Recently made an account for my new fabrication shop and posted 3 ads for hiring Metal Fabricators, Welders and skilled laborers for my shop opening up at the end of the month. I have a great deal of work to get done in a short amount of time and am in urgent need of hiring. Indeed is the #1 place to go for hiring in my city and there is not much for alternatives. I see so many other reviews like and am deeply troubled by this issue... hoping for a quick resolution and a chance to speak to someone that can show some empathy for myself, our applicants, and would be employees... HELP
Indeed did respond to my request for appeal but is asking for documents that at this time can't be provided, My shop is currently in the renovation phase and there are no utility bills to be had, and tax permits are not a thing in Canada
I'm a new business and had my account for a little bit over 24hrs, I went to check if my post was reviewed but my account was disabled. I've posted three jobs on there before this happened without a problem, as soon as I tried to post more on the platform with the same post but different area's my account was disabled. This is a terrible platform as it does not contact you if they need any information in regards to the account, but disabled it without reason or hesitation. I read over there terms and I did not violate any of them so this is a complete worthless platform!
Hi Jumial, we are very sorry to hear that you feel this way. To explain, we have an extensive moderation process on Indeed that is designed to protect our job seekers and employers, all accounts are subject to this process. Occasionally we require more details on a company before we can allow their job postings to appear on Indeed. I can see that you have already submitted an appeal and a member of our Quality team has responded to you by email to outline the details we need to proceed. Please follow up there for assistance with this.
This has been several weeks that we asked for a deletion of our company account from the website indeed.com and it is not done despite several reminders.
Our company is sensea nordic spa.
The information on this website is impacting our business activities and lower our chances our recruitment because of the false and bashing information it carries. We have started to estimate the financial impact for us for every day they delay the deletion of our account.
UPDATE
Indeed tried to reach us, but never replied to our emails. They just mention this in the review to give the impression that they take care of the problem but they actually dont.
If you are an employer, stay away - I mean very far away - from Indeed, you have tons of alternatives to publish your ads (social media, kijiji, linked in...) and they worked very well for us and are respective of trademark and consumer rights, unlike Indeed.
Hi Christophe. We have reached out via private message, please reply back when you can so that we can look into this further. Thank you!
Indeed suspended my employer account and won't let me post any positions. I am a recruiter who helps other companies post and fill positions. I also spend a monthly fee for resume searches. They suspended my account with no warning and of course I can't reach anybody to either discuss this or try to remedy the situation. I am helping a company fill entry level positions and yet they do this with no notice. They are willing to take my monthly fee though. I am so dissatisfied with their customer service and their lack of actually working for small businesses.
Hi Latha, all accounts and jobs go through our standard reviewing process before they can become fully active on our site. This review can happen to accounts that were previously active as well. We take the security of our job seekers very seriously, this review is designed to protect our job seekers and employers and ensure a high level of quality in our search results. That is what you encountered and at this time, we can confirm your account is active, we do apologize for any inconvenience.
I am a small business owner that has a group therapy private practice using Indeed to hire new clinicians with. My account was active, then hours later my account was disabled for no reason at all. I was not given an explanation or any additional information. Really disappointed that indeed would prevent mental health business services during a mental health crisis because of the pandemic.
EDIT: Indeed replied that they are working on my appeal but i'm back to edit the comment to let everyone know Indeed is lying. They responded with "It appears that your request may require specialized attention and our Client Success team can better assist you. Please view our Help Center for further assistance with this issue." They provided no assistance, no call back number, and told me to purchase insurance for my company, and then when I did, they told me they won't accept it. Indeed owes me money and an explanation... This is straight theft!
Hi Brittany. We are sorry to hear that this was your experience. This appears to be in relation to Indeed's appeal process. All Indeed accounts are reviewed as we must verify the connection between the account creator and the company they are hiring for to protect the job seeker as well as the employer. We are happy to go into more detail and to better assist you directly, so we have reached out to you directly via private message. We look forward to hearing from you!
We are a newly opened bar and grill trying to hire staff and Indeed suspended my employer profile with no warning or explanation whatsoever. This seems to be a common occurrence for Indeed as this is not the first review that reflects these practices. Why is Indeed bullying small businesses? Must be the $$ they get from corporate restaurants for premium job postings that they give them "a little extra" by suppressing the little guys. What a pitiful service
Hello Anthony, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message.
Hi,
This is vishal here, i am recruiter and hiring US candidates for our Government and Private Clients in USA. Since last month indeed has your team has disabled my account. I have talked to one of your executive they won't help me instead of helping me they have disabled my account forever. I'm still looking for more support from indeed team.
Hi Vishal, thank you for taking the time to leave Indeed a review. All accounts on Indeed go through a standard reviewing process. This review can happen at any time as well. Unfortunately, Indeed has fully reviewed your account and we are unable to show your listings on the site and the account will remain in its disabled status. Indeed or Publishers may reject or remove any Job Ad, and Indeed may disable any Employer’s account, for any or no reason without notice. Although Indeed may indicate why a job or account has been removed or disabled, we cannot give every reason why a job or a company may be removed, and we always retain the right to remove any job, organic or sponsored, if we feel it is in our interest or our users’ interest. This is a final decision that will not be reversed. If you have urgent hiring needs, we recommend utilizing other hiring services. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.
STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND. My account was disabled because it supposedly violated a posting guideline however the posting was not even finalized, it was still a draft. Also the email included no feedback whatsoever. I did not see anything inappropriate on the posting. IF there was, please advise so I can fix it. Don't just delete my account with no feedback... I am a new customer that is trying to spend money on your site.
Hi there! We sincerely apologize for the poor experience you encountered with Indeed. We have reached out to you via private message to further assist. We look forward to hearing back from you to help reach a resolution.
Indeed is not a site where you would want to go to advertise your job openings!
We are new, small recruiting agency, just starting after the covid period with hopes of going back to work. However, after couple of hours spent filling up the details on indeed.com for our job openings, and adding the payment details, our account was disabled! No reason given, just a cold shoulder!
We've appealed but again no explanation, only automated reply! We've received automated rejection on appeal few minutes after appealing! Also, looking through the reviews of other people in here we can see their replies are same for everyone. So, we are sure, no human reviewed our job posting, no time given, no explanation!
Maybe we were rejected because we didn't take their suggestion on daily payments for our job post, but instead we've reduced it to what is affordable for us. If that is the case indeed.com is a money grabbing site not interested in your business.
Indeed should be 0 stars!
Hi Anthony! We have reached out via a private message, please respond back there at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
Long story short, I contact Indeed's client success team for about six times now and I still have my account disabled. Our company is having a very rough time due to our main method of hiring is through Indeed and our account has been active on Indeed and has been paying advertisement fees on Indeed for over 2 years now. This just shows how this company treats its most loyal customers, I really hope there is some competition within this industry because I would switch to another website in a heartbeat if there was something equivalent to Indeed. Basically, my account got disabled because in my job posting there was a component where I wrote the ideal applicant would be a current student because we are a tutoring company. I did not realize this was actually age discriminatory and I would be more than happy to change that component of our job advertisement. However, Indeed concluded that my company was not fit for their site and decided to permanently disable my account. What is even worse is that I called the client success team over six times and every time I called them they said it is a minor adjustment and asked me to just re-appeal and they would enable my account. I have wasted a tremendous amount of time trying to fix this issue but Indeed's client support is just too horrible and incompetent to solve this minor misunderstanding. My Indeed account is over two years old and we have spent over three thousand dollars on their website advertising our job posting.
Hi Kevin, thank you for reaching out to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you and your business. Please review the private message we sent and let us know if we can further assist.
I work for a small company and I posted jobs on Indeed. Everything went okay for the first weeks. But when my free job post gathered a lot of applications, they shut down my account. Too sad that I couldn't let the applicants know what happened. For sure they thought my company just stopped hiring or I just left them with no feedback about the status of their applications.

