Have been dealing with several Hostgator Agents via phone conversations for albout 2 weeks about issues with my incoming and outgoing email not working and it still has NOT been resolved.
First your robot help asks that I give the reason for connecting. So I write it out. Then your agent connects and asks what they can do for me? Maybe read the chat string. Then I get three and four word answers. Finally when I say forget it you are trying to help I get a somewhat decent response. This person is not trying...
I have called the help desk MULTIPLE times to resolve an email issue and it is still not working properly. I find the background noises during these calls to be unprofessional and I can actually hear other customers' conversations.

Because I thought it was a good service. But I realized I was charged $50 usd for a backup recovery. Something that pretty much all other hosting services offer for free.
Your website is awful and your chat support is worse.
The update stated that we would not loose our website or E-mail accounts. This significantly disturbed our business and required us to delete all accounts and reinstall on all devices. The new login screen has us log in with the account then brings up a separate screen to enter the password. This process does not allow a keychain to remember the log in code for our devices. Very frustrating to track down the password just to login. It should be easier to login, not harder. Website is still slow in comparison to others.

My site has been hacked. It happens. But I want my cpanel restored so I can rebuild. This is taking weeks. Should be easy, but I'm stuck waiting weeks. Likely going to move my hosting because of this horrible service.

Simple, helpful service...years ago. Terribly lacking in service, utility performance, and user experience in recent years though. Testing of releases must not be controlled, or the team does not use its own product and fails to see the flaws that cause so much frustration. I've taken the time to write reviews, I've reported user experience issues, and I've spoken to reps on the phone over the years. Never has a flaw or deficiency or other issue that I've reported been corrected.
The front door to the website asks for "user Name" when it sometimes means "email for user"...Sometimes it's the reverse. Took me 15 minutes to log in

I've been with you all for over 10 or 12 years now and never had a problem with your service until recently. A few years ago I would have given you a 5, but recently the quality of your service has unfortunately started to diminish. I hope you all can continue to improve your service.
I have contacted your chat about 4 times to fix an issue with the message box staying open. Still hasn't been fixed and it is beyond annoying!

Since your upgrades absolutely nothing works, cant edit my websites, your support still have open ticket nothing been done for over 2 months, your overall hosting has gone from pretty good to of no use at all to anyone... Of course an AI bot will be reading this and nothing will happen but hey why not write something anyway.
