Both my websites are having security issues. I had to rebuild my entire website again once, and now my primary website is infected. Hostgator agent logged a ticket and said i will be reached out by the technical person, but no one is helping me.
The steps needed to get from logging in to the part of the website I want to access is just more than needed. After passing on any advertisement that is in my face the first time I log in, it should be avoided the next thirty times I log in. I should be able to log in and immediately be on my home page without being slapped in the face with an advertisement or pushing of products every single time.
The new overall experience is bad, things were much better before the recent changes. I'm a long time user and now everything changed but not for good, at least on my humble opinion.
HG was great several years ago. Now, every time something is changed in their end my site breaks. Then they blame me. Days to fix. Tired of spending time fixing their mistakes. CSR does not understand issue. Language issues. Took my site and domain elsewhere.
Information is hard to find. Layout and navigation is pretty confusing. Lot of things related to billing that were available before like previous orders etc is now gone. The site seems geared more now towards marketing of products rather than customer service.
Phone system down, cannot call; was disconnected in chat on 1/8/2024 when the rep was supposed to restore our website.
Cheap and easy to use. Now you've changed it. I will be looking elsewhere

Because service was fine until this year (2024). When re-uploading files to the server that "mysteriously" disappeared after being available to my users last year, contacting chat and then phoning, absolutely no explanation was provided by your service personnel. Really disappointing... BTW, I spent all day yesterday re-compressing files and uploading to fanny-crosby.org/downloads, which you can see progressing by checking that folder. But now I am getting an error message preventing further uploads, claiming that the "server is full"! Yesterday I checked and I was utilizing about a third of my allocated 997 Gb in all of my domain and subdomains combined. Did you hire new folks to administer the servers? This really sucks.

Since I've noticed that you have been charging me way more than what was your price for the previous (many) years, I have been trying to move away from you HostGator (as many thousands of other customers are).

We have used Hostgator for over 10 years and use to get 1Tb storage with unlimited sites on our hosting packages. Now we are getting limited storage and websites. You are no different than Blue Hosting to be honest. This is making us now look at alternatives as we might not be with Hostgator for another 10 years as you change things
