The company exhibits a mixed reputation, with notable strengths in customer satisfaction when it comes to specific contractors and service providers, who are often praised for professionalism and quality work. However, significant concerns arise regarding the lead generation service, with numerous customers expressing frustration over poor-quality leads, lack of refunds for invalid contacts, and overwhelming solicitations. Many reviews indicate a decline in service quality following the merger with Angie's List, leading to a perception of the company as unreliable. Overall, while individual service experiences can be positive, systemic issues with lead handling and customer support remain prevalent.

When looking for a professional landscaper, I was matched with a local business. Meeting up for the estimate worked out perfectly. My job was scheduled within less 1 week. Completion happened within a more than reasonable time frame of 1.5 days.
I completed the questionaire from Hpme Advisor, following the prompts. Everything fell into place smoothly. I was given a choice of Home Maintenance companies. The one I chose did an excellent job.
Home Advisor was non-responsive and I had to find a glass contractor on my own. You have gotten too big too fast and cannot compensate properly for your growth and it clearly shows in responding ( or lack thereof) to the customer.
Once I contacted HomeAdvisor, I got two recommendations. After talking to each of the two, I chose one. So much easier than trying to find the right people for this unusual job. I will use HomeAdvisor again for future unique needs.
Excellent service Easy to find what I was looking for even the callback from a representative was easy to understand
Found several roofers on Home Advisor. Selected # for estimates. Looked over all the estimates, compared thejob and material lists. Selected the most reasonable for me. The job was performed very well. Excellent company. Will use Home Advisor in the future if needed.
I was very pleased with Dominic and his worker. I will definitely hire him again if I need this type of job done. The neighbors have also commented on the great job that was done
We hired someone to do an assembly- he broke pieces and left without finishing. He just walked off the job and hung up on me when I called to find out what was going on. That was bad, but the customer service was even worse when I called to figure out next steps. Where do their pros come from? I called FIVE times to talk to a supervisor and no one ever called me back to resolve the issue. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced and the so-called "pros" are clearly not vetted. If you have a project that goes wrong, you are not in good hands.
Fabulous, perfect coordination and communication from thought to bought, thank you
This is a fast and easy way to get professionals to respond to your need.
More than one service called immediately after my information was given. My project was completed same day through the service I chose. I was pleased with the end result.
I have used them before and they have helped me find the people I needed
No happy with the rep I spoke with. I was left on hold. She never came back to the phone
I was very please with the speed in which they found recommendations for me and the quality work that company performed
Please with referral however The cost was more than work done
Smooth and professional, Anthony was very courteous and respectful, did his job efficiently and showed up right on time.
Ok. Easy to do on computer. Don't like this end of the survey. Seems intrusive, and unnecessary;.
I set up a booking for a handyman, I was told within 1 hr someone will call me, days went by, no text, calls nor emails from anyone.
Well home"RIPOFF ARTIST" advisors sent me multiple email asking "hows my project coming along"?.
I cancelled 2 days prior from my project. I was told NO FEES will be applied to my card. I told the rep delete all my information from your data banks. I was told Yes No Problem. I looked at my online bank account, and I see a $19.99 Fee! WHAT THE *******@CK! When I called the company the rep Katlyn refused to transfer me to a Supervisor or Manager.
So I paid money for nothing! This company steals money in the mist of a PANDEMIC! Holy Crap you have to be some real piece of crap to do that. That rep Katlyn was somewhat amused that I was upset over this... it's not the cash, it's the Principle of the matter. GOOD JOB HOME "RIPOFF" ADVISOR!
I'LL MAKE SURE TO POST THIS ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA & TRUST ME WHEN I SAY "WORD OF MOUTH IS GONNA COST YOU MORE THAN $19.99. You people should be ASHAMED!
HomeAdvisor is a well known and trusted site. Picked locksmith from a list of preferred contractors... felt good about the list.
Answer: We had a similar experience when first trying Home advisor out. They kept taking money out of our account arbitrarily. I finally had to file stop payment forms at my bank. Then they threatened us with extra fees unless we "settled" our account. We have strict DTPA laws (deceptive trade practice act) in our state. I advised we complain to our Attorney General about this. I think home advisor should be banned in our state because of this fraud.
Answer: I didn't, they have been blowing my phone up for 6 month's now and now they act like thier desperate for me to sign with them. I have absolutely no want or will i ever sign with them after i have heard what thier doing to contractors who have a contract with them. I just signed with a family owned reality company and even they told me not to sign and even when i tell home advisor i don't want thier business they ignore my request and still call and now they act like thier a home owner requesting painting but once i get to asking where they live or information all of a sudden I'm being told to do a background check and i sign up for free! But i have to pay a percentage of my leads or size of job something of that nature where i pay them for a no guarantee of work as i see it. I can't trust handing money to a company that's being deceitful in a phone call off the rip! Just be careful i don't hear good thing's about them all over now.
Answer: Fake leads, sends email, text & calls between 20-30/day and charges for each. Even if Contractor doesn't open Or answer any calls! Will rip off contractors about $800/day until they catch it and no refunds! Do Not Use HomeAdvisor!
Answer: I don't know about the house cleaners but, I do not trust the company based on my own recent experience.
Answer: You don't know you have to call home advisor and wait on the phone for an hr until they pick up
