HostGator (866-96-GATOR) is a leading provider of web hosting, VPS and dedicated servers. Discover why over 9,000,000 websites trust us for their hosting needs.
Overall, the company has established a reputation for providing reliable services and competitive pricing, with many customers noting ease of use and effective technical support. However, concerns regarding customer service persist, particularly related to inconsistent support experiences and delays in response times. While some users have had positive interactions with knowledgeable representatives, others reported frustrations with unresolved issues and inadequate communication. Despite these challenges, a significant number of long-term customers express satisfaction and loyalty, indicating that while improvements in customer service are needed, the core offerings are generally well-regarded.

The hosting service is very good, economical and the support excellent
I'm trying to find the invoice for my domain renewal
Customer service is heavenly, they are so quick amazingly helpful and solutions every time. I don't have to call 12 times. One time = resolution
I am sure there is more room for improvement. Nothing is perfect if that make sense.
Don't remember, been a long time. I really dislike the new interface though which is why you get 4 starts instead of 5.
I had used it for our tcaware and blueindigosky companies but something has happened to blueindigoskey.com hosted by HostGator. It is no longer accessible. Makes me reconsider our decision with sacocraphy.com.
Trouble, trouble, trouble. Even attempted to transfer the domain to another host, but our DNS record stayed behind. Everything is shut down for my business. No website. No email. Awesome.
Good pricing, planning on being a long-time customer because the support has been phenomenal.
Not happy with backup and also support I am getting
The combination of your excellent [human associate] customer service (so far), quality solutions, and your competitive pricing.
Good for the goose is good for the gander. That's all.
You owe me about $500 because I did not receive what you advertised - because after I signed up you say that the offer only applied to US / Canadians (you said nothing about that in your ads),
Second, when I log in I am met with a huge advert asking me to sign up for some "privacy" protection which is essentially a scam, it is not needed. And then you do EVERYTHING you can to make me miss-click, ordering that scam by mistake.
I do not know how you would think that the above is taking care of your customers.
I received a notice this morning of a service (code guard basic) being expired. There was no mention of which domain(s) that particular codeguard was for. Now I am going to spend a lot of time looking around your site which is incredibly difficult to navigate to try to find out which of the domains it is for which I need to do to determine if it needs to be renewed.
The only thing that get me a bit confused is that I have activated all of my site protections and on each login I am greeted with the your sites are not protected screen and it asks me whether I want to proceed with site protection for a fee or not.
I don't know. Thought I could make a website but dns and ssh settings are not working
They are low cost. But they have screwed up my WordPress and email for the last month. 10 hours on the phone and they still don't have it configured correctly, but after 2 weeks with the site down, it is working at least
I hate the new website. I can't ever find anything. I don't understand why you're constantly asking for my card for every domain. I used to love it when you cared about your customers.
I'm unable to increase my disc space and rep is not helping
I lost money during the Hostgator server upgrades that started a few years ago. All of my sites were compromised when the switch happened and I was told I would have to pay $399 per site to recover.
(1) Many years ago, some programs used to show where you were within the "tree-structure map". Like every other modern site, you fail to do this, so one easily gets lost (like looking for a street-address in an unfamiliar area, in dense.
Fog). (2) Just now I keyed in my definitely-correct password twice: It was not rejected; but there was no move forward -- just the offer of "forgotten password". Instead, I started again from scratch, and DID get through at last; but that was just one of those extra annoyances.
(3) I couldn't see how to finish this. In default, I pressed "Chat" -- but that seems to be a separate issue [which I may come back to later -- (or now if I can't escape!)]. OK I've found "SUBMIT" (out of sight below the screen).
Answer: SITEGROUND FIXED IN HOURS WHAT HOSTGATOR DID NOT OR COULD NOT FIX IN 9 DAYS
Answer: The chat will get you to someone but they will never know what to do to help you. Courteous but useless.
