They used to be good but now are horrible. They set me up on hosting that was incompatible with WordPress. Then they charged me for different hosting that they said would work better. So I cancelled the first hosting and built my website. A month later when the first website dropped-off my account my newly built website disappeared. They told me it was a nameserver issue, so I changed the nameservers. When the site did not reappear they offered to restore from backup for a $50 fee. When they restored from backup, no website!
I am now looking at re-building my client's website again from the start. I will never do business with these idiots again!

I was expecting email saying they fixed it. My site has been having 'virus' issues for some time now & I spoke with someone who said they were escalating the issue. I have yet to hear of a resolution. If you can have someone email me ASAP and leave a number for me to call I would like that.
The instructions for the various things in your help section are not descriptive enough. I think you, as well as any company with a help section, by looking at the company Blue Iris's help section. A complete novice can use it to master their product. Tha'ts how it should always be.

I am a hostgator reseller and I have been one for over 15 years. I DREAD having to contact support when I have a problem. First Level knows NOTHING ABOUT ANYTING. Completely untrained and unable to read English, they ask me the same questions over and over then tell me they need to escalate it to Tier 2 which is 24 to 48 hours... which is a lie, its more like 5 -14 days. Im out - this last one today was the last straw and IM moving my reselleer sites somewhere else. Its like I am chatting with 12 year olds who have no computer experience

Unlike some other website hosting companies, HostGator's customer service helpline is easy to get through and the wait time is very reasonable. That is a HUGE PLUS for me! Customer support team is helpful and most importantly, knowledgeable — they're always ready to listen and help to problem solve issues.
