It's hard to find someone to do small jobs. I am taking care of mother's home from a distance. I got someone to do the job and shop for it from a distance. He did it within a week onmy schedule.

I picked two from their list, and they (with my permission) forwarded this to a 3rd contractor that I ultimately went with, as they were far and away the best. Their prices were right in line with the others, and I'm quite pleased with the job they did.

I was given a quote of $264.36 to install 4 ceiling fans in my home. Then I was charged the $264.36, plus an additional $435.60.
My initial quote stated nothing about an allowable time for the installer to complete the task, nor mention of my being billed additional if that time was exceeded. I, rightfully expected, that the quote was for the work effort completion. It was not my fault that the installer took longer to complete the job. Heck, I even tipped him $40 for his efforts.
So, imagine my surprise when I got the additional billing. I'm sure you'd find it difficult to give a favorable rating after too.
