HP's reputation is increasingly marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and product reliability issues. While some customers praise the quality and reliability of HP products, particularly laptops and printers, many express frustration over unresponsive support, complicated return processes, and inadequate troubleshooting assistance. Common complaints include lengthy wait times, ineffective repairs, and a perceived lack of care for long-term customers. This growing discontent suggests a need for HP to enhance its customer service approach and address product support challenges to retain customer loyalty and improve overall satisfaction.

I will NEVER purchase an HP printer again! Such a rip off, you absolutely can NOT use any ink unless it's HP.it will reject the ink and not work. It would be ok if ink was priced reasonably but NO its more than double the cost of all the other compatible inks AND 1 set of new ink costs more than the printer not to mention monopolization of the product. Don't buy, run away from HP and buy a printer from a company with reasonably priced ink or that allows compatible inks!
They are very useless. My laptop broke down after just 11 months of usage. First repaire was free, then 3 months later it broke down again for the same issue. They only suggested a 50% discount on second repair and they do not even know how much it will be. Or a 250$ discount code on their company website. Which is ridiculous considering the fact that I paid 1100$ for a laptop that is deficient, so why would I ever want to purchase a laptop from their company.
Knowing that they are suppose to give me a free laptop in exchange, because their collegue said they have due to the poor condition of the laptop. Now the AMS is saying otherwise. I am still trying to get to the bottom of this issue.
Trash product supporting the killing of babies and apartheid nowadays neither my family will ever buy HP trash. I will make sure everyone I know does not buy hp. Boycott forever.
HP has terrible customer service. I have an HP M209dwe which has very little use. When I ran into a problem only one month after the warrantee expired, they would not even attempt any help without charging me. I will never purchase another HP product. I should have listened to the reviews before I purchased this product as there were lots of bad reviews. How bad can they really be... Well I found out for myself that they are terrible. DO NOT PURCHASE AN HP PRODUCT!
Free Congo! You don't need a new phone or laptop or whatever! Don't buy a new electric car! Don't v0pe! It's not good for your health.
In short, the lies and the lack of competence with HP customer service are astounding and unacceptable! They should be ashamed! The representative lies to me and tries to sell me the wrong product. She refused to transfer me to her boss. The next morning I called back to try as buy the product and the price has increased over $500 and they refused to honor the price from the night beforeā¦even though they had the chat showing I was lied to and denied access to another representative. I've spent over 5 hours on the phone with them and still don't have a computer. Stay away from this company!
Been on hold for 45 minutes with Rosalyn at hp to get a battery replaced for the laptop
Asked for a supervisor 25 minutes ago and Also asked for the number of the battery
Still on hold with Rosalyn at hp getting jerked around
I simply need the number of the battery for the laptop
I've never been jerked around by a large company until now
Very unimpressed with the customer service from Rosalyn at hp
This conversation should have been 5 minutes not 48 minutes with out a answer
My first laptop was an HP and every laptop since. Until today. My laptop froze while watching a video on youtube. I had to do a hard restart. Then came the repair loop. Then after a restart I brought up restore but it couldn't do it. Then I tried a reset and it said the os was just gone and finally it stopped detecting the hard drive. This is the second time this has happened and I am tired of losing everything because a laptop goes from perfectly fine to trash in the blink of an eye.
We purchased a HP printer about 8 months ago and it has yet to produce one printed page. Calling tech support is the worst experience of many bad companies. It is impossible to understand the so-called tech support people., rendering it utterly useless. I will never buy another HP product.
I own 2 companies. 1w/2 printers the other 6. Most expensive no choice ink. 8 trashed! 8 New Epsons. Bravo HP.
I bought my HP Envy from Staples a few months ago. Had to call to "set it up" and talked with someone from India for 2 hours, and could barely understand them. Then talked with someone from the Philippines whom I could also barely understand. My printer now won't work with my HP desktop computer. Tried the HP Support line and, again, could not understand the lady. Asked for for an agent from the USA and was put on infinite hold. UNBELIEVABLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I am seriously astounded by the terrible service at HP. I reported a problem 6 months after I purchased my laptop. My daughter got the same laptop at the same time and it eventually developed the same problem with the trackpad and memory. They model is poorly assembled garbage.
From March to August, I sent them my laptop 3 times and the first 2 times it came back worse. I told them that I was concerned they were just going to run out the clock until the warranty expired and then try to charge me for these problems. They said that since i reported it during the warranty period, it would be fixed under warranty. They lied.
The third time I sent it in, they tried to charge me before they would accept the service request, even though the laptop was still under warranty at this point. They promised it would be fixed when I got it back. Instead of fixing it, they just kept it. I'm not joking, when they couldn't fix it they just kept it. During this time, my warranty did run out and they locked me out of my service account because I no longer had any products under warranty, so I couldn't even update the service ticket.
