They sent the wrong product and offered one of two solutions. Either a $75 credit or to issue a refund and return the product. Neither of which helped us since we designed our theatre room around the riser that we purchased through them.
The rep who called himself a manager was extremely rude and offered no solutions and instead asked me the solution that I wanted. When I told him a larger credit for their mistake he told me no and to deal with what I had. When I got upset he hung up leaving me without a solution and a wrong product. Had I had known I would have got what I got I would have went with another company.
Could not be any more disappointed with the company and their service
Went exactly like I wanted it to. Great responses (professional and easy to understand) to a phone query. Products were described properly on the site. Pictures represented products well. Very happy with my experience.
I was looking for a new dining room set as a gift to my parents. I had many criteria the light had to fit and I found them all in one particular piece. The set was on a great sale, it was a brand I knew to be high quality that my work also sells. It had the features, shape, size, everything and, I was given 5 day shipping for free. My friends agreed it was gorgeous and well worth the $1000
I ordered the Sage Reclining Chaise. Upon final submission of my order, I noticed the picture changed to a sage recliner. I called and was told it would be a chaise. When the delivery arrived, yep it's a recliner. They want me to put it together and take a picture. I sent them a picture of what arrived. They said it was what I ordered. Who doesn't know the difference between a chaise and a recliner. Mark in customer service is exactly how others describe him as, Rude and dismissive. Still waiting on their response to my return email with the picture of what I ordered. Several calls go unanswered, and unreturned. Hope the credit card company with work with me to cancel this payment.
The hall tree, coffee table, cubbies with hooks, over door hooks -- so far everything we've gotten via HCC has been as described. We spend quite a lot on HCC staff time getting answers (is this furniture solid wood, what wood exactly, what is the weight limit on this chair or that love seat, how are returns handled, etc. etc, etc) with the result that we have never had to use their generous return policy. We will get more things here for sure.
Very poor customer service. I reported damage upon receipt of the bedroom suite I ordered. The delivery driver noted on the Packing list that the one piece (dresser) had been compromised and the side was gouged. I took pictures with my phone since neither of us had a camera handy. These pictures showed the damage well enough to ascertain the dresser surely didn't arrive in excellent condition. I was told to take more pictures, of the whole dresser... with what? My phone? I told them I don't have a camera so now I need to go buy a camera and I best hurry up if I'm going to make their deadline. I told them they can come take all the pictures they need, just contact me first. Now I'm being told if I file claim they will sue me with a civil suite... now that's customer service! They're a scam.
The Sectionals HCC sells are very nice and true to written about them. Colors are very accurate, and materials are extremely comfortable.
Customer Service staff is verify helpful. And even with shipping and still cheaper to buy from HCC than any less original furniture in my local town. Despite one small shipping hiccups I had with my order quickly. I still go back and plan to furnish the rest of my house soon. Would highly recommend!
I am 68 years old and don't like ordering online. I am old-school. Pick up the phone and talk to a live person, place my order and I'm done. Usually I get almost to the end and still have to call someone and go through a lot of prompts, before I get to a live person, and sometime have to be transferred.
Your process was so simple, that before I go to any other web-site I will check yours first. Also, the my package was received in a timely fashion.
Shopping on HCC is so easy. The lay out of the pages is well done. Descriptions of merchandise are generally perfectly detailed. I can easily go in and out of product descriptions without having to go back to the beginning as what happens with some sites. The site format or functionality changes occasionally but it is always a great update. One of the few "marketing" e-mails that I receive that I actuality look on a regular basis.
I was very pleased with my purchase on Home Cinema Center and would highly recommend. I bought a Catnapper sectionalnot a small item. Home Cinema beat my local department stores price by $400, and delivered the sectional in just two weeks. The local guys wanted 3-4 months. That made up my mind immediately
After the purchase was made I was called with questions regarding shipment and then received calls from the shipping company which delivered without incident.

