I was extremely glad to experience the ID.me document upload and verification process. I had difficulty in getting a microphone on line so could see the agent, but not hear him. He worked with me on several solutions, and we ended up talking on the phone while using the video. He was very patient and helpful. We did have a bit of problem getting my documents in focus, but he was very patient and eventually he was able to see them and verify.
Keeping track of passwords for multiple government sites can be frustrating. There were times I had to procrastinate on important tasks just to recover login credentials. I wish all sites used ID.me—it would make life easy by a bit.
I was nervous about providing my personal information online, in fear of fraud and or identity theft, the staff/agent put my worries at ease, the invitation for video call was provided before the 2-3 period, the agent was personable while remaining professional and provided reassurance throughout process. The call itself was less than 4 minutes.
