The company's reputation is mixed, with notable strengths in product quality and delivery efficiency, as many customers express satisfaction with their purchases and the overall aesthetic appeal of items. However, significant concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly in handling issues related to delivery options, billing disputes, and product defects. Customers frequently report difficulties in reaching support and receiving timely resolutions, leading to frustration. While some patrons appreciate the extensive product selection and smooth purchasing experience, the inconsistency in service responsiveness and problem resolution highlights areas for improvement in their customer service approach.

Have tried too many times to get through to anyone. Press 1 for, press 2 for etc.
This gets you no where except right back to the automated "press 1 for. Forget it, I'll shop else where, don't want to risk a negative experience.
My wife and I ordered two Classic brands adjustable Twin XL beds that will go with memory foam matresses. We found the best price on Houzz, our order was processed quickly and delivered within five days. We have put the first bed together and it is wonderful. RW
Tooks weeks to get answers regarding a damaged item and the return/replacement and then, got all the wrong answers. Customer service at this company is basically non existent. Have spent a lot with their company but never again!
Hill Air Heating and Air Conditioning responded within 30 minutes of my call to restore heat to my home. The Technician was very professional and efficient. My husband had always used Hill Air in the past for furnace issues and was always pleased with their work. I plan to contact them in the spring when I need an estimate to replace another AC and furnace in an addition to the original house. Very pleased!
These people, and their suppliers, artisan pillows, sent me two sets of pillow cases for $98. Not pillow, not pillow cases and inserts, just the pillow cases. Their website is confusing, to say the least. I would never have ordered just the cases. There are cases available at MUCH LOWER COST elsewhere on the internet. When I called, they basically said it was my fault, and would do nothing to resolve my problem, and they'd have to be in touch with their supplier to get a return request processed. So, I'll never do business with them again, and I'd strongly recommend no one else ever be a customer of theirs. On top of all that it took almost two weeks to get my package of things I didn't order, and in that time I got at least an email everyday, telling me how much they wanted me to buy. STAY AWAY. They're thieves. I'd give them no stars, but the ratings section doesn't work that way.
Terrible customer service. Ordered a rug, 5 Dec. Supposed to be delivered to DC, from NY by 15 Dec. 2 Jan now and still no rug, just lies and BS from Houzz. Do yourself a favor and find stuff someplace else and give someone else your money. I will never make this mistake again.
I wish I could give Houzz ZERO stars. An absolutely worthless, inefficient, bait and switch distribution company! It's simple to make a purchase, but when it comes to returning an item, next to impossible. Even finding a phone number to make a return is extremely difficult. On a scale of 1 to 100, I'd give Amazon a 100 and Houzz a 1. Don't waste your time and money with this outfit. Merchandise is not as described, customer service is essentially non-existent, communication is really poor, and on and on and on.
I ordered in plenty of time for delivery for Christmas. Product did not arrive when Houzz said, and actually still hasn't arrived. Customer Service said they couldn't figure out who the shipper was but would call me back. No call back, no email, so I called the next day for an update and was told they don't know anything. They are not the manufacturer or seller. That they are only the distributor and don't have any info for me but try to track some info down for me. In other words, they don't care.
Diego Garcia and his crew at Bodagger Builders, Ventura, CA, took a 1958 house and that needed some updating and made it into a show-stopping, mid-century, gorgeous home. The workers were kind, efficient, proficient, and their craftsmanship was exact and perfect. When I expressed a wish or desire for something to be changed or added, Diego and his foremen, listened to me and then would offer an opinion why it might not work or what else might be better etc. They always said if I wanted something they would make sure I got it. The project was completed in a timely manner, only a few weeks beyond the target date. Diego periodically did a walk through to check on the quality and progress. Diego was very up front explaining to me costs, permits, information about materials etc. All the crew worked very well with the designer. This could have been a very stressful process but Diego and his crew did their best to take the stress away and make it into a fun learning process. I highly recommend Bodagger Enterprises Inc. You will love the process and the outcome.
I put an order of tiles through Houzz. My estimated arrival was given to me as a window. I called them the day the order was put through to expedite this order, someone said they would return my call. They never did. I called them several times and finally I was told they know the order hasn't left the vendor yet. My window of arrival was that day. They seem very incompetent and unable to give you a clear idea of when the order would arrive. They should not be in online order business. Terrible support and service. If you need your order to arrive on a timely manner, do not order through Houzz, you will never know where your order is or when it will get to you.
