The company ask you to verify but in order to collect information they pretend to have errors so that you try to verify other ways while compiling information about you. They do not have a proper customer service number not customer agents. They're wait times to verify you via video has you on hold for more than 4 days with no eta updates. This company is not capable of handling the volume of unemployment people there is to verify. AFTER YOU VERIFY PLEASE REQUEST THAT THEY REMOVE YOUR INFORMATION PERMANENTLY FROM THEIR DATABASE

I've waited days, untold hours, painful minutes and millions of agonizing seconds for this mockery of technology to give me a "trusted referee" but to no avail. I see one positive review and I'm guessing she works for the company. Yes their people are polite but anyone with a brain would have set up a callback system to save everybody a load of grief! Even the DMV has that!

This is the absolute worse way to verify someone. You have to download your documents a certain way and even if you have done what they ask, they will reject your documents. Mine have been rejected 4 times in the matter of 2 days. I have not left my house and have sat with my laptop on the entire time. I wait at the minimum so far this last time, 8 hours for them to just reject it again. They are doing a video interview with you so I'm not real sure why we can't just show them that way. I can't use my social security card because it is my storage unit since I got evicted out of my house. And I have been 2 months with no income because this process is taking months to get done. I have never been so frustrated and infuriated in my entire life!

Time frame to get verified is always more than 5 hours and when the five hours is up, they tell you it will be over another 5 hours before you can get verified. This has gone on for 5 consecutive days. Round and round with no help or contact from customer service after promising they would.

I wasted five hours trying to get this worthless company to verify me. I submitted four different forms of Id's. They still couldn't confirm me. Now they want to do a video call by having me wait for five hours. I can't help it that I am dark skinned. Just have to go to Edd have them waste time on me when they could be assisting others. ID me compares your identification with credit report. So if you don't have a FICO score or any credit report they send you to a referee. I have been trying for a week to get in touch with the referee I am now sitting online for 14 hours and still can't get through. You can't be put in line and have somebody contact you I've reached out to their customer support everything this is the worst rip-off ever just another way to keep people from getting there unemployment horrible horrible horrible horrible

If possible wait for the referee from a laptop. I couldn't get through on my cell phone but finally got through after 9 hours waiting. Once I got to video chat with someone I was verified in 5 minutes. Be patient and stay by computer. Just because it says 5 hours wait doesn't mean it can't direct you a lot sooner. It will work eventually, I know how frustrating it can be but hang in there. If you have the right paper work it goes quickly once connected.

I have been waiting for two months to resolve an issue stemming from Colorado's Unemployment integrity hold.
Meanwhile this is April 2nd and Unemployment is to reinstate my benefits clear back to December. So that's quite a bit of money.
And the trouble isn't getting resolved anytime soon. They have no online personnel to answer problems. None. They rely on a heavy amount of automatic replies to blanket reply to thousands of individuals.
They are also to replace, at this time of vicious unemployment in Tech Support and other validation and hands-on account repair, thousands of people are being displaced by this software "development" project.
I cannot, with a good heart and clear conscious, say that this decision or action by ANY Government payment service is going to become a good situation. People's lives are already being detrimentally affected and people are suffering.
I am homeless. I am completely without income and the combination of ID.me and Colorado Unemployment Services new computers and software are working fluidly safely.
Things are looking bad. Money is getting lost in the change-up. And people are suffering like me all acrost the United States.
I pray that the Senators and Congressmen become aware of this situation VERY SOON for us all.

The congestion is understood but after waiting 5 hours, the clock starts back at at "over 5hrs wait time" for the past 5 days. This is absolutely horrible. I am reasonably savvy when it comes to computers and online things in general. I work on one all day. This IDme is designed to drive people crazy. I have tried at least a dozen times on a pc and two phones. In each case, the website doesn't recognize something, times out repeatedly, does not work with my phone, doesn't detect a camera, you name it. I cannot get through to a living person to figure it out either. I think this is meant to keep people from getting the information in in the allotted time so they will not be eligible for the unemployment they paid for themselves from years of work. I suspect a nefarious agenda behind it! I am not kidding!

Like most people's stories on the Better Business Bureau's website (where they have an F rating) I'm trying to "verify my identity". I was referred to id.me through the Arizona Dept of Economic Security (unemployment office) after being laid off due to COVID. If I wasn't referred by a State agency I would be convinced that this is a scam, but I'm trusting the state.
After submitting my driver's license and phone number I was told they could not verify me. There was no indication as to what to do next. There is no phone number. So I emailed them. They didn't respond. I emailed them again and I got a one-line response saying that someone will contact you soon. This repeated for five weeks (not exaggerating). When I finally heard back from someone I was told to upload that there's a video verification option if my phone number is not accepted. They ignored the part where I sent them a screenshot showing this not to be the case.
Eventually, I realized that if you try to submit your documents a second time and it doesn't work, THEN and only then does the video option appear. I've now been on hold for a "referee" for seven hours. I would never voluntarily do business with this company and can't believe that the state can't find another company to verify identities given how bad the reviews are. Still not sure if/when I'll ever get my unemployment benefits.

I have been trying to upload my documents for 4 days now all while waiting 5 hours at a time and finally when it gets down to 0 minutes it asks me to meet with someone and it starts back to 5 hours again! Aaaaahhhhh
Why can't this be streamlined. I am having to verify for EDD a second time. That doesn't make any sense. They need data companies to take this over or have a better system in place. These are peoples lives, survival at a very basic level. A system that requires you to wait over 16 hours is ARCHAIC! Have some respect for those of us that are absolutely helpless given the over a year long pandemic and its inhumane approach. We need better local leaders that are helping not making it harder to survive. IDme either needs to hire more staff or hand over to a company that can handle the volume on a LOCAL level. Looks like IDme - money is more important here and they are not expanding to meet the phenomenal need. Shame on those that put profit before people during a human crisis.
