At the N Davis Hwy, Pensacola, FL location, Laura was a very confused person. When she talked to us, she was rude and demeaning.
I am still hurt by how Laura talk to me and my husband. We will never go to H&R Block again.

I had a major concerns while filling out my taxes. The major concern was that I am retired on a fixed income and my agi increased $30k. When I tried to efile, I was told that I had to upgrade the software before I could efile, so when I tried to upgrade, I was told the next upgrade wasn't until 2 weeks. WHAT is that all about? This is the first time in years that I owed state tax and the program wouldn't let me efile my state and the directions for mailing in the payment were very vague. As I told H&R Block, I don't know who developed this software but they should go back to Atari and work on a new "Pong" game.

We never had to pay the IRS but now this year we had to pay they screwed up and don't want to own up to it because they know they screwed up on the paper work

Spent all the time to enter all my info. Site reviewed it several times and said it was 100% accurate.
Sent it to HR block pro to review for additional fee. The return he sent back to me hardly looked like my return. One sched C was completely missing. No way for the system to send me the return back to original platform to try and reenter missing info... has taken just as much time fighting with HR block as it was to enter in all my info... return is still in limbo... have exchanged 30 plus online messages over last week to no avail...

They did my taxes wrong waited 2week called to find out and was told he block screwed up so that fixed it I thought but no so now I have to wait up to 3 months or more to get my return when should had it in 2weeks can't say I would ex wife had hers done another place got hers in a week was direct deposit because he block messed it up gotta wait for a check now I do not recommend these people at all Thay screwed me bad in on social security disability and I really really needed that money and all I got is a big F good luck you from HR block totally discussed with everyone I talked to was takes down to and even yelled at when I call to say that messed up at this point next person that$hittu to me again I'm gonna hit period sick of this cause me alot of work and are $hitty to me ok than let's do this HR block

Although this system that H&R Block has created has the ability to work seamlessly and without problems, they chose to design it in a way that you cant get through it without added costs to you. They so "conveniently" place the option to receive help by paying more right at the exact moment you encounter issues trying to finish your return. Want to talk to a virtual assistant to help get you over that problem your having? That will be 9.99. Oh lucky you, your promised to receive assistance in roughly 13 minutes although the countdown calculator shows you as customer number 99. Then once you've waited 40 min and are at number 37, you lose connection and have to start over again. Now your wait is only 11 minutes, but you still end up being customer number 99, except this time, the connection is lost at some point in the 60's. So then you reluctantly try to finish your return again only to be sent down the same rabbit hole to "fix" a problem they found, but by clicking on "fix the problem", it leads you right back around to where you started which in turn makes it impossible for you to file your return and only allows you to "print and mail which could result in an IRS audit" according to a warning op up. Ahhh but then, alas, you are offered the services of the "pro" who will take it from here and make sure your return is done correctly. The cost? Only 9.99 more plus tax.
Why doesn't H&R Block just offer the services at the "pro amount" to begin and stop advertising free or 19.99 filing costs? This would save everyone time and frustration.

DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH THE EMERALD CARD TEAM. THIS COMPANY WENT DOWNHILL FAST. I FILED EVERY YEAR WITH THIS COMPANY AND LAST YEA R AND THIS YEAR I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE! I WAS PUT ON HOLD FOR AN HOUR AND STILL GOT TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER DEPARTMENT WHERE SHE SAID SHE WAS GOING TO REVIEW HER RESOURCES AND HUNG UP ON ME. I WAS PERFECTLY CALM AND NICE. I DONT KNOW ANYMORE. NEXT YEAR I AM TRYING A NEW COMPANY.

We've filed with Hr Block in an office for 13 year's. This year we decided to just file through them online and pay for them to look over our taxes and e-file them for us. Our return was edited on Jan 31st. IRS sent our return to HR Blocks bank on Feb 22nd. Our Emerald advance we took out in November was also paid off on the 22nd. Now we are being told they have no idea where the rest of our tax refund went. They don't care. As long as they got what was owed to them- the hell with the rest of our money we are owed. I will NEVER use them again.

