IMemories is literally light-years ahead of the competition at basically the same cost. In 1 week they converted almost all of the 37 video tapes I sent in and made them available online in well-organized albums consisting of individual videos. The remaining few were available just a few days later, and this was only so they could be re-processed on special equipment (at no additional cost) to optimize the quality. The company I used previously took 4 months to convert 8 VHS tapes and basically gave me a link to download the raw footage as 8 unlabled MP4 files. I would recomend iMemories hands-down over any competing company. I couldn't be happier with the results!

Although I was skeptical and indecisive initially (for many months), after deciding to go with imemories based on other customer reviews, I was absolutely impressed at the quality, turn-around time, professionalism, ease of use (they do the hard work for you) and especially the care they took of my old VHSs during shipping! It's a great way to house all your picks without self-scanning. What's needed is a folder-sharing management tagging system and the ability for users to share those folders with family and friends. Integrating with geology

I sent in a bunch of negatives to be digitalized and they all were but the quality of the pictures isn't that great. I'm not sure they did anything to improve them like they claim but at least I have them!
Hi Heather, Thank you for your feedback. When we do the digital conversion the negatives are dry cleaned, scanned through dust filters, and put through a color correction process to make sure the colors look as natural as possible. The original quality and condition of the photo will affect the outcome. Restoration services are outside of the digital conversion process that iMemories offers.
Issue i have is i sent reel to reel tapes that had 15 to 20 minutes, but all were posted with approximately 3.5 minutes of digital content?
Hi John, Thank you for your review. Each 50' of 8mm or Super 8 Film is only 3-4 minutes of video. That was the technology they had at the time. Due to the fact that the small 3" film reels were so short a lot of people would have multiple 50' reels spliced together on larger film reels. That way they did not have to change the film reel on the projector as often. One of the great things about what we do, is seeing how the technology has changed throughout the years!
We have a number of VHS tapes that needed to be digitized. The whole process was easy and painless to ship the tapes and receive them back.
The conversion did not take long and easy to download. I do not like subscriptions for these types of services but we decided to at least try one year so it would be easy to watch and show and various devices is a plus.

I am so excited to have my videos from all the way back to 1988. I have them all on one site that I can go and watch anytime. I have been able to share them with my children through texts and emails. The process is great and I am very happy with the quality.

After I had sent in all of my videos, it became unclear how I was actually supposed to download and watch them. I had to call customer service on numerous occasions to get clarification on how to view, download, and save my videos. The cost of each download is clearly spelled out, and there are plenty of options to cancel the videos that you don't want to pay for. I was troubled by the fact that it wasn't clear that I needed to purchase an annual subscription to view my videos. Rather, I ended up buying a flash drive, and stored them all on that. We can now watch videos from our laptop or our TV. But, as we all know, electronic devices evolve over time, and I will, once again, have to take my flash drive and convert it to something that works for viewing purposes.

Most of my videos were on mini-dvds and I don't have any devices that are compatible. I haven't seen these videos for 12 years. There were a couple videos that I forgot I had taken.
