I had old 8mm tapes from 20 years ago. Had some converted to dvd years ago but even now that is almost obsolete. Sent them all in to iMemories and was so happy I did. I can access all the old videos in my phone or the website. I also downloaded them on an external hard drive, which the company helped me to navigate the process! Can't wait to give them to my kids for Christmas!
I like the way things were shipped and handled. I liked the fast turnaround on the 67 vhs and other more recent formats. Since I transferred format to format myself over the years, from 8mm to VHS to video 8 and dvd, the quality of my work was a lot clearer than iMemories transfer. I would think the new equipment of today, would do a fine job of reproduction. I was disappointed to find large pieces of film missing. A couple of things we know where on the tapes were not there on the transfer. 3 stars only.
I love this service. They really did a great job with the videos of my children from the 80's. I am now going through other videos.
The quality of the converted slides and movies was outstanding--even movies that were made in the 1930s.
I have Sent many VHS tapes as well as 8mm films from the 50's to be created and placed in the cloud. This company has permitted us to view the toddler years and beyond of our children, in great quality and easy to view formatting. Also, with the films from the 59's my children get to see relatives they have never met and to view what my childhood was like. Both my parents have passed and to see and hear them again, brings tears of joy! Would recommend ( and have) this company to anyone!
There were some duplicate videos on vhs and both were transferred and I was charged twice. Also you could've skipped doing the dvds and told me I could just upload them.
I'd like to know what happens when iMemories cloud expires...
It was a great experience! The process was made unbelievably easy by iMemories' easy to use shipping container. Our old family videos were promptly uploaded on to iCloud, and being able to watch them has been wonderful. I recommend iMemories to everyone to preserve their family video memories for generations to come. Thank you iMemories.
I have been holding on to these 8mm reels for 30 plus years. It is wonderful to finally see what's on them. My departed father and grandparents are featured in most of them.
I am beyond pleased with the results. This started off as a project that my dad and I were doing. IMemories took the stress off of us by converting all the videos and 8mms we had. In the midst of all of the converting, my father passed away unexpectedly. Receiving the finished digital conversions has mattered more than ever now because I have access to all these in the palm of my hand. And through these I get to see my dad as I want to remember him and all our wonderful memories come to life. Plus it was simple, priced right, convenient, and I'm able to share these with others. And I'm so glad my dad and I started this together and I was able to finish it. I definitely would recommend iMemories to everyone. Video conversion was convenient and professional. Quality was as good as could be expected as they converted 27-year-old VHS videos and a couple that were 33+ years old. I looked into doing this myself, but I am fairly pleased with the results iMemeories provided. A little pricey, but what isn't these days?

My experience with imemories has been very positive. I love being able to see my father's old reel to reel films and slides on my devices. I love being able to share them with family and friends. It's very easy to use and customer is excellent.

I discovered some 8 mm rolls of film and old negatives from the 1940s and 50s that were incredible to view, as most of these folks have now passed on. It is amazing to see my grandparents as well! Thank you for giving me such precious memories.

I have sent them back because the 16mm films were not correctly digitized. In most of them, the top half of the frame was cut off. I will review again after they are fixed, if they are fixed.
