Positive experience

IHerb has an enormous selection of natural products, prices are amazing and delivery is speedy. What more can one ask? I believe I've saved hundreds of dollars over the past few years by shopping with iHerb.

They had two products that looked identical, yet were different. Unfortunately I ordered the wrong thing. It was shipped quickly, however when I tried to return it they were very dismissive. I was told I would have to pay three times the original shipping fee to return it making it a big loss for nothing.

Then a couple of months later I received a customs bill amounting to a third of the order. It has been an expensive mistake ordering from them.

I ordered three items 11 weeks ago and wasn't home when the package arrived. When I went to the post office I was told the package was sent back to iherb. It is now almost 3 months later and they refuse to refund me the money. I don't know what to do since I don't have the products or my money!

I ordered a. 125 fl oz bottle of pure chamomile oil which is in a dark brown bottle. As I held it up to the light before use I noticed the bottle is ONLY half way full. I most likely won't order from this site again. Not a happy customer

We apologize for the negative experience you had with your recent shopping experience at iHerb.com. We at iHerb do not manufacture or bottle the products that you order. Unfortunately 0.125 fl ounces is a small amount of liquid. It is unusual for a manufacturer to have a bottle that small which will fit all the information needed for the label. This means they need to use a bottle that is much larger than is needed just for the liquid. I can assure you that 0.125 fluid ounces is what you received in the bottle. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns about the product.

I ordered an item worth 18GBP from them Paid 5.56GBP for postage, got slapped with 18GBP excise duty which i refused to pay and asked item to be returned and was charged $53 for the item to be returned. Item did not want to know anything about this. Not willing to resolve in any way so no money and no product in the end. What a farce!

I would have no complaints except I was slapped with a £21 customs duty just for ordering some protein powder! When you add this to the price its cheaper to buy on amazon! These hidden charges and the actual price you will be paying should be made crystal clear on their website. I see many people are complaining online about the same thing but it seems i herb are NOT listening to their customers feedback!? For this reason id say leave them alone If they cant respect customers outrage and misleading advertising of product pricing.

Don't use iHerb for shipping to Europe!
I was unpleasantly surprised DHL informed me of additional costs of 50,- on s 200 order. DHL itself charged 13,- administration costs.
I then read on the iHerb website I could send it back. These shipping costs I needed to pay myself and would get reimbursed what would be left.
If you charge in Euro's, iHerb should include VAT in its prices and addidional costs.
I will think twice for using iHerb again...

I ordered on the 15th, expected delivery on the 19th - didn't even ship until the 20th-21st with a 2 WEEK delivery time! Ridicules - they seem to be trying to lure people in with fast shipping dates at are not based in reality, then just brush it off. Customer service responded quickly but with a stock apology and no explanation or offer to cancel order. Also, I shipped to a P. O. Box and they sent via FEDEX - which does not deliver to P. O. Boxes so not sure I will even ever receive this order!

It is now the 21st of March - more than a month after I ordered - and still no product. I have contacted them on several occasions. They apologize, but give no concrete date or answers. Around the 5th time I emailed them they said the package had been "lost or misdirected" and said they had shipped it again. Tracking number they gave was dead - no such number in USPS or FEDEX. I did find they ship via Fedex post which is supposed to end up at regular USPS addresses but so far no luck.

Then they said the package had been lost or misdirected, I told them to just cancel it - they said they couldn't because it had already been re-shipped. That was a lie. I got an email the day after I asked for cancelation with a new tracking number which was dead, then the day after that another tracking number that said it shipped on the 7th which was the day AFTER I asked them to cancel the order.

They are liars and cheats and should just be put out of business. Again - it's more than a month after I ordered and I have never received the order and tracking doesn't show any advancement past the Atlanta warehouse.

Terrible Customer Service

I have had the most horrific experience with iHerb. I placed an order worth $ 75 from India and when the order arrived, I was informed that I'd have to pay an additional $45 in customs duty on the order. This would make the price of the product far more expensive than what it was sold here in India for. I decided to send the product back to iHerb as they had not warned me about these exorbitant customs duty that I'd have to pay.

When I tried to contact them about getting a refund, their customer service team informed me that the cost of returning the product would amount to as much as I had paid for the product and hence I was not eligible for any refund. They then made an offer to refund 50% of my customs duty should I choose to accept the order and pay the taxes. I figured this was a better option than losing all my money so I paid an additional $45 in taxes.

When I requested iHerb to refund 50% of the taxes I paid back to my credit card they then told me that they would only be able to give me this amount in store credit. This credit is absolutely useless to me because shopping at iHerb is ridiculously expensive for someone living outside of the US since there is such a huge surcharge of customs duty.

Apparently on iHerb's website, it is listed in fine print that "Duties and Taxes may be collected at delivery ", but what is the expected amount of that never stated. Most people don't even read this fine print, and those that do probably are unaware of how steep these charges are. IHerb ought to be giving an estimate of these charges upfront to their customers so that they can make an informed decision.

I feel cheated and disgusted at the service I received at iHerb, they clearly don't care about customer satisfaction at all and have lost me as a customer forever. I would like to reach out to as many people as possible, shopping from this website to let them know how terrible they are and don't care about informing you of the actual price that you will end up paying for the products you purchase.

Indian customers please never never order from this company. I ordered 2 creams from this website and paid 3500 Rs with delivery. I paid for this with my credit card and next day i got call and emails from DHL to upload some documents for the custom clearance. After spending ridiculous amount of time preparing this documents and wasting a lot of my time i uploaded them and waited for my product. When the product came to me, to my surprise there was a extra amount of 2500 Rs for custom duty which was never mentioned while placing the order on their website. When i call the DHL agent and told them that it was never mentioned on the website about the extra cost while ordering, he started arguing with me that its my fault not to find all the details. He started arguing that custom duty is always extra and they dont know about the exact amount while the order is placed. But since i have a import export business i know that custom duty can only be 30% of the product cost and not more than that and that means there is really a fraud involved in this. Here they are charging me almost 75% of the product cost which is a big scam and fraud. After reading all the reviews on this website i am convinced this company is nothing but a fraud and I dont know why reputed courier company like DHL is also involved in this fraud and making their image terrible. Please dont order from this company.

Loosing money

I did my order and paid with my card order and shipping but after when they send already they send me email I have to pay 25€ more for shipping, or if I cancel they take money for ship it back! So shipping cost me the half price of my order! Dont believe in first price! Use other websites there is a lot of alternative! And they telling it's not there mistake, so they just don't care about costumers! Be careful

Appalling

Warning! IHerb take payment for postage but have packages arrive with you that have not had shipping taxes paid and say that they can't help what our government charges nor what shipping company you choose (I choose?) £20 for two bottles of vitamins and they say, " Please note that the refund for returned orders may take up to 2 months to complete as shipping companies bring back packages to iHerb in bulk only six times a year. It is really better just to take care of the taxes than to have the package denied."
Forwarding this and all the other nonsense in their email to Which?

Ordered for the third time from this place, and I have not been disappointed. Each time I got the "Sodium Ascorbate" (Vit C) and it was shipped fast, no hassles and easy to modify your order before it's shipped. Loved it! Ordered from D. C. so I'm not sure if it's the same for international orders.

After ordered from the site in £! And not being told that you are ordering from America! The site is not clear enough, and you end up paying duty on top! What a rip off! STAY AWAY from their site if you order from Europe!
