I just wanted to choose a shade slightly darker to go with my summer skin tone and I had to start completely over in the process with the questions, skin care, etc. It would be great to be able to go on to your account and there be a quick summer / winter refresh option based on your previous answers or just one or two additional questions based on your profile. I enjoy this foundation and would love to level up on the purchase experience.

I don't understand how come if you for instance say by the primer $49 take the subscription which as soon as you get instant savings would make it 4410. It never comes out to that it's always still $49 why?
Only not 5 cause it's not so easy to reorder your color. The "I already know my sade" button is so small and easy to miss. Also I ordered a concealer this time and I didn't get to choose my shade. I'm assuming it automatically matches my foundation.
It's abundantly clear that it's Il Makiage's desire to rope people in to their "try it free" ploy, along with recurring auto shipments … no thanks … been there, done that … and was shipped products I neither wanted or needed. The only reason I stumbled around the site to figure out how to order just what I wanted is because the products are good. But it's pretty shameful that you're not happy with selling products to customers as they want to buy only what they need.

I just placed an order for the first time and was offered a subscription which I chose. For the subscription I was offered a 20% discount however, when I checked out, it only gave me a 10% discount. Then I was offered an additional 30% off if I went ahead and paid for an upgrade for a year. Because I didn't receive the first discount offered, I'm would love a 30% discount but concerned it won't be applied.
They have one button for delivery updates and marketing emails so if you want to know where your order is you have to get a barrage of marketing emails. Not a good experience! Other than that the checkout was easy.
I took a great chance when letting Al pick my color. All other self tanners have left me orange & streaky. Not this one. It was a perfect match! I highly recommend this product!

There were a few times I ordered foundation products and couldn't quite get the right tone for my skin and preference. I emailed my request for return and they worked with me until I got the product that best suited my skin. They didn't even require the product be shipped back they just sent me a replacement. I thought it to be very kind and unexpected, but this did make my ordering process very hassle free. Thank you!

I was charged $132.50 for an item that was advertised as $5.20. This is deceptive pricing, and I feel completely misled. I immediately requested a refund and canceled the order, as I wouldn't have gone through with it had I known the actual cost. Very disappointed with this experience.
I decided to try Il Makiage foundation back in March. My skin is super sensitive, but I had been eyeing it for a while and decided to go for it. Went thru the steps to find my perfect shade and when it came in, I was very pleased with the color match and thankfully had no skin issues. I did a subscription for the foundation. I was invited to test one of their new products with the promise of a gift code at the end of the 6 week testing. Loved the new product (again no skin issues) and completed the 6 weeks. I received the gift code promptly following the completion of testing. I've just redeemed my gift code on 3 new products I've wanted to try. Can't wait for them to arrive.
If you've been on the fence about trying Il Makiage, just do it!
They really do everything to make sure you're satisfied with the products. I love the foundation (Woke Up Like This). The finish looks natural and flawless
Answer: Yes! I believe they are anyway…but the problem with asking different peoples opinions and that is you will get MANY different opinions! The reason I say go for it and try them out is because regardless of if the products suit YOUR skin and style their customer service is amazing so you aren't really taking a risk as if for whatever reason you don't like what you buy they will fully refund or exchange with no problem at all. They are really quick with responding to enquiries too so if there's anything you want to ask them before buying I suggest sending them an email and you will soon see what I mean…they really go beyond to try and make their customers happy!

Answer: I wasn't successful. I sent them pics of the reaction I am having in the exact areas I am using the product and all they had to say was,"your 30 day return period has expired". For a company that charges $45 for 1.7 oz of cream, that is very poor customer service.
