I have attempted to resolve several issues with my account and my websites. You will see several call logs and chats. I'm reaching a point that I'm thinking of pulling everything off HostGate altogether and tell my friends/business associates to avoid your service altogether.
I like hostgator, just frustrated with the login method because it makes it tricky for my computer to auto add the password for some reason, it's able to do the email, but when it goes to another page for the password, my computer (Mac OS Ventura 13) doesn't auto add password, which is annoying. Also, since the update on this site, I'm not sure how to change the DNS settings to point my domain name to my host, I liked how easy it was to change the DNS before the update, please make that part more user friendly
Your redesign has made it harder for me to do what I need. Everything is hidden and I think you guys should offer anoption to go back to the old design.

Hostgator is a bunch of inexperienced people working from the Philippines. I purchased a dedicated server and they did a dns name change and lost all my data without my permission and it was in the middle of my backup. Then they promised to give me money for the trouble and make me sign a release which I did and they have not given me any money. It's mean almost 6 month and they don't respond. Looks like I have to sue them. Even the person on the phone said he can't wait to see what happens and how much they will give me. Don't ever use them, they have the worst customer service and it's impossible to get ahold of a manager or escalate your case because the engineers are located in a different time zone from the customer service reps who are not educated. WORST WORST WORST EVER!
One month I can't use server also support team take more time to solved issue till now not solved my issue after one month :)

I usually don't have issues speaking with hostgator. Usually, it's a one-and-done deal but not with my latest project. Connecting my site to a third party was supposed to be simple by changing a CNAME and i provided the link to where it was pointing. I had to push back the course release a week because I spoke to 3 different people at HostGator and the first two couldn't get it to work properly. After the third try it worked well. That person said they were going to report the first two who worked with me for not doing it correctly.
The service and pricing USED to be good. I'm shipping around now.

Once again, my issue did not get resolved.I was charged for services that I had already cancelled and did not receive a full refund. I also continue to receive messages regarding old domains I've already cancelled. I've turned off renewals again and again since I do not want them renewed. I should not keep getting charged for these domains. I will migrating all domains off your platform soon.
My experience has drastically decreased with time. The sad thing is, I have only increased my packages with time, but service has gone down. 24, now 48 hours and no updates on my escalated ticket. I buy a new, upgraded VPS package, and haven't even been able to use it yet. Service and promptness used to be much better, as well as quality of the product. Please convince me to stay...
The new portal sucks. The old portal had all your billing history from day one and as a customer for over 10 years, that history is gone. Plus I don't even know where to pay for my Cpanel.
Star rating & Tyler Moore video, but I should have chosen Bluehost I think because it has possibly free reliable SMPT bulk email. But I ay be wrong. Also most importantly there was a great YouTube by Tyler Moore with the first 15min showing very simply how to set up low cost HostGator and domain name. For about $30 then WordPress detailed step by step. He is very good at not missing steps.
Their website builder is completely broken for several months with no fix date. I can't edit my website unless I rebuild it completely on a different builder.
