HP Reviews Summary

HP's reputation is increasingly marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and product reliability issues. While some customers praise the quality and reliability of HP products, particularly laptops and printers, many express frustration over unresponsive support, complicated return processes, and inadequate troubleshooting assistance. Common complaints include lengthy wait times, ineffective repairs, and a perceived lack of care for long-term customers. This growing discontent suggests a need for HP to enhance its customer service approach and address product support challenges to retain customer loyalty and improve overall satisfaction.

Great UNTIL…..
July 12, 2023

Great until….they mailed me the wrong ink product.then they want me to print a return label on a printer that needs the black ink I ordered and never received…then wait until they get the wrong ink returned to them BEFORE they ship the black ink I needed and ordered online….HMMMM.And they want me chase down a FedEx store and NOT use a drop box.and I am ordering online because I am elderly and wanted a home delivered product! Walmart is where I go from now on…

HP customer chat support was so bad today. I asked if HP could help with a hardshell cover for my lab top and the chat support just ended the chat. No support what so ever. I took my lab top back to the store and got an apple lab top. Support was so much better. You just lost a customer because you couldn't give any support.

HP Pavilion x 360 2-in-1 Laptop i7 (2023)

One of the worst decisions was to go with this model.
The performance of this laptop incredible slow even with 16Ram and 1T SSD

This unit can be good only for casual use if you need computer for it sake.
One of the worst for past decades, operation system slow and terrifying for all
Kind of operation, excluding YouTube watching and basic game playing. Not suitable
And uncontrollable while using for work, filling downloading and downloading.
All kind of operations, too sensitive to control your activities that to leads to all
Horrible disaster while using including basic operations causing in messing files,
Text, setup, work application routine.

Don't buy HP laptop or PC in Italy. They do not have any physical customer care center, or, any repair center in Italy. They have a lot of manufacturer problems in their products and if anything happens, HP will charge you expensive and you cannot afford the cost. HP is just a robber and stealing money from common peoples pocket.

Worst customer support I've ever had. The directions are giving me wrong info on buttons I don't have, and the only way to get support is to get info I don't have in places where it isn't available. Worst tech experience ever.

I don't know how I got sold on the insta ink probram, but I did. And when I went to cancel it, they dissabled my printer... so, I had to stay in insta ink program if I wanted to use my printer. Recently my debit card was compromised, and when the charge didn't go through, they dissabled me again. So I gave them the current info, and then recieved a message it might take 30 minutes... 3 hours later I still couldn't use printer. Called in... now get this... they wanted $51 to enable my printing... SMH

A year ago or so, HP came up with a scheme to require everyone to use their toner cartridges, Tjhey did this by circulating an app called HP Smart as a printer interface. The problem is that the software is junk and has rendered every single HP printer we own as useless Our HP Printers now sit idle all day as they no longer work. We spent countless hours trying to reach HP customer support to no avail. We are now looking to replace every single one of our printers and inventory of toner cartridges. HP use to stand for bulletproof reliability. Not any longer. In the market for a new printer?:Do yourself a solid and look elsewhere

Purchased this printer a 18 months ago (2021) on account of it's faster printing capability for a 1500 page print job I had. After 3 days of swearing I finally got it to connect to my computer and print. It did a great job.
The problem is, that everytime I want to use the printer or scanner (which isn't often I admit), I spend about 2 hours trying to get the thing to 'talk to my computer'. Usually I give up. The help tips just send you around and around. It always comes back to making sure your printer is connected to the server.
The printer IS connected to the server and it IS the same server as my computer.

The only conversation I am able to have is with some AI bot thing which is of absolutely no use.
The printer is now down the tip and I go to the library for anything I need to do.

Please beware! If you purchase an h p Printer and it ends in the letter e you will be sorry. These printers are very problematic and the software Is also problematic. H p is more concerned with collecting your information than making good products Like they used to. The quality and complexity has gone downhill significantly. If you look for the overall ratings and you google it you will see why many people have had Horrible experiences and people need to buy elsewhere to teach h p a lesson. I am a computer consultant and I used to very much like hp products. But now I prefer brother As all of the online nonsense that hp uses wastes time and if you ever run into a situation where you are not able to connect to the Internet? You will not be able to solve the problem... Many sales people are not aware of this because they do not do the installs... I hope that you found this informative..

