I used HG in the past and returned now after a few years away. It is now a complicated process to do what I need to do on a daily basis. Seems I am unable to log directly into cPanel but instead have to go through the account pages. I will continue for now as I have paid for a year but will probably look for a different provider again in future.

Bad customer support, and now high prices... I have now 2 months trying to figure it out an error on my wp site, theme developers says is the server and hosting customer support the theme issues... but the lock of knowledge from their team cannot even help me find out "the why"... I used to have another hosting provider for sure I won't be here soon...

For more than 10 years, I have been a Hostgator customer and they have always solved all my needs, and helped me boost my projects.
Since you made the updated Portal interface. It sucks. $#*! this! A $#*!ing ad every time I sign on. And the cPanel Email directs to the wrong email account. I have to go to the "manage" button first, then to cPanel Email... Why the $#*! did you change? I hope God still loves you... but, I seriously doubt it.
Terrible change to portal. It requires extra clicks to do the same thing as before. Type name on one page, then password on 2nd page, then phone code on third page, then your irritating garbage shoving $4.99 sale offer EVERY bloody time, to click on Continue to get to the main page, THEN click on Email, then click on top option and click on Check, then scroll and click on email address, then click on Check Email, then scroll and click on Box Trapper, then click review, then click on,... NIGHTMARE UX. HORRIBLE.
2 months trying to transfer a domain from GoDaddy to HostGator... It's unbelievable that something that easy became a pain in the *ss

Very confusing options, little functionality, I have had to delete two sites because they do not operate correctly with Softaculous.

Your interface has changed, and it's crap. So MUCH HARDER to find things and get anything done. I'll start looking for a new service soon.
I loved Hostgator until they change the interface after log-in. It appears they attempted to "fix" something that wasn't broken and added unnecessary screens/procedures to get to the section you are seeking.
I like hostgator but I do not like when hostgatro changes my account settings. It is ilegal for hostgator to change my account settings. I do not and will not pay bills if they are on autopay. I do not and will not pay those bills. If hostgator wants to delete those services be my guest! We monitor this account.
Nothing works with the new system change, more than 5 open tickets without a solution, we are migrating everything to hostinger, we have more than 20 services with your company that will be migrated
I don't remember why I chose HostGator. I do remember it being easier to get to cPanel before your recent changes, though.

You have changed the login process and it is an absolute pain in the $#*! now. Please go back to the old login process.
I have had a number of issues with email that was set up by hostgator, and have had very mixed results getting those issue resolved. It's been really frustrating - "We made a mistake... it will take a few days to fix. No you won't know what emails you missed and no compensation unless the system is down..." for example. I have a sense of uneasiness about whether things will work properly.
My emails keep bouncing. I have called customer service twice and the problem keeps happening.
