More reliable than the last, but Siteground is making me want to switch. If the next time I need to make a client's website more robust and Hostgator tell me I need a VPS account when Siteground is so willing to modify a basic account. So 4 stars and not 5 stars for that reason.
Where is the statement of account. You ask for money, but i don't see any statement here showing what i owe, or why i owe it. Very poor web design!
Our email stopped working without any warning that we were over our storage. We had to switch to a different company after no help from Host Gator.

I took over a website that was already associated with host gator
Feels like the log in experience changes constantly. Information I need feels like it's hidden and always difficult to find. It hasn't always been like this. When I joined Host gator my experience was much better. But a few years ago price went up massively and support and user experience became much more negative experience. Each year I consider leaving but it feels too difficult to do so. So I stay and I feel trapped.
The best provider ever literally, anytime i have an issue, i gwt my issue resolved so fast and iin minutes thru the live chat. U guys are the best i swear. Even in my freelancing projects i use you is the best recommended option
I know the brand. I like the brand. You guys are hard working techs and reps. I think you are cool.
Worst new portal design. Many bugs :(
1. No option to set a manual discount option like before.
2. Service gets suspended within 2 days after expiry. This is not good and move many customers out of hostgator. Atleast 30 days should have been allowed.
3. After payment, it takes 30-45 mins for the service like hosting to be re-activated which is not acceptable. We are in 2024 and this should be instant.
4. Renewal center still shows all expired services.
5. No option to submit cancellation request.
Awful platform and prices are very high compared to your competition. Thinking of switching soon
I have been trying to update my website for the past month, I dont get any support or feedback when I log a ticket. I have logged a ticket 3 times already. I have been with hostgator from 2016 but the service is very bad in the last year.
For the option that I can chat in real-time with someone.

Now there are a lot of issues like SSL issue, a smaller package, and the website not working now, I logged in to check with the support
It appears it was a mistake to do so as I can never get anyone to solve the many problems that I have been having since joining your hosting plan. It's been a complete, miserable mess.
Hostgator used to be perfect. 3 things have changed my mind, and why I will not be recommending HostGator to anyone. 1) I paid my $8.99 monthly fee for a long time, then all of a sudden, with no warning, my plan went to $21.99. I contact customer service...and they act nonchalant about it, like it was a natural occurrence. 2) My files are deleted. I did not delete them myself, I went to check my portfolio one day, and it's gone. I log in, and I have no files at all. I contact customer service, and I get no explanation, but an e-mail a couple of days later saying I'll have to pay $50 to get it all back. What?! 3) This one is more nitpicky, but still...It's a burden on a customer. I hate MFA...and the pin that I need to chat about my account isn't easy to remember. I try to make it easy, but there's too many rules for the pin. What's wrong with *******? Nothing! I had to make it to something I'd never think of. Then spend extra time in chat figuring it out.
When I originally paid for the server, it was only about $2 for the baby account with virtually unlimited space and bandwidth and unlimited websites. I had a horrible time with customer service multiple times. It took over 2 months to "figure out an issue" for a domain that was giving problems. Now, I'm limited to the amount of websites I can have, limited on storage. I just don't want to deal with that kind of service again, especially after being limited when I was never limited before.
The service received was adequate for the issues we were going through.
