I have been dealing with HostGator for nearly five years, high security, fast technical support service
I used to pay $4.95/mo on a 3 year deal, now I am WAY more. You have been robbing me for the past year.
I think this newer system of Hostgator creating a temporary site for me - totally sucks! I have built 53 websites and this site has become a big pain in my neck. Sure would have been nice to sign up for hosting, download WordPress my site and then build it...by myself instead of all this temporary...and done for me garbage. I'll try one more time. If I can't get it going I'll move it to BlueHost.
There is no explanation that the $14.95 privacy is PER DOMAIN It is bait and switch marketing. It was not until I pressed buy now that I was provided with the fact that I had just paid $14.95 X 10 for 10 domains. It is NOT clear! Very slick / poor marketing!
Why do you always keep increasing the prices for baby? I am always paying a new increased price. What the $#*! is going on
Been using Host Gator for (I believe) about 15 years. Prior to that, I've tried a number of other hosting businesses, and they all have fallen short of HostGator.
Support sucks! I have asked for help for the last 47 hours and have received NONE! I give up and after being with Hostgator since 2006, I have quit Hostgator and went to the GreenGeeks webhosting serivce.
We are so confused and cannot figure out how to build our website. We have a hostgator account and purchased our domain. Not happy. Not happy at all. Cannot get into disruptiveresources to save our lives and add content. Complete waste of time and money. Not happy
Charging (or double charging) for what used to be free add-ons in the past, barely intellible customer service outsourcing, impossible to navigate accounts page, etc. Far cry from what HG used to be ten years ago.
I have been on the phone for 2 days trying to get my website back up with no luck.
It takes multiple calls to resolve any issue. Reps open my email after I tell them no, and then managers don't call back so I don't know if I have to send breach data to my clients. Your tech supports sends me screenshots of my site saying it is "up for them" and disregard me when I say your DNS and Nameservers are not showing the website available globally. Your tech support seems to give the opinion that because my website is available locally in the Philippines', it is not their problem to resolve the problem of my site being down elsewhere because of bogus DNS records and your managers don't return calls. I have had over 10 calls trying to get my website functional due to missing DNS records, and now the email violation without permission. Avoid using HostGator. Go elsewhere.
Transfering the website has been difficult. I think I was just charged and entered a 3 year contract which I didn't want. The price was 179 a year. So, that's annoying
Really wish you had video tutorials around every feature
I chose HostGator following positive recomendations from youtube advertising. However, after having a very affordable 1 year introductory offer, the price suddenly increased from roughly 40$ to 240$. I tried complaining via live chat and my conversations were ended with no follow up whatsoever to my complaints. No reward or incentive for loyal customers wanting to renew, this company thrives off of new customers not aware that their price increases very steep after the offer is over. I tried asking for another introductory offer and I was told no, tried escalating my complaint and never heard anything back. Poor staff and poor experience. I'm just glad I cancelled my auto renewal before I was charged a rediculous price, it's a shame because I would have renewed again had I been offered the same price for another year.
Horrible treatment after 20 years.you deleted my websites without warning
The server is not always working keep shutting off not good
Its very User friendly and customer supporting services
It feels like the company was boutgh by a different group, the current technical support is simply awful. They pretend they care.
I AM NOT HAPPY. That's all I have to say. I have been paying HG to protect my personal information. Now, today, I find out that I do not have this protection anymore.
I've used hostgator before and have always had a very good experience with them. Also support has always been excellent
Answer: SITEGROUND FIXED IN HOURS WHAT HOSTGATOR DID NOT OR COULD NOT FIX IN 9 DAYS
Answer: The chat will get you to someone but they will never know what to do to help you. Courteous but useless.
