I have always had a difficult time matching my foundation color to my face tone. I was hesitant to try Il Makiage foundation but because of the "try before you buy" option, I figured that I had nothing to lose.
I followed the questionaire and picked the skin tone photos that were closest to my own. My package arrived fairly quickly and I wasn't expecting much due to past failures in choosing foundations.

I have tried to contact the company, and had no human response. I am of the older generation that does not like automation, and sometimes prefer a human response versus a robot. Would appreciate a more hands on and human customer service response.

I want to try the product before I commit to auto ship. Then I was getting more prompts to add special "free gift" with my order that wasn't really free. I had to commit to auto ship to get my "free" gift.

While I like the products from IL MAKIAGE, the company's customer support is terrible. I received an e-gift for my birthday—a "buy one, get one free" offer. However, when place an order with the code, thingking all is good, when the comfirmation email came it said- one item ordered. I reached out to customer support, and initially, they told me I needed to order two products to get one free. Then they simply said, "Well, bad luck. You can try to roder somthign again and use the code. There's nothing we can do.
There are plenty of cosmetic brands that offer great products and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, IL MAKIAGE isn't one of them.

Answer: Yes! I believe they are anyway…but the problem with asking different peoples opinions and that is you will get MANY different opinions! The reason I say go for it and try them out is because regardless of if the products suit YOUR skin and style their customer service is amazing so you aren't really taking a risk as if for whatever reason you don't like what you buy they will fully refund or exchange with no problem at all. They are really quick with responding to enquiries too so if there's anything you want to ask them before buying I suggest sending them an email and you will soon see what I mean…they really go beyond to try and make their customers happy!

Answer: I wasn't successful. I sent them pics of the reaction I am having in the exact areas I am using the product and all they had to say was,"your 30 day return period has expired". For a company that charges $45 for 1.7 oz of cream, that is very poor customer service.
