My website performance is very slow. Tech support has not been very helpful. They almost seem reluctant to help. Getting information is like pulling teeth sometimes.
And that stupid chat button is so annoying. Everytime I login to the portal, that chat window opens up and covers the content of the screen. There is no way to minimize that window.
It is so hard to find my cPanel. I am here infrequently, but when I need to access it the new interface just really keeps me going in circles. So sad.
I am not paying HostGator to fix something their auto updates messed up! My site was not published and it was not ready for updates to any theme. And if I wanted all the plugins I would have installed them myself! Now I am deleting my entire site to get a different theme that will not have the capabilities that I know I am going to be needing down the line. I know eventually I will need a shopping cart but that is 6 months to a year down the road it belongs in unpublished pages and not in a menu when I only need 4 pages at the moment... HOME About Books and Blog The other pages need to be available for a later date you choose a theme based upon your needs but smart people do not publish a site with a cart they wont need for 6 months to a year and they do not choose a theme that has 3 pages when they know that their site is a work in progress and will need pages they can not add later. I paid for a year of hosting for a reason and if I was not capable of building a home page an about page linking books from amazon to a books page and writing blog posts I would have hired you to do that... But at this time i do not need contact forms or a shopping cart and i do not have services to provide those are things that will come in time and when they do the theme I chose has them available to add. If I wanted my site broken I would not have chosen the theme I chose i would have chosen a theme with 4 pages and not planned ahead. And to tell me that you have no back up of my site from the last 2 weeks and that I have to pay 50 $ to fix what your auto updates caused issues with is ridiculous! If I wanted auto updates I would have turned them on myself I had 4 plugins and that is all I needed at the moment but your updates added plugins and things I am not ready for I am not at all happy with HostGator and I made that perfectly clear to the representative in chat and I will not give a 5 star rating for nothing! And if I wanted to leave a review i would have stayed in chat and done so I hate pop ups asking for something They do not deserve!@$ & Support is a joke it is a chat bot and a consultant that does nothing when they are contacted!
I chose hostgator for its simplicity and already integrated website builders, now they are not available. I bought the business suite so i could have a store, ever since the upgrade i can no longer use the integrated website builder and i have to pay more to have the store that i already paid for.
Where did the billing section go? I have been unable to access my invoices and thus haven't been able to be reimbursed. The old portal was better.

Dexter Y. Was able to sift through all of the unprofessional activity I experienced from representatives and a supervisor 03/13/2024. Not logging my call information, Support did not forward the case number they sent to me to the customer service dashboard or I was told it did not exist. Both agents + the supervisor tried to up-sale me to a product I did not need in the VPN. But Dexter Y. Got on the phone, listened to my problem, calmed my nerves and proceeded to fix the problem I was ready to pursue with an Attorney for support. That deserves 5 stars - I have been paying fo this account for 21 years and it's the first time I felt truly upset with the service. THANK YOU DEXTER!

Because of the good ratings it had but I have been having an issue with email and logging in that Ineed to get addressed by IT.

Literally terrible customer service follow up for a customer of over 7 years
I have nothing but trouble with the website. It's constantly trying to sell me something and it's never the same. I'm trying to find my control panel so I can manage my site. There's no way to find it here. And using my iPad I can't sign in without remembering my user name and entering it in which sucks.
I have credit card charges that don't have invoices. I've contacted support three times already and can't get this sorted out. Also, I have invoices with wrong details on them. I've asked for this to be fixed but have been told that invoices that have already ben generated cannot be changed. This is total nonsense.