What a crock. Made me pay before telling me form wasn't available that I needed to fill out so it couldn't be file until form is available. And won't refund what I paid so I went elsewhere and had our taxes done. Glad I did, got a $1000 more elsewhere. 10 years experience?! Damn if I had 10 years experience and didn't understand an irs letter just stating I needed to claim Covid 19 funds then I'd sue whoever taught me to do taxes. Every question I had you had to go ask your supervisor. But I will say thank you for upsetting me (I cried) to the point of walking out otherwise I wouldn't have gone elsewhere and got us a much bigger return. IF YOU WANT EVERY DOLLAR YOUR OWED DONT GO TO HR BLOCK FOR SURE. I'll pray for y'all. Just remember God don't like ugly

I have been with H&R block since 2006. I have never really had an issue until this year. The lady that did my taxes did not know what she was doing. She took my 25-year-old son off of my dependents she said I could not claim Earned Income Credit. I knew that but he still lived in my house for the entire year with no income. I didn't realize what she did until after we were done. We had sat there for almost 2 hours, and they were closing. She did not ask to remove him, and she had no right to remove him I could have got some extra refund. They should have to pay me the difference. I will not go back there next year.

Went to them to get my taxes done
Out of a $211.00 return, I got a whole $8.00
The crooks got the rest.
I will NEVER use h&r block again. Totally got screwed
Next year... I'll do my own damn taxes.

They make it sound like you'll file for free by using their website, but the deeper you get into the process the more they start adding fees for the most basic services other companies provide for free. They don't give detailed descriptions about what they're asking for and use strange wording as an attempt to get you to upgrade to one of their tiered human services. Basically offering bad service hoping you'll give up and pay even more. Terrible.

Hi Ben to HR block over 20 years this year I lost my taxes the lady that worked there was rude I had to go back three times in order to get my taxes done then the manager had someone do it and said my taxes was free because of all the problems they had the receptionist apologized for the lady that worked there how rude she was so this year I'm going to someone else I'll never go back to HR Block again

Lie to you about everything hidden charges and no number for you to call corporate office just some answering service in some state who is not going to help you and if you are lucky enough to get a call back from some jackass that claims to be a manager they tell you they will pass along the information to corporate yet can't give you a phone number or email address. USE ANY OTHER COMPANY JACKSON HEWITT TURBOTAX NOT H@R rip you off thieves $#*! H&R low life scum of the earth waste of sperm $#*! holes. Their daddy should of jac off instead of $#*!ing their mommy

So HR block has this thing where you can drop Off taxes, upload and send them in or come in. I decided I would send them in. I figured it would take a bit longer. Cheryl Handled mine the whole process was a joke. First off I always do my own taxes this year I thought there had to be a mistake so I figured I'd have an "expert" to look it over. It took 3 WEEKS for her to finish. Then she didn't even call to tell me it was done. I've called a few times and the "operator" was ghetto then instead of putting me hold she said "Emily something something is on the phone" I tried my hardest to be patient. I messaged her didn't reply I waited a couple days before I decided to call and leave a message. She FINALLY got back and she said she emailed me instead of
Calling she was rude every time I spoke with her. I finally went in. She never told me what my upfront cost is. We sit down again she was rude even walked off to talk and laugh to the phone operator for a few minutes while I'm at her desk. I've already waited 3 WEEKS I was pissed at this point. We get to the end and she's like "You pay me $250" yet the ADVERTISEMENT IS "free" for basic returns. Ok I'm like well how much is my return? She said "100 and you owe $84" so basically $15 I told her I'll do them myself. This time I'm taking my time re reviewing everything and there it was I was paying on another state I didn't even live in. So her being an expert should have seen that. I will continue to do my own taxes from now on. Screw HR LYING BLOCK. They need to change their name to "unprofessional false advertisement"

We used get it a day head time but can't bc it is a holiday Monday it says on irs website they send it to my emerald card but I still haven't got it

I filed my texts with H and R block on 1/25/22 got accepted the same day then on 2/18/22 they went in and changed somethings and now they saying it's going to be 16 to 20 weeks before I get my taxs. I should not have to pay for something they messed up on. I used the baldwyn mississippi office. Please take your business somewhere else

I filed online with H&R Block and it got the job done. However, their customer service is not good. Because I had to file for my student loans, I had to upgrade to the Deluxe product and because I updated to the Deluxe product, my state return was no longer free and I had to pay an extra fee for that as well. First of all, if I am "upgrading" to another product that is already costing me a fee, shouldn't I get something in return? Instead I had to pay another fee to finish my taxes because I was already on a Deluxe product. It seems backwards to me. They are trying to get you whenever they can with so many fees. I tried asking the customer service about the state fee because I was confused and they gave me one word answers the entire time. Not a great experience.

I have been waiting to file my taxes because I'm being told they don't have a form (8915-f) ready for e-file because irs has not released that form yet but the irs has released it and it can be filed on taxslayer. I'm a little upset that this form isn't ready knowing that tax season was coming and they have more than just me needing this form. I have been a customer for several years now but makes me rethink and just want to do my own.
