I've been using Indeed and have hired many applicants. Then all of a sudden my account was disabled. You have to jump through hoops to change your wording and stringent guidelines. I'm baffled at this.
I have just started my small firm and i was getting good response from indeed but suddenly my account got disable without any specific reason, i am very disappointed as i have made a good database there for hiring, now i am unable to access it all.
Hi there, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I am a HR Business partner of leading software development company. As we have vacancies in our company i have posted a job from my company i'd but few days later my company indeed account has been disabled. I dont know why its happening i tried with multiple Account for job posting but these indeed people blocking my indeed account and saying that "Your ability to post jobs on Indeed has been disabled.
One or more of the jobs you posted on Indeed was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. You will not be able to post any jobs directly on Indeed". Please resolve my problem and inform me what mistake i have done in posting the add in indeed. Without any verification you people cant block any id without any intimation. I RECOMMEND TO USE NAUKRI.COM INSTEAD OF USING INDEED. YOU SERVICE IS VERY POOR FOR EMPLOYERS TO POST JOB ADD OR FIND RESUMES.
Hi Naveen, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. All Indeed accounts do go through a standard review process. We have private messaged you so we can look into the status of your account further for you. Please feel free to follow up with us there.
This is a company that charges huge sums for advertising. The same place that advertises your opening reviews your job from the disgruntled ex employee standpoint. The website is similar to a blog that any body can chat about. There are no credential that they follow.
We recently had a candidate schedule an interview that she immediately left after getting our email. Turns out she wanted to reach out to us via email to sell her products. No interest in the job just out email. There is no security. Sad part is there are no good competitors.
Hi Jim, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Indeed is a self-serve website where you're able to choose your own job budget. We work on a cost-per-click model and the higher the budget you choose the closer to page one you get. In regards to company page reviews, Indeed removes reviews that do not align with our guidelines. We have an entire team dedicated to the moderation process of this. Any reviews that are not removed, employers have the option to respond publicly as the company. You can review our company page review guidelines here http://www.indeed.com/cmp/_r/content-guidelines.
We have been hiring through indeed for over 2 years as paid user. Suddenly, we have received an email saying
"One or more of the jobs you posted to Indeed.com was deemed not consistent with Indeed's quality standards. At this time your employer account has been disabled and you will not be able to post any additional jobs to Indeed.com."
And our account was disabled.
I wonder why our account can be disabled with no concrete reason. We have been posting the same job ad for the last 2 years... This is going to come up as an issue today?!
I wonder what is does indeed mean by "not consistent with Indeed's quality standards", but one thing we can now be sure, indeed's service is not consistent enough for business purpose.

I questioned the terms of service contract I had to agree too. (Section 9c). This is the email I received back from my sales rep:
You're not in any binding contract! This is the slides that we have to pitch and I have
Never had a client sign this and ever pay more. If it is more than 10% on the initial hire then you can have this email
And pitch slideshow showing what you were told... If you need more than that, there is nothing that I can do. I don't
Do business this way and I wouldn't be working for a company that didn't have principles and honor what we say!
Hi Vicki, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We would like to learn more about this situation and we have sent you a private message. We look forward to hearing from you.
We've been running stuff on indeed for about a year now, maybe just over. I had two admin/data entry guys handle posting requisitions in the past and ran into some issues and we've transitioned from a free account to a paid account. Budgeting has been intuitive and effective, but the account's been disabled! We've put a couple hundred dollars into the account in the past 2 days so this is a major disappointment.
When we book interviews and make hires this week we need to close these down but I can't even do that with my current account status. Looking at a major hitch in our plan for the week, still waiting for support.
Indeed's great but it's clear that posting here gets results... Hoping for a resolution!

Yes this happened, and with no justification.Im hoping to get some sort of explanation, or something to work with as i am right now hiring
Have been using the site (and paying) for 2 years and just got an email that our account is disabled.

I work in an industry that has high turnover- despite this, my company is now worth over 150M and with its recent acquisition of another business in a different state- over 200M- which I notified Indeed about! We have spent over 300k in advertising with them for 4 years and they disabled our account without notice or warning! This is appalling, unprofessional, and outright ridiculous.

I recently used this site to try to look for work but they have made so many changes to the platform that I don't think I will be using it. I feel like every post I see on there is sponsored.
We had indeed Profile account for posting jobs, we paid to use the premium features, suddenly they have deactivated the account with no prior notice or mentioning the reasons of the deactivation.
We have tried reaching them in many ways, but they have never responded nor refunded the amount we paid for.
It's so unprofessional from a very well-known company to deal with their customers in such away. There was not any kind of professional curtsy to even give us the reasons for the deactivation, keeping in mind that we followed their terms and conditions.
If such a big brand name (Indeed) deals with their customers in this way, then how as a customer we should feel.
This is so unprofessional.
Hi Haitham, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I am absolutely appalled that Indeed controls what reviews people see on Company pages. We are a small company working in an industry which has a notoriously high turn-over rate. We are also based in a city that is predominantly African-American. We have reviews posted on our company page comparing us to "plantations" "overseer" and insinuating people are worked like slaves (the company owner is white). I requested the review to be removed, which I had to appeal... and was denied a second time as it does not violate Indeed's review guidelines. So it's ok for OUR business to suffer, and for my work colleagues and I to be labeled slave-drivers... but as long as it does not violate their review guidelines?! I am beyond angry. I have other complaints, but will save that for another day... oh, and another review!

