The printed part was a little confusing however after doing that go for the video conference option to make it all easy to complete. I just used the link they sent to take pictures of my documents and sent it off pre conference. The man on the phone meeting just had me hold up the id's I specified and bang, all done!

The process seemed tedious since it's got to do with identity verification and the government, two things that are usually never fast and a headache. ID.me was actually not a bad experience. It was fast, the agent was super nice, and the whole process didn't actually take that long. If you choose to take photos of documents, it even lets you use your phone to upload them without having to scan and upload. Arguably very 2022 and not 1980. I love that.