After repeated and increasingly angry emails and phone messages from me, I finally got an actual human on the phone. Since they couldn't fix it and refused to return it, I demanded a refund. That was 6 weeks ago and I finally got a reply. They want me to ship the laptop back to them so they can find the problem. The same laptop as they have been holding hostage for 3 months now. At this point, I think they have lost it in their service center and don't want to admit it.
They fail to mention you will be paying for life to use their piece of $#*! printer! I hardly use it so if I don't need ink as much then ya no. If you don't pay the subscription they disable ur printer that you pay 300 $ for ridiculous.
Hp has taken my privilege to print on my printer because I won't buy ink from them. I have had problems with customer service since the beginning, I SO REGRET BUY THIS HP PRINTER.
I purchased a small HP Deskjet through a major retailer. I also purchased printer ink cartridges from there as well. I don't normally print a lot but needed something especially for my son who is currently in high school. I probably should have thought twice about how much I was planning to print, but I decided to take the monthly subscription that sends you paper and ink as needed. As an incentive, the first 6 months of the subscription was minimal, then I saw it jump to about $6.50 a month! I had recently just changed the black ink cartridge to one that was sent to me by HP. HUGE MISTAKE to use my ink cartridges first as apparently their ink cartridges have a chip. When I called to cancel as I do not print enough to pay $6.50 a month, it automatically also 'stopped' the cartridges from working! So unless you plan to print a lot, I discourage you from this subscription. Or, at least do not buy your own ink cartridges and use them prior to using the ones they send you. Because of this 'chip' in the ink cartridge, I paid all these months only to have to now go buy new ink cartridges. Definitely a rip off for people like me that do not print much.
Bought a HP Pro 8025e and had an issue with the ink cartridge. Called customer support and spent more than half an hour trying to get in touch with a live person. Ended up calling sales and expressed my frustration. The representative said she'd connect me to a live person and then put me back in the queue. This is the worst experience I've had with trying to get someone to assist for a relatively easy issue and this is the last HP product I'll buy.
We had the worst experience with Hewlett Packard and I thought I would share it with you so you are forewarned. We purchased an HP printer a few years back based upon the perceived reputation of the company. We did not realize that the lower sales price we paid was due to the fact that it appears they make their money by forcing you to purchase their own overpriced ink cartridges. (If I had only read Consumer Reports sooner.) If you try to put a non-HP printer cartridge in the printer, it will not work.
We have been suffering with this problem for a few years and have probably spent about 10 times the cost of the printer on ink. Probably not smart for us. Recently, we purchased a package of replacement cartridges at Staples in the mid-afternoon. When we attempted opening the black ink cartridge we realized it was defective. It exploded when the tab was opened. We returned it to Staples and received a replacement. It too exploded. Fortunately, there was a garbage can nearby and we were able to catch most of the ink in it, although it did leave ink on the inside of my teak garbage can. We were able to clean the ink on the wood floor before it stained; however, I also noticed that my wife's blouse was covered in ink. I tried to clean it, including manually, with a spot remover and in the washing machine. It is permanently stained and ruined. Returning to Staples resulted in an even exchange and we opened the new cartridge and guess what? It also exploded. We called Staples and the sales associate said that we should perhaps buy a replacement on line. We returned it the next day and the store manager felt that perhaps we did not know how to open it. So she opened one of the cartridges in the 4-cartridge pack and it exploded as well.
We communicated to HP and surprise, surprise, no response. It is not like we cannot afford replacing a blouse or a teak trash can or the three trips to Staples, but their lack of willingness to even respond to our complaint let alone not offer compensation is frustrating.
My advice is to read Consumer Reports before you buy a printer scanner and buy a quality product that you can buy ink from vendors other than the manufacturer.
HP provides very poor service and product, very dirty and sells very damaged products to the customer and makes everyone fool, sells bad product to the customer and when they ask for a replacement, they do not give the replacement to the customer. From my side, I advise every customer who buys HP not to buy any product of HP because HP gives very dirty service and fools the customers, this has been my very bad experience.
After you purchase the product, and if you need assistance from Hp they will make you pay for technical support.
DO NOT BUY HP
I was ask to use the instant ink program and save money. My credit card got cancel and i missed two months of payments, less than $10 dollar if i need they would hold me hostage and stop my printer from working. I cancel the subscription. Then asked them how to get my printer working again and they said it was out warranty and wouldn't help I called and ask for a manager, he said all i had to do is buy over the counter cartridges, i did buy new cartridges and they tod me it had to be from HP only, not an off brand, so my printer still didn't work, They said there is a chip in the instant ink and the real HP cartridges that stop you from using a remanufactured ink. They still held me hostages.
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
