Flow Teck Quality Air Systems installed an air conditioner for me this past week.
James was the best. Very knowledgeable and honest in what my needs were for my home. Very fair in price and the quality of work was excellent. Showed up on time, very respectful of my home( even wore booties over their shoes!), cleaned up after the job was complete and explained everything from start to finish.
If you are looking for a straight forward no nonsense company that gets the job done this is it.
Will be having Flow Teck back to do more work in my home.

Came across this site a number of years ago. Wrote some reviews for them way back because they offered online gift cards or codes with large retailers for writing review. However, never got to use them these codes as I logged on a few days later they are already expired (having a ridiculous small window to claim and use).
Recently, visited the site again. Wrote a neutral review on company which got rejected with no reason given. The company is rated around 9 out of 10 in Homestars. Did some research and this company has F rating with BBB. It blows my mind on how different the ratings between HomeStars and BBB for the same company. So, looks like they do reject no so good reveiws to keep ratings high for some companies.
I won't rely on their review to choose contractors anymore based on my experience.
I really don't put a lot of weight on any review based services online. They are all shady! Homestars actually pays people to add reviews wtihout any kind of verification. Trustedpros isn't any better. I like knackthat.com but they are new and there content is still growing.
I called Mr. Rooter for my drain back up and Brian MacDonald arrived right away and within 20 mins. He had fixed my problem and explained how to maintain the drain from backing up again. Mr. Rooter made a follow up call to make sure the service was to my satisfaction.
Did business with Home depot and Cerastone. They covered my walls and mirrors; they cleaned after the works; the bathroom is outstanding: a designer bathroom. Did this big job in about three weeks. The best contractors I ever hired. Extremely satisfied.
Customers need to go to the bbb to validate a contractor. Stay clear of this site and trusted pro, both big scum and mis lead ppl

I give Home-Stars, 4.0 of 5.0, I have some major problems with them posting FALSE reviews with false facts and this hurts my company. They are a good tool if you combine it with other references like the BBB rating e. T. c., Some times you will use a good company and not be happy it doesn't mean they weren't a good company. Overall I recommend Home-Stars even though I have lost money over their web-site, this is mainly because the consumer puts to much weight on bad reviews and false negative reviews. I hope some day Home-Stars will allow a business to show facts of a false review and remove it ( alot of opinions contain false facts, Home-Stars should take this more seriously and make it very clear to reviewers false facts WILL NOT be tolerated) Brent Routley Owner M and M Moving Systems

A Mr. John Dima from Mr. Rooter Plumbing cleared the drain in my kitchen sink today. He was a very pleasant gentleman, was very tidy and thorough. I would highly reccomend this company for the excellent job that was done. I have to say that I was a little surprised that it cost me $301.99 for 1/2 hours work. Maybe I should have shopped around.
This company was great, I started by contacting Wayne he measured accurately and got me a reasonable quote the same day. The next day Nick and Steve showed up with all the equipment they needed to build my chain link fence. They were efficient friendly and worked very hard from start to finish. A happy customer with a lovely fence!

The furnace guy had a perfect 10 score with glowing reviews. He overcharged us and didn't even know what he was doing. I couldn't wait to get him out of the house.
Some Cos have more than 1200 reviews with 10 score or almost 10 on homestars.ca
I figured out it is a shameless and pure scam after one of those Cos screwed me up. But homestars.ca has rejected my "bad" review!
Why does google put them on top of searches? Does homestars.ca pay google for participating in this scam?
It should be so easy for google to investigate and find out if homestars.ca and homestars.com are 50% scam or 90% fraud!
Homestars is great! They review and edit the reviews- to ensure no profane language is used- and if there is a deep discretion- as I have encountered, they contact both parties to discuss the issues.
I am a professional and have a business- my reviews are from my clients. Homestars has helped my business. Unsure why others are having issues- it is a straightforward service. Continue on Homestars!
Under the guise of doing good public service, Homestars has a vested self intrest dedicated to the bottom line. Homestars rarely verify if the customer is legit let alone if the neg comment is at all valid. Homestars will then contact the accussed bussines and offer their services for a fee. How convenient!
Don't count on this website. Homestars will not post good reviews if you don't pay them and will not allow anybody to post good revies. It's a scam!
Don't trust the contractors from this site either
They suck! I email homestar to ask how long it take to review my reviews of http://www.ottawafurnacefilters.ca (which is a good company) and she wrote me back this" Good morning,

I was accused by Homestars emplyee that I was working for the contractor that I was posting review for. They removed my feedback after failed attempts to post (3 times). Had to submit the invoice to them with no results. I promised the contractor to post for him and now I feel so bad
Total Fraud site... 3 people I hired on there all turned out to be total b. S & you can't review them because it was a pre-sale? I have good contacts in the media and will be exposing them shortly
I am one of the companies reviewed by homeowners on this site. I was not even aware there were reviews written until my clients advised me. These reviews were not solicited. Homestars takes all possible precautions to ensure that the reviews are credible. These are posted by people who have used a contractor and are the opinions of those individuals.
I think it is one of the best sites for homeowners to review potential contractors.