Tried many other places like LinkedIn, Glassdoor + even posting on Craigslist. Get the most candidates and best qualified candidates. It work well. Only glitch is you have to always communicate via Indeed masked email account even at the very final stages of process, these emails sometimes go to spam, which is frustrating.
I have been using Indeed for the last 3 weeks, as I am a recruiter with a small recruitment business. I have 2 active recruitment campaigns, have several candidates in progress for roles, write extremely professional job ads with NO discriminatory restrictions. These roles are clearly stated as permanent, full time positions. And yet, I just received an email advising that my account has been disabled. No reason, no example, just disabled. ALL candidate information has been removed, I have no access to active candidates in the process of being interviewed. THIS IS EXTORTIONATE. I am appalled. I will now move to another service, happily PAY for the service knowing it MUST be better than this disgusting experience.
UPDATE: 29/9/19. After providing a volume of paperwork to verify my ownership of and relationship to my business, my account was reinstated. Then, after re-writing the header to better meet Indeed's guidelines, my job posting was re-instated. I maintain the approach to disable without prior warning or communication is poor client engagement and detrimental to business, however Indeed were quick to re-instate on provision of requisite documentation.
Hi Tova, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I am truly disappointed from an Employer standpoint of their process. I religiously make comments on applicants that are never reviewed or ignored by Indeed. Employers are paying the bills, yet Indeed continues to allow applicants over and over again apply to my Agency after being rejected costing me $$ every time! I have spoken to my rep on numerous occasions and have asked them to either police my comments/feedback as the Employer or even charge 50 cents for each applicant to apply which I would hope would make the applicants more mindful of what jobs they are applying to. I am ignored. I spend in excess of $1,000 per month and continue to see the same applicants that no call/no showed to interviews, were rejected due to lack of experience, etc. I continue to pay for these over and over again!
Hi Christian, we are very sorry to hear about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I used indeed for several of my companies for about 7 years. I've spent tens of thousands per year with them.
And then without consultation they shut down two of my company accounts because "a job seeker complained" - who is/are clearly disgruntled, dismissed staff.
As you'll see below, this sort of thing happens to lots of employers.
They don't consult with the employer beforehand to verify their decision, have no appeals process and don't tell you anything about the complaint and thus give you no mechanism to fix their mistake.
Do not link your recruitment strategy to them. They will disrupt and harm your business
Hi Paul, our team has concluded that we will not be able to show your openings. If you have urgent hiring needs, feel free to utilize other hiring services!
I am a contractor searching for competent building maintenance fields. Indeed stole $500.00 from my acct.in less than two weeks thinking it's ok to send me candidates from the fishing industry, or cooks. When confronted a * said he will look into this and get back to me, to date I heard from no one in 2 weeks. I guess we can kiss that money goodbye. There are predatory practices going on with this Indeed company. My advice is to look elsewhere until we can close their doors forever.

Hi Allen, we are sorry to learn about your poor experience with Indeed. We have sent you a private message to further assist.
I have been keep promoting Indeed website to my friend as I have great and capable candidates from Indeed. I didnt log in for certain period and what surprising me is that they just disabled my account without any prior notice!
I am really sad over this issue and I think I am not the only person experiencing these... Really very improper of such move and you are not respecting your customer at all!

I have been reading many reviews online regarding accounts being disabled on indeed. My account was disabled for no reason and We have a registered business with paperwork.
Some cases say because employers post for free hence why their accounts are disabled. At this point I'm not ready to sponsor a job I want to use this service for sometime before I decide to use paid subscription.
All I want to know is what are the guidelines I need to post a job successfully on indeed and that my account will stay.
Please can someone assist me on how to proceed from here.
Thank you and awaiting your swift response.
Jonathan

Answer: Hello Anita, positions posted for free stay on Indeed for a total of 120 days. Sponsored positions can stay on the site until an employer has filled the job and closed it on Indeed.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Answer: Hi Irene, to explain, all accounts on Indeed go through a moderation process as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for. We must also ensure that our quality guidelines are met. If enough information is not provided when the account is being created or we find a violation of our guidelines, then the account will go into the appeal status. Based on your message, this is likely what you are currently experiencing. If you need assistance, feel free to email our team at [email protected] and we'd be happy to take a look.
