When your AC is out during the summer the last thing you need is a HVAC supplier who either lies or misleads you on when your AC equipment will ship or arrive. HVAC AC direct told 3 things that were misleading or downright lies.
1 - Your equipment will ship tomorrow - shipped 4 days later
2 - Your equipment will arrive in 5-6 days order placed on Wednesday shipped following Tuesday
3 - I could cancel my order if it wouldn't make it on time.
All three were not true
Buyer beware!
I called and worked out a purchase of a complete system with a sales man. He entered it incorrectly. So I called back to get it adjusted and they wanted to charge me tax. ( My state doesn't charge tax for online orders but the sales man wanted me to pay it up front and fight with their accounting to reimburse it to me) So I ordered the same system from AC Outlet ( no tax and free shipping) and called to cancel the HVAC direct order. The sales man literally begged me to keep the order and I said absolutely not, cancel it. That was on 6/8/23. I called customer service on 6/21/23 to see why I had not been reimbursed yet and they said there was a note on my account for "someone" to call me and arrange for delivery. So basically, the salesman got pissed off and set my account into limbo. No one called me for 13 days and nothing would have been done if I didn't spend my time to follow up on them doing their job. When I asked her for who put the note on my account, she said she didn't know. Then she said it had the initials TB. So I asked who the sales manager was for my region and she continued to give me the run around. So yet another company that doesn't give a flying flip and just looking to make that sale. Do yourself a favor and save $400 on a $3600 system, AC Outlet.
A person was supposed to notify me about the shipping date and time of delivery.
My delivery schedule consisted of a phone call to deliver a few hours before delivery when I was out of town. Other than that, everything was great.
Delivery went well, however, I did not get a call the day before, I happen to be at home when the driver called saying he was 15 minutes out. My driveway is 1/4 miles long and I had to meet the semi out on the main road. Not sure what would have happened if I wasn't home. Instalation was not hard
This is my 2nd purchase thru HVAC direct. I purchased a furnace last fall and a split AC system this spring. Both experiences were great. Very attentive customer support. Both the furnace and Ac are working great.
My experience was poor my order was substituted for much lower quality equipment that was at least $400.00 less in price... i will not be using HVACDIRECT again. I was asked to sub. The evaporator. And said yes. But all of the order was sub...the the AIR Quest stuff is junk
It was a wonderful experience. From purchase to delivery. The unit was unharmed from shipping and works amazing.

I needed a dual zone mini-split system for my mom's ALQ "Tiny home". I wasnt sure what I needed excatly but the customer service representative "Tatiana" was very helpful and knowledgeable and within about 10 minutes she had everything I needed in my cart and ready to go. She suggested the fiberglass pad, additional lineset materials, through-wall sleeves etc. I ordered it all and it was exactly what I needed. I am very thankful for such high quality customer service!
