HP's reputation is increasingly marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and product reliability issues. While some customers praise the quality and reliability of HP products, particularly laptops and printers, many express frustration over unresponsive support, complicated return processes, and inadequate troubleshooting assistance. Common complaints include lengthy wait times, ineffective repairs, and a perceived lack of care for long-term customers. This growing discontent suggests a need for HP to enhance its customer service approach and address product support challenges to retain customer loyalty and improve overall satisfaction.

What a sorry excuse for a company. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing. Trying to get customer sevice on the phone line or your dedicated support person is pointless. DONT BUY HP.
Utter utter rubbish, do not buy an HP laptop. I had one and it broke under warrantee, purchased another with money from HP for damaged product plus more from my pocket and it broke again and now they won't repair it even though it is under warrantee. I have been in a dispute with them for 3 months and they just pass you from piller to post, it is impossible to complain or speak with a supervisor, avoid at all costs., utter plastic rubbish.
I've been purchasing HP laptops and printers since 2000 and in all that time, only experienced 2 issues. The first in 2001 I had a P3 laptop fail and it was serviced promptly under the warranty. Two weeks ago, I sent a ZBook Studio in for repair due to a graphics issue and it still remains unresolved even after I e-mailed the C.E.O. Though the response I received indicated that someone from the executive team would reach out, they have yet to do so. I'm very disappointed and am reticent about purchasing further HP products. They can and must do better.
The biggest pieces of s* ** you will EVER| have to deal with. If you ever DO get it working, you can be assured it will NOT work the next time you try to print anything. The HP "support?" If you ask a " negative" question, you will get the "unexpected error" message that results in your comments NOT being allowed to be posted, because they don't want to hear anything negative. Negative bots will look for "bad" words and refuse to post your review. I've dealt with TWO different H P printers. They were complete pieces of S***. However, they 're pretty much the only game in town, so I guess we'll just have to keep buying the pieces of S*** and deal with it.
You will spend 8 hours for 4 weeks trying to get customers service. No one will help you. Evading questions. Do not get hp. Nothing. You will regret it. It might work a month. Then you will spend 8 hour on the phone. They are trying to make you scream on the phone. Put you on hold 1 hour and a half. Then tell you they can't hear you when you can hear them 20 times in a row. Until you are scream. Politely ruder than rude. You have no choice because you have to talk to them. Do not buy any of these products.
The foreign customer service is horrible! Sadly, the the US executive representative Jacob condones this gross customer! His listening skills and problem solving skills are to the left of the zero on a number line! Not to mention, Jacob was combative; if he was a manager, then he's a gross representation of HP, and is extremely unscrupulous.
This is the worst purchase experience I've ever had. HP delivered my order to a wrong address, I reached out a couple of times trying to resolve their mistake in order to get my order. It's either they care less about the customer or they are incompetent. No one reached out via email or phone as they said. I was the one that kept contacting them. I finally got a call from the person where they delivered my order and drove there to pick it up. Called this morning, the supervisor was saying he is going to waive the restocking fee for me when I return as I was the one that messed up and they are doing me a favor. I will definitely take my business elsewhere and donate or give a way the laptop as I choose not to have anything to with them. Very bad taste indeed
I called HP to let them know that the printer was not connecting to the internet. Since my printer is 8 years old they do not service that and suggested i buy a new one. Why would i buy a new one, when this one prints and scans perfectly fine. Looks like HP is trying to make people buy more products for no reason by screwing them over. I will NEVER buy a HP product again if this is how they operate. Greed has taken over for them
DO NOT buy an HP Printer and then subscribe to the printer cartridge system. They cut off me having the USE of my printer because my credit card had expired - despite the fact I still have ink in my cartridges. I called and they were terrible to deal with. Never sign up for one of these scams. They told me my printer cartridges have a CHIP in them! No thanks...
I have contacted HP for problems with large format printer and the average response time has been over 2 hours. I have contacted them for my ink subscription that I pay monthly and they also do not reply to e mails and in the chat support the average response time (connection time) is well over 2 hours.
I can not understand how they can be so inefficient.
I know my next printer purchase will not be HP
I strongly recommend that anyone contemplating purchasing a printer look elsewhere. As you will not get support even if you pay for it as I have.
Tonino
OBSOLETE. That is the term HP uses to describe my perfectly fine working printer BEFORE they corrupted the online capavility.
Product breaks down as soon as it's out of warranty and then they charge you to get someone on the phone. Terrible.
Bought a laptop from HP.com less than 7 days ago, today, the same laptop was listed for $300 less. Customer Service would not refund the difference. As a long time customer ordering quite a few laptops, found this very poor service. They would not entertain swapping for a higher price laptop, credit on a future purchase or other solution. HP.com customer service communicated it would be subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned.
I bought a laptop from HP and it turned out to be defective. I sent it for repair but they could NOT fix it! Called them hundred times to replace it under warranty, but every time they made unreasonable excuses not to replace it. Obviously, they only waste you time until your warranty is over and they get rid of responsibility. Bottom-line, DO NOT buy HP, or you will lose your money, time, and temper!
For now my experience is not that bad but I can see by reviews, other were not that lucky. I am giving 4 stars because I think price for my laptop was a little to high. I am using laptop a lot, on daily basics, for my work and personal stuff and works really good, no bugs, really fast what was super important for me!
I bought and HP Officejet Pro 6978 and had it less than 6 months and the printhead went bad. It was still under waranty. I called tech support and was told to send the printer back for a replacement. I sent it on the 2nd of December, they received it on the 5th of December. Called today to see where my replacement was, and have to call again tomorrow for an update. I was told that I should have received it on the10th. Still waiting. How do I get my printer?
I bought my HP 2 years and 2 months ago. My warranty ran out at the two year point. Woke up this morning and got blue screen and it will not turn on. An hour and half on horrible connected call where the tech person could not hear me no I hear him off and on. LOST EVERYTHING AND COMPUTER IS DEAD. Horrible! I will never buy an HP computer again!
I've had several HP printers in the past. The last one I had stopped powering on after a few years so we replaced it. We bought the HP Envy 6458e. The is hands down the most frustrating printer I've ever had. It constantly disconnects from the WIFI and every time I try to use it I get an "unavailable" message. The only way I've been able to get it to work is to hide the printer and then set it up again in the app. I have to do this EVERY SINGLE TIME I print. Same problem again Except this time the printer won't even show on the available printers list. What is so hard about a printer just printing something from the HP Smart app? This piece of junk is going back. I've owned it for about 4 months and not once has it been easy to use. Setup was even difficult and I'm a tech savvy person.
Had issues with my x32 qhd monitor. Was just trying to download a driver which i waited an HOUR for it to load but it never did and then I was on a call with the for 4 HOURS and nothing is resolved. In fact, now I can't even adjust my brightness anymore after lenovo tech support helped me update the drivers. All they did was push the blame and refer me to their "smartfriends" program which is paid and a literal joke. I don't understand why I have to pay to fix their issue. Customer service is terrible. Never buying this again.
I purchased a product during one of their online sales. The order failed after the sale had ended. I contacted their customer support team to try and fix, find, or reinstate my order. They told me the sale had ended and there was nothing to do. They expected me to repurchase it at the normal price. When I asked to speak to the supervisor they repeated what the previous representative said and before I could reply hung up the phone. Would rate zero if I could.
Answer: Impossible by phone since at least December 2023. ( May be before)
Answer: I'm old and remember the HP of 20 years ago. Boy has time changed this company.
Answer: Lenovo is similar to HP, though the performance of Lenovo's computers is complete crap, the upside to it is that they at least have good service.
