Hyatt Hotels and Resorts

I was staying at the hotel from October 3 to October 9. When I returned to my house in Puerto Rico, we noticed that my daughter's jacket had been left in the hotel closet. We called to report and they said there was no jacket. Unfortunately, the employee who cleaned that room said that there was nothing in the closet. We are 100% sure it was left there, but someone stole it.

My husband and I have been coming to this hotel from it was Amera Suites over 15-20 years now. I have been accustomed to coming in the back to use the safe. Since the pandemic their policy has changed and I was unaware. On the 27th July at 6pm when I arrived seeking to secure my items in the safe, the general manager was very insulting and threatened to call the police should I insist on going back in the back shouting at me as if I knew the policy change, keeping in mind I haven't travelled since before Covid. I told him I didn't know of their new policies and I felt he was being very racist. I would like to thank Rita and Sherry the clerks who were at the front desk as they were very nice and it was only for them that I would return to this hotel. They deserve a 10/10 for their good customer service.

I was very satisfied with my weekend stay, the room was very clean, as well as the service was outstanding. The Hyatt I stayed at was in Kansas City, on 112th St. They had a full Breakfast with everything you would want, I was shocked it was more than just a continual Breakfast. I would recommend any and everyone to stay at the Hyatt. Loved it.

Last November I had visitors arriving from out of the country; we wanted to meet up at Dulles then spend the weekend in Washington.

The first bad omen was booking my reservation on Amoma, a scam organization that was forced out of business. When the reservation hassles were resolved I was squared away with a queen room with fold out sofa. Fine.

When I arrived at this "place," I was underwhelmed... it looked decent enough in a gulag sort of way... everything was pale gray. With cheap upholstery... but things appeared clean and orderly... the staff was trilingual, a plus.

Checked out Sunday morning. Drove home. That night covered with bedbug bites covering entire right side from feet to shoulders. These were confirmed as bedbug bites. I politely contacted the hotel... they deadzoned me... denied denied denied.

Fortunately my suitcase, clothes and shoes were stowed far from beddding while at the Hyatt. Please be aware that the District of Columbia is a major hub for bedbugs... travelers and tourists coming and going constantly... vermin being transferred.

My intention was to inform the management... not to request a refund... nor bring legal actions Heck, if they had been willing to play ball, I would have given that grim place three stars.

I will never spend the night in a DC hotel ever again... okay, maybe a Ritz Carlton... but no other big box chain.

Boo Hyatt... BOO BOO BOO.
