Never used a hosting company, so pricing attracted me.
We have two domains through hostgator and I can never access the second one via cpanel email - it will always go to the first account which should be 100% separate from the second but when I click email panel it doesn't go to the correct one
This transfer has not been very seamless and I am Still, a month and a half later, having issues with DNS records, POP, Domain... Yeah... not been the best.
Your service team is not knowledgeable and your platform does not work for DNS a and cname records! It's a real problem. I will be switching off to another platform.

I choose them for the price but now I realise it was not a good idea. I have also found other companies with better prices since then but now my websites were built here and I can't move them.
I originally chose HostGator because it had a competitive price for the features it provided. That is no longer the case, as HostGator has jacked its prices up nearly 50% over just the past couple years, plus when I tried to ask for a price match with a hosting service offering the exact same features at half the cost, not only did HostGator decline to do this but I have been receiving an EXCESSIVE amount of direct advertising to my inbox from HostGator since, typically receiving about 3~5 such ads a week, asking me to spend even MORE money I don't have on HostGator services. As such, I will be switching from HostGator to another provider in May, three months ahead of my site's automatic renewal in August.