I ordered garden furniture and almost 3 weeks later after making numerous calls it is still on the truck being delivered to the middle of the street by my house. According to HOuzz they have nothing to do with it since they are third party seller and the company shipping the merchandise had set up for CURB SIDE delivery.
Beware if you are ordering from this site, you must be healthy and able to lift at least 150 pounds since they just drop things in the street near your house and they can't deliver to your driveway.
Horrible experience, never again will I order from this site!
I wished I had read these reviews before using Houzz. Have only used their apps and it looks cool, but once we ordered something, we found out they are a horrible company. We ordered a bed on their site which took over 2 months to get delivered. We had to call multiple times to get a delivery date. When the bed finally came today, the frame was broken! We will have to deal with returning it and will get a refund. Horrible customer service and product delivery. Do not use this company!
I have ordered five different times from this company in hopes each time they would get it right. However, they fell short each time. They have deceptive practices. Be very careful when dealing with this company. Never expect to get anything until weeks after the due date.
Not only was my initial order defective, I specifically asked that I be sent the replacement piece for the defective footboard urgently as I had disassembled my previous bed and was without a bed. This wasn't expedited however. Not only that but there was a shipping delay. I was without a bed for over 3 weeks. Not only that but when I received the item the quality was poor and the bed broke the very first night of having it assembled. I definitely won't be ordering from houzz again, no offer to try and remedy the situation in any way. Pretty poor customer service if you ask me, not to mention product quality. Do yourself a favor, pay the extra few dollars to order from another more reputable company, you will save yourself weeks of headaches.
Had $1000 item in cart to order during "cyber week sales". Had a question for customer service, couldn't get through due to time zone differences. About to call next day only to see see price in cart had changed by $350! This is midweek! Immediately called and explained, thinking there would be no problem to honor the price. Almost a week later, with me calling daily, I was told my request to honor the initial price was denied. Very unfair and false advertising! $
Order a kitchen in January paid £2000 deposit to Campbell still no kitchen, no answers no money don't be stupid like me don't order from them or lose your money this is a scam.
Do not buy here. Im so pissed paid 1800 for a whole living room set. And have not got it yet. Its been over 2 months I called haven't got no respond. Found out they company is fraud.
I purchased two patio chairs through Houzz. The vendor is Patio Retreat. The chairs arrived but the wrong bolts were included and the chairs could not be assembled. I emailed Houzz and sent pictures. The vendor's first reaction was to blame me for putting the wrong bolts in the wrong holes. I responded by email to Houzz. Eventually, the vendor agreed to send the correct bolts. Unfortunately, they sent enough bolts for only one chair. It is now 5 weeks later and the second set of bolts has yet to arrive. If this had been Amazon.com, the entire matter would have been resolved and I would have received the correct bolts in a week or less. Houzz needs to improve its customer service. Houzz could start by discontinuing any product from the vendor Patio Retreat.
Very Frustrated with Houzz Customer Service! Ordered a breakfast nook (About $1,700) for my mother September 8 and it was finally shipped in November. I paid for the shipping and white glove delivery. When it was delivered my mom and the person delivering it noticed a defect in the table around the edges. My mother refused to accept the delivery and it was sent back. Since the time of delivery till now (still waiting for Marnie from Houzz to respond) I have not been refunded. They Do not want to refund the full amount I paid and are saying that the 3rd party where they purchased the table is seeing no defects in the item. Well of course the company would say that? They don't want to lose money off their delivery or shipment! Houzz should take responsibility and stop beating around the bush and refund me my entire money. I have never had to hunt down my refund when an item has been returned, but I feel I have to with Houzz. It's very unprofessional and feel that this type of unsatisfactory customer service will affect them significantly. I've already searched for Houzz reviews and there are numerous complaints about Houzz not fully refunding ppl for damaged items. In my opinion that is not okay and don't think that anyone should have to experience this. Houzz also has a difficult time returning phone calls (after you have explained the issue 5 times)... no return of phones calls! I just want to be fully refunded for what I paid and this entire issue could have been avoided if they had better customer service. I guess I just wish I never bought from them in the first place.
No phone number-sent unauthorized item thru 3rd party vendor and are making me pay for shipping to return
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!
Answer: Go straight to the top at Houzz. Ms. Adi Tatarko, CEO, Alon Cohen, Pres. If tha doesn't work, I suggest you file complaint with the Consumer Affairs Division of the California Attorney General's Office.
Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!
Answer: Steer clear. The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
