How does a 3rd party vendor exist? It's easy. They contrive a problem, waiting for a reaction, then come up with a solution to the problem that they created. Who's problem should it be when there is a problem with an ID? The government. But who's verifying government IDs? This horrific company (IDme) who is being looked at for multiple problems by congress and privacy rights advocates.
I keep getting ran in circles with a passport & a state driver's license, that IDme is holding up my unemployment benefits. As a verified veteran, IDme can't verify my verification. How insane is that? I keep getting automated emails that people are on the job, and I go look at my que for submitting a help ticket just to find it empty again (just "clearing out the que - no problem here"...).
The latest and greatest email says "Hello Nathan! You've successfully verified your group affiliation with ID.me. Well done! Now tell us: how did it go?"...Ummmm, I'm not successfully verified - that's how well you did, and yet you allow me to continue flapping in the wind. This smacks of discrimination against lower income people.
Will me describing my experience help? I doubt it.
Site was easy to navigate. The 1st initial setup take a little but, I'm ok with that for my identity to be secure. Now when using different sites it's so quick and easy and Hassel free.

I've learned something different and it's more privacy
My experience was fast simple and helpful. The agent was very nice and everything went as planned
The setup for my unemployment benefits was extremely easy and the instructions were self-explanatory. I had no issues setting up my profile and now am one step closer to receiving my benefits.
My experience with ID.Me was exactly what I typed in my title. Literally fast, friendly, and simple. If I can do this anyone can do this. The agent I had for my video call and verification was very friendly and she was thorough about checking my documents to make sure Iam who I say Iam which is exactly what you want. She was also helpful about the steps I needed to take after my verification call had ended. She was very nice and friendly the whole time and made it a quick and easy experience. I would Def recommend someone trying this new process of verification.
Trouble setting up account. Trying to login also trouble some. It would be better to provide easy access to open a account.
