate orders). I called customer service but was told that the only place that can issue refunds is the Orderappeals email. But no one reads my emails and I keeps sending me automated emails stating that: "I'm sorry you weren't satisfied with your recent order. We reviewed your request and can't issue a refund, credit, or redelivery on this order. Your account remains active and you can still shop on Instacart." (So I can shop, but can't get help if I have issues with my orders, nice!). I sent them picture proofs yet they declined my requests and kept my money for wrong/missing/spoiled items. They are scamming customers! (you can tell from my account history that I only submitted tickets for legitimate reasons and always included pictures with proof).
I sent my complaint to BBB and they responded me via email saying: thank you for contacting BBB but we can't issue a refund (same automated message).
So long story short, my account was blocked when I tried to pay for my order on Costco, and I just waited 9 days before getting it back. I've sent my I.D. and my credit card 3 times! Today, I got my account "back" but needed to verify it, which I tried to do, but it never brought me to the good page to do it. So I called again, but they told me that I needed to go through the same process I just went through and send my I.D. and credit card in the trust and safety form, and I'm supposed to receive an answer in 24 hours (Its never 24 hours, more 3-4 days).
I placed an order for expedited delivery at 4pm, due to my house by 6pm. I was having unexpected guests coming for dinner, and thought I'd save some time by having my groceries delivered so that I'd be able to start cooking before their arrival. At 6:30, I messaged the driver asking him if he'd be much longer, assuming the store was overcrowded or something. He informed me that he had rejected the order and was not completing it at all. I assumed this meant the order was cancelled. About an hour later, while my guests and I were choosing takeout, I was messaged by another shopper that she was starting the order. We decided to wait and I'd make the meal I had planned on instead of ordering takeout. When I received the order at 8pm, it was missing the main item needed for the meal- chicken. I expected a refund on most of my order based on the 2 hour delay and missing the chicken (which was on my receipt). The best they would do is refund the chicken and give me a $5 credit to my account. Considering I had to pay for 2 meals that evening because of THEIR mistake, I believe that $5 is simply unacceptable and terrible customer service. It barely covered the tax on the order, which included the chicken in the total cost. I've cancelled my account, and am reviewing on every possible platform. I've also shared my experience with anyone who I know uses Instacart, and they will be using other grocery services as well. A $5 credit is insulting, considering the 2 hour delay and missing item which led me to pay 2x for dinner that night, and not eating until 9pm because of their mistake.
I did my order wait for two hours and no body show, I call and said the order was canceled. She replaced my order and two hours later we did not received anything. I called again and they said sorry.
My order from Kroger was stolen and never delivered they couldn't contact the driver after she was supposed to deliver. What a shame
Answer: Instacart does not give you the sale prices from the store. So if the peanut butter is 3.50 on sale. Instacart will charge you 4.80 regular price. Their prices are all over the board but on average you are paying 20% more.
Answer: You can't! The only way I got a response from them was when they emailed me to rate my driver and I gave a bad review for her and Instacart. I got an email back. Otherwise, there is no Customer Service! I tried everything under the "Help" section and got nowhere!
Answer: Seriously? They have already scientifically proven that is not spread that way. How many strangers & kids and semi drivers and warehouse people touch your stuff before it even leaves the store.
Answer: No, they don't by policy. But I've found they don't deliver anything else either. Last two orders were cancelled. I dumped my account and told them to keep the gift card balance. Done with InstaCart.
