Overall the process was clean, simple, and convenient since I had multiple video formats to convert. However, in reviewing content not all the entire tapes were converted. I was able to borrow an old working camcorder to confirm this given some tapes had breaks in between content. I was able to capture the additional video myself afterwards. If you don't know what you have you may end up missing content. Also the initial shipping box was quite large and the cost associated with it may be a deterrent for some.

I had previously sent 20 sound Super 8 movies to Legacybox to digitize. I did not know (or notice) that my movies would come back with no sound. I was extremely disappointed when I started to watch these memories as they came back silent. I then read some reviews and saw some complimentary reviews about imemories. I called imemories and was told that they absolutely include sound on Super 8 movies. I gave them 1 movie to test that Legacybox had done silently. The movie came back with sound, the digitized film was also a better quality visually. I am happy I found imemories (albeit after spending a lot of money with Legacybox). Prices are about the same but a much better product from imemories. Also, Legacybox took 17 weeks to transfer my films, imemories took 2.

I found a box of old slides from my deceased dad, and the family wanted to convert them so we could all view the photos. I called Imemories and spoke with a very helpful representative who walked me through the steps. I mailed off my precious slides. A couple of weeks later, the entire family was able to view the slides from their home online and people are so happy. Conversations went back-and-forth about our memories. The slides themselves were returned to me shortly there after. I couldn't be happier with Imemories.

Very happy with my results of these old videos. One over 35 yrs old. So much so I have sent in another order for 7 more. I chose to download to my computer and transfer to my own USB drives so I can give away as gifts to other family members who have lost parents and do not have any videos with their voices. Now they do. Thank you so much for this service which I would not have considered if it were not on Facebook and a half off discount. Thank you.

I have had a reel of old family videos. For years I had no way to watch them. I sent my reel into iMemories and received my original reel back in the mail a couple of weeks later, and was able to share and view the videos online. It was a great surprise to send the link to everyone in the family so they could view them. So many of the people in the reels are already gone, and the video brought back some beautiful memories for so many of us.

I ordered the shipping box which worked fine, but it was not at all clear that my included discount applied to only the first step in the process, I. E. the conversion to digital. It was not at all clear from the instructions in the box that to get the dvd disks that I actually wanted there would be an ADDITIONAL charge for a separate item. When I received only my original video tapes in return it became clear that I had to spend more money.
