I have an issue where if I upload a file it saves with a 0664 permission. It should be saving as an 0644 permission. I'm being told it's my issue because the admin can upload with an 0644 permission. I have not been able to find anything on my end and I will try reaching out for help again. But it's frustrating when I'm just being told that it's on my end. The only thing that has changed on my end is that I moved to a new server and ever since being on the new server I have this issue.
I have had a some issues with host gator email, navigation isn't the easiest, and logging in trips sometimes

Looks like things have changed and I don't care for that. You required I made a pin with 6 numbers yet I already had one with 4 numbers so it was confusing and now I have to hunt for stuff after getting assaulted by ads.
Because Andrew Warner recommends you. The reason for the 3 stars is because you always display the same offer at the beginning and I always have to click that I don't want it (in the small link at the bottom), and because the new layout is not very straightforward. Although I haven't need all the options, I don't know where thew whole cPanel is. I have just found the phpMyAdmin, file manager, and the app installer.
My experience with HostGator has gone downhill over the last year and a half. Specifically when it comes to technical support and live chat. The wait time for chat is extremely long compare to when I first got my subscription. And once I finally get someone, I have to CONSTANTLY REPEAT the issue I am currently experiencing. The responses take a long time, and its very short unnecessary things. I prefer to get straight to the point. Sometimes chats will terminate while I am waiting on the agent to respond then have to start all the way from the beginning which is ridiculously irritating and time consuming. I am also HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with the hosting package capabilities. I was under the impression by the info giving to me by those in sales that this plan would be great considering it offered UNLIMITED WEBSITES, and would work well for the types of sites I would be building. However the 4 sites I have created are above the file limit for the plan. Nothing was properly explained, and now I will eventually have to switch to dedicated hosting. I don't appreciate games. I was told the number of files wouldn't be an issue if I were building small one page websites...I RUN A BUSINESS. I need business level power behind my websites and HostGator has really let me down.
Cpanel user and it's pretty easy so i continue. Support is great and no problems...
