The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

Excellent, efficient, great moving experience. Would definitely hire and recommend Sebastian Moving company for any future moves.
It was very professional, my experience was extremely good. He communicated with me through the whole process, he answered all questions in a timely manner, he even answered my late night calls when I was concerned of something.
I'm posting this review for contractors. This company is not legit. They take your money and the leads go nowhere. You're charged for leads that don't respond as well as the ones you don't respond to. I've lost so much money dealing with HomeAdvisor. I suggest you promote your own business. And word of mouth goes a long way.
They kept me informed of different contractors during my entire process until I picked a contractor. I had enought information to make a informative decision on who to use.
I used this website and they found me a very good and trustworthy contractor. I would recommend them to family and friends.
Very fast and efficient. Two out of the threes pros did contact me.
Chris was on time in fact a few minutes early. He did his work and left no mess and the toilet he repaired works Great
Installer arrived on time as agreed upon and cost was what was quoted did a great job
I used Home Advisor for an electrician. We had to pay an upfront fee of $340 before we could get an electrician. We hired that electrician and he did a fine job. He told me that he was getting $112.00 for the job. Which meant that we paid Home advisor $230 just for finding an electrician. What a ripoff! Never again will I used Home Advisor!
Not sure how all of this works regarding HomeAdvisor but I had submitted a potential job looking for an estimate. Kevin from Polyverse Solutions contacted me regarding my request. He came to look at the project and with the professionalism expected he did all kinds of measurements and came up with an estimate the next day. Contact with Kevin was continual as we firmed up what was needed. Any feedback we gave was accepted with enthusiasm and passed on to his team immediately. I have already scheduled another job with Polyverse as I was so pleased with the first job.
Only got two companies to respond through home Advisor. However both companies were good. The company that installed the fence was excellent.
Contacted for quotes, he was the first caller. He was sympathetic and understood challenge. Work professional and prompt. Kept in touch with updates on progress.
I was looking for someone to paint the ceiling and walls in a bedroom. I requested recommendations from my Home Advisor and received names immediately. I was contacted by L&M painting & Odd Jobs within a short period of time.
I got contacted bye the pro s quickly, and was able toe pick one. And they responded quickly, they wanted the work.
Quick and nice product provided by home advisor. Home advisor found many compatible contractors to help get the project started and finished in a timely manner.
The person you recommended did a very good job. I am happy with the job.
After our contact with HomeAdvisor, we received several inquiries regarding our need for a new furnace. We were impressed with the first contractor that contacted us and scheduled an appointment for the next day. During his visit, we were deciding to have his company install our new furnace, but we did not realize the urgency. It had been acting up, but completely failed while the owner of the company was still talking to us. He made some changes in his schedule so he and one of his employees could install our new furnace the next day. They did a great job, and we have been very pleased with our new furnace. The only issue we had was that the calls from other contractors kept coming long after our furnace was installed. That was only a minor inconvenience, however. We feel that the best contractor for us was the one that called first! We are pleased and will use them when we need to replace our air conditioner. If we hadn't used HomeAdvisor we would not have found the contractor for our new furnace because they were not located in our town and not listed in our local phone directory.
Very satisfied with everything. I'm glad I listen to home advisor to hire roofers Elite company to do my roof.
I am very happy with their quality of work they finished it in one day.
And the price the price very affordable.
Thank you vennie and Cody for your great service to your customers!
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
