A very good experience overall starting with a phone call and ending with a technician that was very friendly and explained things to my Dad's caregiver.

Contacted HA to remove a large shrub from my house. The job should have taken 3-4 hours. They scheduled a "Pro" the following Thursday. The "Pro" shows up with no tools to complete the job. He reschedules for 9:30am Sunday. He shows up at 2:30 ( it gets dark at 5:30) with no wood chipper or truck. He doesn't finish the job before it got dark. He tells me he'll be back the following morning. He never shows. Doesn't answer my texts or calls for 2 days. I call HA. They schedule another "Pro" for Saturday. He shows up with no truck or wood chipper. He says he doesn't own either. I call HA for a refund. They try to convince me to try another "Pro". I refuse, I've already wasted 4 days on a 4 hour project. They say they will only offer 1/2 my money back because they've sent two "Pros" out to do the job. I told them I was going to dispute the charge with my bank and they finally offered me a full refund. Now I'm stuck trying to find someone to remove a yard full of branches and logs.
Had a great experience with Amy settler that helped clean my aunts house during the holidays when my aunt was not doing well. She even went above cleaning by helping her with putting away her groceries. We couldn't be happier and thankful for her.

Failed service, overall. We filled in the questionnaire to detail for the fixed rate quote and yet, Home Advisor's hourly estimation was at least 3 times off. The painter arrived, alone, and said he would need an entire additional day (charging us double than the original). We were forced to accept because we were moving in the next day. After almost an hour on the phone, H. A's agreed to respect the original quote but the painter cancelled on us anyhow. We ended up rushing to Home Depot to hire 3 random painters, who completed the job professionally. Will never, ever, use Home Advisor again.
I submitted my requirement, in this case mounting a supplied satellite dish and its protective cover atop our camper, I had a couple of recommendations but either the price or time frame was unsuitable for our needs. Ken was just terrific with his knowledge and expertise, and the end cost was about half of the other quotes.
Overall a happy experience and very easy. We were contacted quickly and that made the job happen.