I was excited to see a furniture site with such high quality looking furniture for a great price... well now I know why. I purchased a dining room table and bedroom set from this company. Upon placement of order, 2 weeks later I found out that the bed frame wasn't available. Since there was no other option I opted for a refund. The refund was no problem to get. Next, they called to schedule the delivery of the furniture about 3 weeks after the first interaction. The delivery man dropped off a crate of items, which did not appear to be our in the center of our garage. We let him know that it was not what we ordered and he said the order number matches, then left. After calling Home Cinema and letting them know, some vague, disgruntled employee answered the phone and told me my order was "lost" and they would let me know when they found it. A few days past and no calls to me happened. I called back and the same disgruntled guy answer the phone and told me they found it and it would be to me at "some point" then they would pick up the wrong furniture sent and drop off what I ordered. Needless to say a week later the shipping company called and attempted yet again a delivery. After delivering our furniture (all boxes were banged up and torn up) the delivery company said they couldn't take the wrong freight back as they have no records to do so. We received our furniture and put everything together... everything was damaged. Multiple chips and scratches/broken pieces... and still a giant freight load of furniture that wasn't ours sitting in the center of the garage. I contact Home Cinema to let them know my furniture is broke. They completely ignored my request and asked if I returned the furniture. I told them the situation and they said "ok" then completely ignored me. Delivery company is now trying to figure out another pick up time to schedule which I have to wait a 4 hour period again. I called Home Cinema once again to talk about the damage to all my furniture and they stated they would not talk to me until the wrongfully delivered furniture was picked up. The company then threatened to charge me for the furniture if I didn't respond within 4 hours to schedule a delivery. I have emailed and called Home cinema over 10 times to try and get everything straightened out. The same smug, rude, disgruntled man continuously answers the phone and never provides any customer service. I am pretty sure that he also answers all the emails under "alias names" because they have the same rude actions. Unless you want to throw away all your money to receive broken furniture, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Save yourself some money and headaches.
What a wonderful experience dealing with HCC. I worked with a servie Rep named Kelly. She was extremely helpful. The entire order pcicess was explained to me and she followed through right up to the scheduled delivery date. The white glove delivery crew brough everything inside, removed th boxes, setup the furniture and did the asembly. I just watched and offered drinks.:)

I was amazed at the speed in which we received our order., faster than what was quoted. This is my second order and they always come through.

Ordered an upholstered leather office chair $400 and a $1000 desk. Chair arrived badly damaged and desk came with wrong parts, couldn't be assembled. I immediately contacted Home Cinema Center to request a solution to the issues at the time the items were delivered and unpacked at about 1230 pm Central Time on 07/25/2016. The packaging for the items was in good condition with no holes, dents or visible damage. Upon opening the box with the chair I discovered both wooden arms on the chair were snapped clear through. One of the chair arms had a sloppy hole drilled through it that looked like a botched repair. When I opened the desk boxes I found the desk was shipped with two left drawer base units and it couldn't therefore be assembled to the desk top. The items arrived at 1200 noon on 07/25/2016. I called the company immediately upon discovery of the issue at about 1230 pm. The man on the phon, Marc was very rude and short with me on the phone, demanding I send him email "proof" to verify my claims. He then hung up on me twice without any explanation of what the return process is or any apology for the defective merchandise. I then immediately send photos of the chair with two broken wooden arms and the desk with two left base units which could not be assembled. There needs to be a left and a right unit to be able to assemble the desk. I called again on 07/26/2016 and Marc again refused to speak to me about how my issue was going to be resolved and refused to even confirm receipt of the photos I sent by e-mail. The company has a 7 day return policy and refused to discuss what will be done to resolve this issue. When asked if they received my photos he told me it would take three to five days to respond by email. I demanded they pick up defective items and provide a full refund. There has been no response. There are multiple (29) other customers with similar complaints at the following consumer website: https://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.homecinemacenter.com Go to One star reviews and you will see a definitive pattern with the same shoddy customer service.
Then when I attempted to post an honest review of their activities on the HomeCinemaCenter.com site, set up for that purpose for its customers it was not posted. Apparently they will only post positive reviews. This is a home based business using a UPS post office box as their business address. All items were paid in full in advance so there is no reason I would lie about having received defective products. This can happen to any distributor but my main issue is with the completely unprofessional and unresponsive attitude by Marc when I attempted to resolve this issue. If possible I will post the photos of the items sent to my house. STAY AWAY, this business does not want to assist you in a reasonable way if things go wrong.

I have ordered other items from HCC and have always been satisfied. This was no exception. The order shipped within a day of placing it on line and I received the item 5 days later. They kept me informed every step of the way and gave me a direct phone number to call my rep if I needed anything.
The item looked like it should and was just what I had expected. Our entire family is loving our new sectional and entertainment center. Great experience!

Another example of exceptional customer service! I did receive one piece with missing plastic connectors, BUT EVERY time the issue was resolved immediately and successfully leaving me a happy customer.
