I read on reviews the service was reliable, it takes forever to solve a problem with customer agent and I'm paying for this service. Same question multiple times, and going on rounds.
You sent me an email saying my domain"MJStumpf.com" expires 4/24 and that the credit card had expired, which it had. But when I logged on to my account the web page said the domain registration expires in 2025. Which one was correct? (I don't know myself, but I should be able to rely on your systems to agree with each other... 2024 vs 2025.) And $22 to renew for a year... crush the little guy!
Also I got a notice from my credit card that my "Baby" hosting had renewed at $203. Ouch! It's gone up that much... and no explanation. After 10 plus years with you, I'm not happy. *******@optonline.net

Was okay in that I have a working and attractive website. Less than satisfied with lack of clarity for a layman trying to set it up. Still lack some features like communication links and blogs separate from normal web content.
HostGator needs a VAST improvement in their invoicing process. One would expect that clicking on EXPORTING invoices would download them to a USABLE file! Like csv - but no, the export just PRINTS the files in a tedious repetitive and wholly unusable dump.
Pop email and NOT Microsoft 365 or Google as backoffice. Like most other providers are moving to Though I am considering switching hosting providers over the jump in prices for my plan since that is a 56% increase for me to keep my current features with no value add. Even though paying in advance reduces that bill overall if feels like I am being pushed into a corner. No it is not a ton of money but every dollar counts in this economy and it is only one of many things in my life that now costs more.
When I first started with hostgator, the ability to add "A" records and it almost immediately allowed the user to connect to the device using the hostname on the web was incredible, something happened, it has gotten slower but faster than most.
We have waited over 2 months for our account to be reset so we can get our outgoing email working again. Everytime we call the answer is "24-28 hours" someone will get back with you...no one does.
