Me has proven to be the most rigorous verification process I have ever encountered. This process could have, and should have, been put in place years ago. Spent like over 20 minutes going thru the setup process back and forth a dozen times with codes on my phone, uploaded my face, my ID front and back, etc. Did just about everything except give a DNA sample and I STILL could not log into the SSA. Gov website. SSA and ID. Me deserve each other, government is incompetent, that's why Trump is firing most of them, Elon needs to DOGE SSA web developers and cancel ID. Me contract, waste of time and money!

Once ID. ME is used and we go to Social Security and try to use our original user id and passwords to access our social security account it gives an error. ID ME should not disable our direct login to social security if we decide not to use ID. ME or forget to use it... ID. ME should have a panel menu once signing into ID. ME and show: Accounts that are enabled with ID. ME access to GOV Dept. s from VA HEALTH, VA, TRICARE FOR LIFE, MEDICARE, SSA,,, IRS. Please understand this is new to many of the elder people and we require information to be posted for one account! Ty v/r YSN RET
All was good however if you wear glasses make sure you are completely set up. So when removing them you don't have to read anything just push the button.