Service agreements

They take your money but you get lost service on repairs and maintenance of expensive machines. I'd avoid buying anything from them! Zero stars

I got a 1 year warranty on a laptop, in case of it suddenly breaking. It did in fact suddenly break, but the support person insisted I was at fault despite it not being caused by me in any capacity. Now I'm stuck paying 300 dollars for a screen replacement because HP is terrible at manufacturing computers and customer service. They also wouldn't let me review the support person on their site.

Software annoyingly over-engineered and buggy. Won't accept aftermarket Ink I bought months ago and had to throw perfectly good ink away. Had many HP printers over the last 30 years but will never buy an HP again.

Never again
June 7, 2023

Laptop was good right up to the point when it became useless because the charging port is defective. This is a big issue and there are multiple complaints online. Plug in to charge and it starts smoking. All your data on your hard drive is there, but you can't access it because you can't charge the battery, and, of course, it's out of warranty. I'll never buy another HP product. Stand behind your products; don't hide behind your warranty.

I won't even give 1 star, as it took FOREVER just to get to the "proper" agent for help, then that agent said it would cost me a "diagnostic fee" to get help. What a scam!

Purchased my HP Envy direct from HP in Dec 2021 as I thought I would get the best value and aftercare, but little did I know the warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. I have been quoted £267.15 (Was £307.25 but sales agent magically can reduce the fee) but I am unable to speak with a technician for clarification as to know why a fault arises, simply that if I pay then the problem won't occur again.

Around one year after the laptop the hinge worked loose, and they are stating it as "Pure Misuse - Quotation Provided by Service Center" and told the technician isn't available, you missed their call etc. etc etc. which is fabricated.

I reluctantly will have to pay this extortionate fee to have my laptop returned but will take it as valuable experience, to buy through a retail outlet. I.e John Lewis, Argos, where I will have backup.

Overall very disappointed with the service and now with the product.

HP have fell off completely, I used to purchase the instant ink for several years. I noticed it was watered down but I decided to continue it for a wdial, a lone while.I begin to purchase ink now. I just realized today. That i'm unable to print and black because my color cartridge is empty. In the beginning you could print even though your colored cartridge was empty. With today's inflation. We don't need all that extra trying to force us to purchase ink we may not need. So I am going to get back on the instant ink program. But i'm only going to get on the one that you paid four dollars a month for and only pay ten cent per print and they still will send you ink Not satisfied at all, So when this printer break? And most HP printers malfunction in one year. I'm going to buy a cannon printer, Because they've always required all in Cartridge to be installed. If I must have ink and a printer I might as well go with the best.

After a diagnostic run on HP's web site it was determined that the battery in my 3 month old lap top was bad. I made an appointment at their service center at Best Buy and drove over an hour to have it replaced.
When I got there the Geek Squad told me they couldn't do the work because HP wouldn't ship them the parts but they could ship it in and I should have it back in 6 to 8 weeks. HP ISN'T THE COMPANY IT ONCE WAS. The geek told me my best option was to buy anything but an HP because he was seeing so many problems and thanked me for not yelling at him.

Printer broke. Technical support promised replacement printer in 5 days. No printer came. Called again. Promised printer next day. No printer came. Called again. Told a "case agent" would call. No one did. DO NOT buy a warranty. Get your HP printers only when on sale and just ditch them when they break. The way the warranty works, is that when people send in printers broken but on warranty, HP fixes them and sends these "refurbished" printers out to other customers with warranties. If your model not in refurb stock when you need it, they put you off as long as they need to. No amount of asking for a supervisor changes anything. HP is dishonest. Their printer warranty is fiction. They know this and do not care. So far their volume sales mean they don't have to care to make a profit.
