Our professor thought we could have several subdomains under our one domain as we are learning how to use wordpress and so he asked us to use hostgator. However, with the new update, not everyone in our class is able to use several subdomains. Now we are all stuck with this host. While I can, my classmate next to me who bought the subscription a week later can't. Plus, we've run into some slowdowns because of host gator while trying to learn and my teacher hasn't been impressed with this service. You do seem have knowledgeable tech support, just wish I didn't need their help as often as I've had to lately.
You are horrible. Three chats to solve a simple issue, fix details of an invoice. And what is worst, it seems I speak to the walls, not to humans.

Your service is horrible. I have not been able to resolve a refund issue that has been going on for 8 months now. I am looking for an alternative hosting service. Host Gator let me account get hacked and has not corrected the error.
The redesign is terrible. Finding the zone editor takes way more effort than it should.
It was a good deal and the costumer support was responsive but that is no longer that case. The costumer support is lacking and not always friendly and on several occasions I have been routed to bluehost after waiting oh hold for 30 mins only to be told that they handle host gator overflow but can not help with host gator issues.
I will always choose HostGator because of its Perfect Customer support system. Since 2015 I've always trusted HostGator because of this.

Because it seemed better than GoDaddy at the time. Then the price doubled by 200% and the portal is impossible to navigate. I'm changing providers soon. Which is a pitty because I'm about to inherit the largest community on the internet. You would have made tons of money eventually.

Because I thought they were reliable, but I was wrong! They are one of the most expensive and if they suspend your website for even 1year and you don't use it, when you want to reactivate your account you will have to pay for all the period they had suspended your website as well which they will not tell you until you have made payment! This is total fraud!
Honestly HostGator sucks. I can not access sometimes to c_Panel so can not upload my assignment on it on time. Recently it does'n work nicely for me

Unfortunately, the hosting changes now restrict me to only three websites on the Business plan that I have been using for years. It took me three years to establish californiahomerealty.com, and now I am unable to create additional websites. As a result, the new WordPress website I started building is currently displaying a blank page.
Been having issues with the website all afternoon the chat support is overwhelmed and slow to respond. Not the service I have grown to expect from HostGator, very disappointing.