We are a start up and without prior warning Indeed blocked us. We have been spending a lot on Indeed for 5 years and suddenly when we decided to cut back our spend during covid, Indeed decided to block us. The rep was not even responsive. We weren't even given a chance to take back the jobs posted. Indeed was sending us invoices after blocking the account. The way this company is handling this situation is unprofessional and not fair. I wish I had the time to take legal actions.
Hello Priya, thank you for reaching out. A member of our team has responded to your review by private message. Feel free to follow up with us there.
As many MANY people, my account was suspended without giving me any explanation or feedback, so I tried creating another account, but same result. This is none sense, we are trying to hire for a legitimate position, we are a legitimate company, with a website, physical address, we are real, and we're getting suspended. The craziest thing? Well, we have 3 offices in the city but this new one is the only one having issues with indeed

I just signed up with Indeed yesterday. I just now attempted to modify my job post and they disabled and locked my account! Completely unprofessional and amateur. Oh, and there is no way to contact them.
All the previous reviews are true. Don't waste your time with Indeed.
Here's all the complaints filed on the BBB site: https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/austin/profile/job-listing-service/indeed-**************/complaints
Indeed disabled my account after about a week and two job openings posted with no reason as to why.
We are a small business operating in healthcare, our website was provided to identify ourselves and we still got disabled. I'd say it is the worst service and the worst job posting website I've encountered in my management career. They should just close now.

Indeed suddenly disabled my account. I tried to find out why. And I absolutely have no idea. My start up company is Value Sports Academy and I really need this to work! I don't mind paying, but at least give an easy way of explaining how it all works. I used to saw candidates appearing, now I can't do anything. Disappointing!
We are a global business and changing the recruitment industry. Our business supports small recruitment agencies around the world, with the help of many fantastic companies. Small, and large Fortune 500 businesses using our service. We had advertisements running on Indeed to find recruiters who are willing to join our amazing movement. In 4 weeks time 1400 people reacted and already 500 making a living of that what we do. And then? Indeed closed our account, no reason given. Just with the single line. Your business is not suitable for us. Big tech on its best!
Update > Indeed responded with a standart template (as always). Well, I am happy to say that Indeed is not suitable for OUR business.

We are a small Business owner operator and trying to hires couple of people for my Kitchen staff.
Somehow indeed decided to suspend our account without any further explanation! This is completely unfair.
As a small business owner, especially in this pandemic we are struggling to hire people indeed decided to disable my account without any explanation.

So please guide how to enable job posting services.
We are eagerly waiting your reply.

We are looking to hire some new potential employees, much like the rest of employers around the country, and without any explanation, our account was disabled and our job posting was taken down. I haven't heard anything back in regards to why, and after reading the other reviews of businesses, I see that we are not alone in this issue.

Answer: Hello Gerard, sorry for the negative experience. Indeed recently augmented existing search quality programs with new, ongoing strategies to make sure all jobs on Indeed meet standards for quality. This effort included a large scale review of job listings. Jobs that violated our guidelines and companies that did not meet our quality standards were disabled. We apologize that this was a frustrating process for you and will provide this feedback to our Search Quality team for future improvements.
Answer: By NO MEANS should you pursue this so-called job offer further and in fact, you should report them to the Better Business Bureau.
