Once an account holder, ID.me speeds up the process of logging in to sites I need secure access to.

Getting setup was difficult and sometimes I have trouble logging in and navigating the system.
Using ID.me is the only way to login into the IRS website, so you have to do it. It took two hours to get verified, I think there was trouble because we recently moved. But people move, this is life. There has to be a way to verify people who move. There was no customer service to contact for help, no number. You can submit a ticket, which I did but all I got a crappy autogenerated response with links to articles. Absolutely terrible. If you can avoid Id.me, avoid at all costs.

These companies are asking for too much personal information which can and does end up in the wrong hands too often. This should be an option not a must with government or any other agencies.

The trustworthiness of this program is top notch and allows me to securely get into my Social Security account to view my future retirement earnings, access the Department of revenue so I can check my taxes as well as access other government and state programs and services. Wish I'd known about this and had it years ago!
