I waited a long time to do this, considered several companies, and I'm so glad I chose iMemories to care for my precious old VHS and Hi8 movies. It's wonderful to be able to see them so conveniently; some for the first time! Seeing my parents, brother and sister who are deceased, as well as my now-grown daughters as babies is so moving and special. The packaging, care and communication are top-notch, and if you're on the fence about using this company, go ahead and jump. I can't say enough good things about iMemories! Highly recommend!

I had acquired a batch of slides, film and VHS tapes from my family and needed a way to convert them so that the whole family could share them. My coworker suggested I memories so I tried them. They were able to convert the slides and the VHS with good quality and quickly. The reason for the 4 star rating was that they were unable to convert the film that I sent them. But I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

This was the simplist way to be able to view and share old 8mm tapes with the family some i didnt even know my mom had. Very fast shipping to recieve orginals back also.

The entire point of sending in my VHS video tape was to have the contents transferred to a DVD. I guess it was not clear, but the transfer was not able to be done because the video was a tape of a game show that my mother had been a contestant on back in the 1980's. It was taped from the television and was just for our family and it was unable to be transferred because of copyright laws, however, it was already a tape from the show.
At any rate, I was unhappy as there was just one transfer from the tape that was completed my imemories and that was an old film of my parents wedding from 1949. Tracie James in your customer service was very nice and sympathetic, but I was very disappointed and now will find another way to make a copy of the video.
